She was asked how she felt about being compared to Mariah on an interview I watched & Ari stated “what’s wrong with being compared to what she thought was the greatest singer ever” she looked up to her like many have. If you want to react to Mariah, you need to take into consideration that Mariahs music are more 90s/00s vibes than 2010 Pop Music because she is R&B and thats when R&B became popular as well. Think music from Whitney, 00s Beyonce, Ne-Yo. I would suggest listening to her most recent album first Caution (2018) to get the vibes of recent Mariah first and it also has the vibe of 00s R&B so its a good start (Also it is critically acclaimed but very underrated). You can then jump to her biggest acclaimed albums either: Daydream (1995) Butterfly (1997) The Emancipation of Mimi (2005)

You could try listening to her live performances of Mariah's songs suggested by others instead, I couldn't connect to her songs before too but I remember being blown away by her hero performance in '95 MSG. Since then I slowly got used to her style and have been listening to Mariah everyday for the past few years now, much more than artists I used to listen to and connect with before I discovered Mariah (Taylor, Ari, Beyonce, Katy, Rihanna..) 😂 Honestly after listening to her live performances in the 90s I get why people praise Mariah so much! No one can sing like her.

To me every new whistle is Mariah. The harmony on the main line. She became the one doing some of the falsettto chorus “ say that shit with your chest” new verse with her vocals deeper thicker chest to bring dynamics to the song. The outro had all new mc vocals. That intro and outro did it for me

I loved the remix and I love Mariah's more mature and serious voice... I was disappointed with some people criticizing her, the change in voice is something natural, the only thing I think could have been better is the audio, It seems like it fluctuates a lot .

I did not like the original track. With Mariah on vocals, it does feel overall fuller in sound. A bit more dynamic and intriguing. Still not keen on the track, as the music element is poor, but it is an improvement.

If you listen to the last 45 seconds, both are whistling back and forth insane. And they harmonised in the intro. I didn't like Mariah's verse. You are one of the best reactors here.

This sounds like ai especially with headphones. & mariah’s whistle notes needed to be better tamed with an equalizer because they left the resonant frequencies from buildups. The last chorus & the bridge were fine. But overall messy. Tho I respect what you think!

They sing great individually but together at the same time is a train wreck.

It was a mess honestly, Mariah obvi has the voice but she exaggerated and tried to put her voice all over the song so it made it sound bad, also mariahs verse was so basic.
