One of the greatest albums most people have never heard of.... Deja Vu, Crystal Ball, Rising Force.... what an album! Cheese, 80s glam, whatever, but such a fun album at the time. For something completely different: Aaj (pronounced Ah-j) by the Indian metal band Bloodywood - subtitles on . . . and when is the last Nightwish album being reacted to? Interested in your opinion. Love the content. Happy and a peaceful New Year.

Ah, the eighties hair bands. Sometimes the music was great, but the lyrics were generally teen angst pap. I loved the look on Crissy's face, sissy rock is the perfect term for this. Stay safe, God Bless, keep rocking.

When Yngwy still cared about the music and let real singers do the job shining the song and not only his arpeggio’s like hese days. Saw him lastyear in The Netherlands. He is a virtuoso UT he mad such damn good songs but his singing fucks them up and most of them he can’t sing thus not playing them…eternal shame….

Saw Yngwie on his first Rising Force opening for AC/DC. Tore my head clean off. He threw his guitar in the air high as hell and missed the catch. I’ll remember that show forever. Also, he doesn’t like donuts. Just don’t even offer.

😄Sissy rock, haha. That's my problem with the old-school rock-n-roll and blues. Some incredible guitarists and good singers, but it's hard to take them seriously. I prefer much more serious music - something like this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/a6ydlrFtgtnSnrQ.html 🤣🤪 Maybe we should introduce our friends to her one day.

@@frank1963 The legendary Mother of Punk. Some call her a goddess but it's a blasphemy, as this title is reserved for someone else... Now when I think of it - she must have been one of the first classically trained female singers to enter the world of rock. I guess being just another opera singer in DDR wouldn't have been nearly as fun.

Problem with Malmsteen is, he wasn't gifted in 'song' writing. As with so many other guitarists the masses have never known. Gifted guitarists in 'playing' and 'song' writing: - Eric Clapton(Cream and solo) - Jimi Hendrix(majority of the songs on first album could've been radio hits) - Eddie van Halen (could 'play' & 'write' great songs) - Randy Rhoads??? ...hmm... if he didn't get the lucky chance of being picked up by a famous name such as Ozzy Osbourne ...most likely would've been 'Randy who' ??? Such as Uli jon Roth, Michael Schenker, etc. ..great guitarists, but didn't have the song writing at the time in the bands they were with. You can be the greatest guitarist on Earth, but without the talent of writing great songs, likely to be never known(unless someone else in band has that talent or big name) Btw, I used to own the candy apple red version of the Malmsteen sig Strat in 2011, which you see VERY briefly in this series of slapped together clips. Cool guitar, scalloped fretboard and all. That brass nut was weird though, just looked outta place! Loved the late '60s/ 70s big headstock though! ...but really wanted his main cream colored Strat!

No doubt Blackmore was a huge influence on Yngwie. The first album he bought was Deep Purple's Fireball. But with that said I don't hear Blackmore's licks when I listen to Heaven Tonight, Far Beyond the Sun, I'll See the Light Tonight, Rising Force, Seventh Sign, Disciples of Hell, Demon Driver, Trilogy Suite etc... Yngwie has a distinct style. The way I look at it is Blackmore is mostly blues with a touch of classical, whereas Yngwie is mostly classical with a touch of blues. They are similar in some ways, yet very different. Both are great, and both are forever linked. Yngwie took what players like Uli Jon Roth and Blackmore started and brought it to a different level.

I was in my twenties in the 80s. And I loved the glam metal scene. It's been around for more than you guys think. It started in the early '70s with bands like New York Dolls and T-Rex. And probably the biggest one was Ziggy stardust better known as David Bowie. And there's more and it went all the way to the early 90s that's 20 years right there. Plus even now they're still bands like crazy licks reckless Love crash diet. He'll never go away so that's still in my wheelhouse plus you were bands from Europe and Japan. I'm back in the day calling it here could get you in a load of trouble. I still don't like it being called that cancel it's probably going pretty strong for 40 years there are a lot of Glam bands still in the United States too. Just saying

@@timlister180 I still love those bands and I guess it was 50 years not 40 they're still around. Cuz it was like 72 when I was listening to like New York Dolls and T-Rex all. And look at all the '80s bands that are still performing but whatever. That's why I do look for a lot of new bands. I could send you tons of hands to check out but I don't know a lot of Americans don't listen to a lot of European and Japanese music. But I love your channel
