I'm Scottish, born and raised in Edinburgh and still living in Edinburgh. There is a massive suicide problem in Scotland, I've had 2 friends who committed suicide, in their 20s. That woman should never be allowed back on tv or any other platform where she can spew her man hating poison. I support Lawrence Fox 100%, that man should've never lost his job at GB NEWS. As I said, it should be her who never works on any media outlet again. Good luck Lawrence and keep your chin up mate. He wasn't fired for his "opinion". He was fired for saying "who would want to shag that??" "Shag" is vulgar UK slang and calling any person "that" is aggressive and vile. He apologized. I don't think he should have been fired (maybe given a last warning but who knows: maybe he'd already had one?) and I think Ava Evans is shocking but I also think we should stick to FACTS. He's a grown man and he should be able to express strong views about someone without being vulgar. I don't know if he was intoxicated at the time (I read a rumour) but that's no excuse either. He comes from a very rich family and I have known rich people to take their jobs for granted. People with poorer backgrounds tend to be a LOT less cavalier about their employment and about job rules.

The hypocrisy surrounding this whole thing is unbelievable. If a man stood up and dismissed female suicides with the ease that Ms Evans did they’d have been called out and rightly so. Amazing how she was allowed to be completely dismissive and hostile to the male guest trying to share the documented suicide rates and yet somehow she’s a victim. As a woman and a mother of male children I found her attitude offensive and sickening and I hope she never has to experience the loss and anguish of a male friend or relative who committed suicide.

Megyn, my husband has thought of unaliving 3 times in his life. Twice in the past year , he was hospitalized for week this year and hospitalized a month in his 30’s. The ER psychiatrist said my husband was very brave to reach out for help . He said my husband in his age group over 50 don’t reach out for help they just unalive themselves. I am very very very passionate about men’s mental help. My son is Autistic and suffers severe anxiety. My husband has ADHD and severe anxiety. Now he has proper treatment thankfully. I am so so glad to still have my husband and son. That woman is trash.

I live in England and heard that Ava woman a number of times...she is an odd and abhorrent individual.

Thank you for doing this interview, Wishing Laurance all the best, I love his opinions and totally support him, that woman brings shame on normal women.

I think that woman thought women would side with her but she is completely wrong, I’m a mother and grandmother of boys, the growing male suicide numbers worry me, it should be looked into. Yes it was wrong that Laurence said what he said, unfortunately it became about those words instead of the plight of struggling young men. Laurence Fox, you need to find a way to carry on, you are so much better than this, thanks Megan for giving him a voice.

There is nothing wrong with what Fox said. He expressed what he felt, just as Evans has done multiple times. Thanks, Laurence, for dishing it out as Evans has repeatedly.

I was on the brink of suicide five years ago at 48 and as a man, that woman is what we call in the UK ,a Grumble ….work it out …she’s got no idea what blokes go through whatsoever .I’ve got a good friend that’s helped me a lot in the past few months to get my head around things better than any counselling has ever done in the last twenty odd years of suffering from depression and anxiety disorder .she has worked things out that has never been worked out by so called experts .she suffers from the same problems as me and knows how the thing works when your mind plays tricks on you.she could be a great councillor but has never had the chance to do it properly …that is a real woman ,she realises that men don’t talk about their problems because of the way we are ..but she got me talking and it’s helped me a lot .good on you Meghan for having a decent bloke on here ..and thanks to you for not being one of those Feminazi’s that have absolutely no love for men at all …full of hatred and loathing for the male species ..real feminists did not hate men like these lot today do ..

I totally suport Lawrence 100percent.

I sincerely hope that Lawrence will rise above, and come through this episode. He is obviously a man of integrity. Our emotions ( especially when we neglect the deeper issues feeding them), will rear their head and get the better of us. Only most of us (luckily), aren't being heard and viewed on Media platforms when, this happens. I wish him all the best. 🙏

Advise your sons: Don't bother with a girl till she approaches you. If they're drunk, turn your back on them and cease contact. You might get lonely waiting for the right girl but you'll be a hell of a lot safer & avoid 'morning after regret' accusations of doing anything wrong not because they did but coz she regrets her own actions the next day/week/month/decade. Depressingly crap state of affairs but the double standards and moving goal posts of many ( far from all mind and mostly the younger generation) girls/ women kinda require blokes to take a self preservation approach nowadays - That said they shouldn't become incels!!

Yes, so welcome. Thank you, Megyn. That woman and the other one on the panel just deflected the concern about men into the victim narrative about women. We all know that she is an open misandrist, and the narrative allows that without any of the comeback on misogyny.

Seriously what is wrong with that woman, she and her attitude is the problem. I’m a woman with 3 sons, and she’s frightening. I completely understand how Lawrence lost it and support him 100%. Thank you Megyn for highlighting this.

I am very sympathetic point of view. The hypocrisy of Ava Santino Evans is sickening. I am so sorry to see him kicked out of GB news. I saw his rage, almost to the point of tears.

As someone who lost my brother to suicide, it was the most horrendous thing that happened in my and my families life ! l totally get what Lawrence is saying . What this Eva Evans was saying was undermining what men go through . She just thinks it's women who struggle in life , but men struggle in just the same .

Am so sorry for your loss. I too recently lost someone close to me to suicide. I think there needs to be much more support for men in particular who are at risk. This whole Fox thing in a weird way has made me think about it again. Oh and it's mental health awareness day today . So I pray that you and others having to live with this get the love and support you need.

I lost my dad to suicide and my grandfather, so to hear what Eva Evens was saying was awful. I can totally understand why Laurence was so angry. Eva Evans doesn't know what she's talking about. Laurence should be given his job back and the same with Dan Wooton too.

Laurence Fox is absolutely correct in everything he said. This absurd man bashing has to stop and these hateful women who say horrible things and then like to play the victim need to be called out. Thank you Megan for allowing Laurence to speak and supporting men.

Well done Megyn, this context was necessary in this gastly affair. Ava was totally dismissive of mens mental health and yet none of that played out in the hit job on fox. GB news is toast.

I know of two women who committed suicide. I didn’t know them personally but they were friends of friends. But I know of eleven men who have killed themselves. My son’s colleague, a friend’s colleague and my friends’ relatives/friends. Men need support! Stay strong, Lawrence.

Who the hell IS THAT WOMAN??? I am SHOCKED! UTTERLY SHOCKED!!!!

Thank you Lawrence & Megyn for speaking up and challenging this narrative, as a former Royal Marine and Security Manager in Iraq, I have had to deal with four attempted suicides by men, two that succeeded due to their mental health challenges. The two that did succeed did not speak up or announce that there was any kind of an issue going on, and the third had a lucky escape when the belt snapped. I wonder how much more could have been done with a wider, more specific profile that supports these challenges, rather than a reliance on men coming forward, or a crutch on charities.
