In personal experience from a state notorious for hard water - the method shower spray does work at slowing calcium build up and streaks. But you have to make a habit of using it every time you use the shower/tub. It works best after you squeegee off the areas of the shower that build up calcium. Smells great too!

I intensely dislike Scrubbing Bubbles products. They smell like urine. I couldn't understand why after cleaning, why my house smelled like urine. It was going on for weeks and this is after Covid took away 95% of my ability to smell permanently! It was disgusting. Others have commented on that also. I called the company. I'm not the only one who smells this horrid smell apparently. Even in a brand new home and bathroom. Don't know what chemicals are used in them but never had that problem again after throwing them all out.

​@cghrios783 Magic erasers have always worked well for me in removing buildup on glass shower doors. Also if you don't know, a pumice stone can be used to remove the toughest of toilet bowl rings. Hope that helps!

Zep foaming wall cleaner saved my brand new paint job! In the process of remodeling a basement room I vacuumed out an ash door in the chimney which sent a really fine coat of ash on all my freshly painted walls. 😱 Everything I tried to clean it up with just smeared it around and made it look even worse. I was worried I was going to have to repaint. Then I stumbled on this video and ran out and got the Zep foaming wall cleaner. The foam lifted the ash away from the walls so I could wipe it up rather than smearing it. My walls look like new! Thanks so much! ❤️❤️❤️

I'm a Clorox Clean-Up Bleach Spray Queen. I love that product. Disinfects beautifully. I use it religiously in both my kitchen and bathroom.

Zep is my go-to product. The mold and mildew will clean anything! This stuff will remove motor oil off sidewalks! It's strong, so I would advise you to use it in a well ventilated area or wear a mask. Recently, I've found it in the dollar tree plus aile for 3 bucks. If you have hard water, this is the only thing I have found that removes it.😊

Even with the door open, a pedestal fan and moisture eliminator pellets with charcoal thing I've starter to notice spots on the ceiling above the shower😬

Be careful with ZEP products. They will DEFINITELY do the job. But take a look at the Health and Safety warnings on it. Very dangerous. I’d say gloves and mask when using those products. Thx for the tips.

@@Only1TeeTee I highly recommend Clorox Toilet bowl cleaner as an alternative. Yes, the toilet bowl cleaner for your shower. I use this stuff on EVERYTHING! It even cleans clogged drains. I use it on my tiled shower, let it sit for 20-30 minutes and it wipes off with ease! Happy Cleaning. 😊

@@blehblehblehdraculaI’ve been doing this since the 90’s. Toilet bowl cleaner cleans the porcelain in the toilet and doesn’t damage it, so cleaning porcelain tile with it is perfectly fine.

Zep is so underrated. It's great product! I use it in my bathrooms. ACE hardware had them on sale two for $1.00!!! Yes, 2 for $1.00. I asked why they were so cheap, and they said they over ordered during the pandemic.

Have you ever tried the Caldrea brand? They have lots of scents and even some for the holidays.

I do some house cleaning. My tip for mirrors is alcohol (you can reduce it with water if you want) best tip I received. No streaks, it disinfects and it drys quickly. I can also use it to remove some stains in the walls. -do a small test patch

Just don’t use it on stairs because it will make them a fall hazard. I would suggest using vinegar and water because that’s what I used, and it was very economical.

I agree with everything, except the Windex. 😂 I just love windex I think it works great. Old habits die hard I guess 😊❤

The zep blue glass cleaner is pretty awesome too. Great on car windows.

One note for everyone watching. Be aware of mixing chemicals, or even their fumes. Never use products with ammonia or bleach in the same space simultaneously or mixed together. Also Pine-Sol is acidic, and Mr. Clean is alkaline. They target different things. I only like the Mr. Clean lemon original as that’s the only one that still has any type of sanitizing or disinfecting properties. The same is true for Pine-sol. Only the original scent has those properties. Depending on application, I highly recommend the Lysol floor cleaner as it will still kill germs even when diluted (to specific strengths and if you follow directions on dwell time.) Love this list

There's a generic version of it they sell at the dollar store that works literally just as good as sprayway. I have like 4 bottles of it. It's amazing. Streak free shine Everytime. All my windows and mirrors look brand new. 😂

The scrubbing bubbles foaming bleach cleaner is the ONLY thing that got rid of tough mold in my shower- customer for life!!

If you didn’t have it inspected afterwards and it’s a more harmful mold please have an inspector look. Just because it looks clean, and you THINK you got all of the mold off you most likely did not. Especially if the mold is coming from a crack or hard to reach place. If it’s a simple non-toxic mold don’t bother, but when it’s actually a toxic mold please take care of it professionally.

All of these things are full of chemicals there are natural ways to clean. For mold I use a mixture of water with tea tree oil. I spray it, but it sit for a little bit and then wipe it all down in the mold is gone I do not use any of the cleaners on her list at all. Bleach is the worst thing you can use in your home. All of these chemicals are so harmful for you and your family.

That zep wall cleaner is awesome! picked some up this weekend to touch up a few areas after seeing a couple videos . it doesn’t at least in my experience leave discoloration on the walls

I clean for a living and I mainly use Dawn dish soap, and vinegar. I use bleach for the toilets and Method window cleaner and Method furniture polish. It is way less toxic than using aerosol cleaners. Vinegar is also great for windows.

@cecilla I don’t even put vinegar in with it anymore since vinegar is so acidic and doesn’t smell very good. But I do use a fair drizzle of dawn, soap, and some warm water and five drops of peppermint essential oil. Then I shake it. This is in a small spray bottle. It smells amazing and it does clean and it’s cheap. ☺️

I would not have you clean in My Home. Bleach is extremely toxic and hard on my septic system. It is also very bad to breathe it in. It also does nothing for hard water stains. It is not very effective. No wonder we are destroying this planet with all this toxic stuff we use.

@@candacerain1Dawn is great for laundry stains. I just put a tiny drop on the stain, then put like a tablespoon of straight ammonia on top of it. I either rub it or use a soft, small, brush to work it in, before I put the item in the wash.

Bona works great for natural pine floors. I have a satin finish on my floors.

@@elisegreen2024 I use Bona hardwood floor cleaner. I suggest you visit your local commercial flooring store. To have natural wood floors and dishes mean natural. I used Bona Nordic Seal and Bona Mega One Waterborne Wood floor Satin finish. I hope this helps.

I’m not a professional cleaner, but I clean with baking soda and vinegar. Especially with toilet. After you flush, put a cup or 2 of vinegar, in the tube that fills with water. It flushes out the mold that lives in the toilet bowl. Stops it from forming that black gunk. Also keeps hard water from forming

This doesn’t work for my toilets. That tube puts the water at a hole in the bottom of the toilet. The rim jets are missed entirely. It’s super annoying because I have to fill the tank instead of just that tube.

I personally love Bona for my wood floors. Cleans great and they are gorgeous! I use Mr. Clean Freak for my kitchen counters and my stove, does a great job and smells so good.

I live in an old rental house that the landlords do absolutely nothing 😢 would Bona help the old untreated wood floors? I've tried everything to bring them even a little bit of shine and nothing helps them and I have to try and fix thing's myself because I can't and want get a person to redo the floors that they don't do it because by the time I pay them rent on this falling down house, light bill water and my other bills I'm pretty much broke

I use distilled vinegar and dawn in water as hot as I can tolerate (while wearing gloves) for MOST things, and Murphy’s Oil Soap on our hardwood floors. Bona to spot-clean when one of the puppers has an accident. I HAVE used Sprayway to restore some original stained glass that the previous owners had slopped wood stain onto during a renovation and it works wonders but is really harsh smelling. I use Perfect Glass for mirrors and spot cleaning external windows that cannot handle ammonia. I’m curious to try the Zep wall cleaner! I only worry that it might strip paint?

I used to work for a flooring company and Murphy's Oil soap is not good, it leaves a sticky film that actually attracts dirt and dust.

Zepp in general is amazing. I switched from windex to zepp glass cleaner and I’ll say that I’ll never go back.

Be careful Zep is also a very very very powerful industrial product, that’s why it works so well 😅 pls use w caution everyone

it's not good for deep cleans and such. Products are only as effective as their intended use. Like using ammonia chloride solutions routinely in a shower will strip off soap scum and grease and keeps it from building up to crusty layer. Or, using a solution of white vinegar with water on faucets for hard water stains will keep mineral deposits from building up, because calcite on faucets will cure every 12 hours or so, so using a light routine clean saves you from a time consuming strip and scrub

ZEP cleaning products are amazing. My husband used to work for ZEP. We used to get all our cleaning products for free. I fell in love with the foaming glass cleaner years ago when they were first developing it. We actually got to test some of the earlier formulas. I always tell people "You can't go wrong with ZEP products".

The method daily shower cleaner is meant to be sprayed on your shower/bath walls after every use to prevent buildup. I have SUPER hard water in my home and my shower has glass doors, this product is the best thing I’ve ever purchased. It helps keep my glass doors almost perfectly clear (there will always be some build up) and helps keep soap scum at bay. When I go in to clean my shower/bathtub I need little to almost no elbow grease. HIGHKY RECOMMEND the method daily shower cleaner.

You can also get a shower head with a filter to help with hard water build up in your shower and your hair.

I'm a custodian for a high school. ZEP is what we used to strip the wax off the floors so we could re wax. That stuff is the best out there.

ZEP OVEN CLEANER IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. I BOUGHT A SECOND HAND STOVE THAT HADNT BEEN CLEANED I N 6 YEARS. ZEP DID IT!!!😊😊

I mean you can clean without disinfecting (I'm sure you feel better doing so since you have OCD), but I agree with you that all natural products just don't cut it. My pet peeve is watching people clean their cutting boards with lemon and baking soda... Those DO need to be disinfected and deep cleaned, and lemon just does not achieve that goal. 😂

I was surprised about the window cleaner. I like Windex because it doesn’t splash foam everywhere.

I use that Method daily cleaner. After I shower, I run the squeegee across the walls and glass. Then I spray the Daily Shower cleaner on. It has been keeping my glass clear and the walls shiny. Even the chrome faucet handles look good.

Method works great but the green bottle is the best one

You cannot go wrong with Zep cleaners. Grout cleaner is amazing and the best. Have tried them all.

I just recently discovered the Zep products and I agree. They work so much better than a lot of cleaners I have tried. I like Sprayway as well.

I’d love to see your cleaning tips and tricks to clean and also how frequently it really is needed

The method daily shower spray is just supposed to keep the soap scum down. It’s not intended to be used as “cleaner” or scrubber. I use it every night after taking a shower - just spray it throughout your shower or tub - and I have noticed a huge difference in soap scum buildup. I clean my showers & tubs with scrubbing bubbles foam once every 2 weeks.

I used to use a spray (?) after I showered and it kept the scum residue down and left the shower cleaner, water just rolled off, it repelled it so no build up.

Make yourself familiar with the local janitorial supply. Find a good quality high PH detergent, 3M sponges and quality microfiber clothes. A pump bottle of Easy Off oven cleaner (caustic soda) for kitchen grease and muriatic acid for grout. The most important consideration PPE. Use heavy nitrile gloves and googles when using these chemicals.

I literally just bought that exact glass cleaner at Lowe's in a four pack that was on sale the other day..i love it!

😂😂😂😂 that last product reaction!! I cleaned for a few years and still SWEAR by that glass cleaner. It’s in a league of its own

Zep products are always a win for me. I must be under a rock I hadn't heard about the Fabuloso recall.

Zep makes great industrial cleaners. I would hope their household line would be top tier.

Nothing make those windows squeaky clean like white vinegar and water. I grew up with it in my house and it continues on with me. LOVE IT!!! and it's natural.

Just never wash the windows in direct sunlight. That’s what causes streaking.

Zep is amazing! They also sell a foaming porcelain cleaner it is freaking amazing

i use the shower spray while in my shower and it works amazing. it is a “daily” spray so if you’re planning to use it on a shower that hasn’t been cleaned in a while, totally agree it’s not worth it but that would be user error imo

also had cleaning business for many many years only thing you missed is comet bathroom spray. I agree with almost everything you said. CLR for well water homes or high calcium water areas. Otherwise you nailed it!

She wasn't clear. Whether she referred to the brand entirely or that specific product, which can leave residue and ruin your floors, is unclear. Blurry on my end.

You can use white vinegar in a spray bottle with about little squirt of dish soap to clean most stuff: windows, counter top, table tops, floors, stove tops, tiled walls in the bathroom, bathroom sinks, etc.

I’m not a housekeeper but I can certainly attest to the yes items! Zep is high up there on my list!

Absolutely spot on with your choices. I use pine Sol like it is going out of style and apparently, I am not alone because Lowe's had it on backorder for a good minute in my area. I didn't know Fabuloso had a recall, but I don't use it because I need a germ killer/cleaner. ZEP is awesome stuff.

I thought I was the only one who loves pine sol. It was a little hard to find for the minute there. It’s so powerful and I like the clean smell oddly enough. And it kills germs!

ZEP is the only mold and mildew product that I have ever used that worked in my shower. I found it at the Dollar Tree for 3.00.

I'm sold on Zep product's. The foaming glass cleaner is safe for tinted windows so that's what I use. The Zep acidic toilet bowl cleaner will dissolve years of calcium and lime scale.

Girl I am old enough to be your hot grandma. Agree on all of it. I want to add SOS pads, Comet and Easy Off extra strength for stubborn oven cleaning. I tried the daddy scrubbers and garbage. Sorry

maybe she meant the daily shower specifically, I too found that doesn't do anything. Wet and Forget is AWESOME for that. I agree tho, METHOD's multipurpose is awesome and an awesome degreaser. Move over Simple Green.

Yeah I like it too. The one she mentioned specifically, I use it to spray the tub down in between showers. It works for me. I will be trying the zep though for actual cleaning days

Zep products are great but make sure to check ingredients. They duplicate some of their formulations. For example, their calcium, lime and rust cleaner is the same as their grout cleaner just diff package and half the price.

I agree whole heartedly with your opinions on cleaners. I cleaned houses for over 25 years so yea you’re right on. What would you suggest for wood floors? I have a pretty good solution but wanted to get your opinion!!

The method shower cleaner actually works really well for me. You have to use it as directed and use it every day. Just spray it after EVERY shower. And when you clean shower there won’t be about of build up.

So what can I use on wood floors?? HELP ME PLEASE

Try remember this, you're not cleaning wood, you're cleaning the finish on the wood. Usually polyurethane.

I use a little Murphys wood soap. You don't need much with water. Make sure you don't leave allot of water on the floor. Just enough to get the dirt...

I LOVE method… no testing on animals WHATSOEVER, unlike all those other brands, it cleans amazingly well, safer, not over priced and smells good.

The Method Daily Shower Spray is actually a YES for me. It does work! But it's a daily spray, so you use it daily after your shower to prevent build up. It makes it super easy to wipe glass clean on cleaning day. But its not gonna remove build up that's already there.

I'm a professional housecleaner for 36 years, I consult installers and manufacturers....they recommend small amount of Dawn in cold water, dry immediately with a dry mop or dry towels to shine😊 edit: this method is safe for all floor surfaces. 😀

Use a wood cleaner if it’s for real wood don’t use fab or pino you will destroy your floors

You can also us white vinegar on real wood but make sure your mop or what ever us squeezed out to the max. I got that tip from some cleaners when I had my 1950s real wood floors redone.

Yes to clorox spray and pine sol! You DO know your stuff! Totally agree about Method, it's glorified water.

I personally would not use Murphy oil soap. We had an installer tell us ammonia free glass cleaner

I agree! I love the after shower stuff. It doesn't replace regular shower cleaner but it does help with the hard water deposits and soap scum in my shower.
