Freedom of speech, democracy and equal opportunities as opposed to calling someone a racist in the absence of evidence because they have a different world view. I don’t know Yasmin personally. I could be wrong about her and I’m sure she has many redeeming qualities however she didn’t conduct herself very graciously in this debate as far as I could tell. As for my values. They do align with fundamental British values for the most part. I was born and raised here so they’ve inevitably helped form me as a person. Our country has many flaws but freedom of speech, equal opportunities and democracy are not amongst them so I guess you’re right. My values and British values are similar in that sense. I also have a great respect for elements Taoism, Buddhism and other Far Eastern culture. Yasmin strikes me as an identity junky. Someone eager to judge someone by their skin colour and gender instead of individual merit. I don’t like that in the slightest. I hope I haven’t offended you.
