@@jii-ro7083 no he doesn’t only 3 sunfalls, and no mass removal on 4, no depop. The guy that was spectating the match was also completely wrong: “Yuta’s build has less boardwipes but more counter magic which is favourable versus domain ramp”. This statement is completely erroneous. You saw how worthless his phantom interferences and no more lies were getting as the RAMP player played more lands? You saw how useless wandering emperor also got as Yuta just stalled the board. This is where wrath and aoe effects are the most useful in this matchup. And discarding temp lock down to hand size by Yuta was ridiculous as that card deals with herd migragation. Neither his main deck nor his sideboard are equipped to deal with domain ramp (only a few tidebinders from the sideboard which are ez to play around) because they cut a bunch of cards to make room for 3 steps ahead. And also no Jace

Game 3: Takahashi leaves an Up the Beanstalk in play for several turns while having an answer for it... Final result Takahashi loses the finals by 3-1... As a control player you shouldn't leave your opponent with an almost infinite card draw engine for several turns as he did... He eventually got overwhelmed by all the value generated by that card

@Marionettetc you would come to be surprised that people actually like to play the game reactively rather than proactively. It's just as efficient to deny your opponent to play by dictating their moves as it is to overwhelm them quickly with aggro or combo off. People who say he isn't playing should play a few rounds of UW and see if they can make the correct reads. It's very similar philosophy to poker, read the board, read their hands, understand tempo. Especially when decklists are known and you're counting cards waiting for the threat points and choke points in the play. If you don't know BOTH decks, you can't control anything, you're just making blind reads based on only the common knowledge on board, which is only 1/3 of the assessment.
