    Am I understanding correctly that to “solve” this issue it’s about relaxing the pelvic floor rather than strengthening it? I’m so confused.

    Partially, it's not all about strengthening. The core and pelvic floor is a system that works together both lengthening and activating. It's all about managing intra-abdominal pressure when there is too much pressure this can lead to pelvic floor gripping and tension contributing to pelvic floor issues. Squeezing and just doing kegels can increase pressure and is not a functional. Our core and pelvic floor needs to react, respond, adapt to all of our movements throughout the day.
