Before they did music videos and the talk show, they were performing artists, doing sketches and musical-style funny bits (mostly in norwegian though). Check out "YLVIS 3", with skits like "9/11 on ice", or "I can be a hero" in english ;)

Sometimes the church you go to, the bible you read, the preacher you listen to is wrong, harsh, and have very little understanding of a person's emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and desires. No man, woman, or child has the right to dictate another man, woman, or child's life and their ways of living that life. Nothing is wrong or stronger than love. Love is an extremely powerful force that not even the powers we adore and respect most can overpower. Think about it. It's a very easy concept to understand, and a very important concept to know.

In my South African history class, we were listening to some serious apartheid-era music about Mandela's imprisonment and all I could think about was 1:12-1:20 of this song. Had to stifle laughter.

This is clearly my discovery of the century...It is brilliant, hilarious and sometimes even shocking. I mean at 3:45 is this for real? These guys do not afraid. It's a satire on those travel commercials for sure, but also so many cultural references, many music styles. Great views of Massachusetts and beautiful voices.. How can you mix it in just one song?! I trust you have been on an Ylvis binge? I'm not deep into Toto but I get a vibe of that in this song. They're buddies with Stargate producers (Rhianna Sia etc) so I just assume they can call in amazing studio artists. I have a great affection for The Cabin by Ylvis too, and of course... oh lord: The Josh Groban-ish "Stonehenge". Vegard replaced Josh Groban on stage in a Norwegian concert to mess with the audience.

Hehe. Well,they are Norwegian comedians with their own talk show in Norway and have had for years (even before the American «The lonely Island). Ylvis is two brothers, Vegard and Bård Ylvisåker, here with their sidekick Calle). They have made many great songs for their talk show. They also made «The fox» (What does the fox say?) who went viral with 1 billion views worldwide.

When I was a child, I lived in Boston, Massachusetts.... It was really nice city, and people were really kind. Massachusetts is still one of the best cities for me.

As somebody from the town next to Pingryville, it isn't really a real place. Nobody ever talks about Pingryville, not many people live there, and most people just call the area "east Ayer" or "south Littleton." To their credit, though, there is a dance school in that part of Ayer.

I'm honestly dumbfounded by the fact that I've haven't heard of Ylvis as often as I would expect given the songs I'm binging on right now

I drove there down from Canada with a friend last week end. Nothing more than friends I swear. And yeah we drank, I fainted, he threw up, I threw up in my sleep, he threw up some more, and then threw up the whole of the next day as I was driving him back. It didn't go well.

the donkey man Don't worry I didn't drive drunk. I dont drive if I drank at all, ever. Someone very dear to me was hit by a drunk driver once,

I THINK IT IS A GREAT SONG. I LOVE IT. I FIND MYSELF SINGING RIGHT ALONG WITH THEM. I ALSO LIKE THEIR SONG STONEHENGE. REALLY OTHER THAN MOST OF THE PROFANITY IN THEIR SONGS EXCEPT ( THE FOX SONG). ALL THEIR SONGS HAVE CATCHY TUNES. IAM ALOT OLDER THAN THE YLVISAKER BROTHERS. AND I CANT BELIEVE WHAT GOOD STRONG SINGING VOICES AND WHAT GOOD TUNES THEY KEEP IN THEIR VOCALS. LIKE MAJOR PROFFESIONAL SINGERS. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY HAVEN'T DONE MORE WITH SINGING CAREER THAN THEIR TALK SHOW AND THEIR COMEDY ROUTINES. THEIR MUSIC ALONE IS GREAT AND THEIR VIDEOS ARE GOOD AND FUNNY AND HUMEROUS.

Going to Massachusetts for the first time tomorrow, I’m gonna play this song when I’ll cross the state line that’s for sure.

I live in mass and all I have to say is this song is perfect.

I love how Vegard is still dancing when Calle is telling the cheerleaders how to spell it! ^_^

I listen to this almost every morning, it gets on the mood to face the day!

I cannot express fully my complete love for this song, and I keep coming back to hear it because it is just that kind of awesome. Thank you all for bringing this creation upon us.

Not only is Massachusetts an undiscovered paradise, it's also a shorter drive than the cabin.

Half of people thinks it sounds like a nice place, the other half thinks it's an insult to the state. Really shows how random lyrics makes people interpret it the way they want.

The close on Bruce's face kills me everytime hahaha
