Its more for your own good then anyone elses. If Israel continue to do this its gonna be just matter of time when entire Arab world rises up in the name of Jihad. Trust me i study history the stars have alined again and temperature is extremely high, USA acts to be strong, they are not anymore, they will not be able to protect you without extremely high loss of life on every side.

Aren’t Native American Reservations in the USA a form of Apartheid?

  • @nathanielibrahim3492

    @nathanielibrahim3492

    3 жыл бұрын

Reservations are really what Native Americans prefer, I think, at least the ones who live on them. Reservations exist today because some people want to be separate from the American system, independent governance, police, etc, not because they are forced to. Now, the way that reservations are disadvantaged in our current system is something similar to apartheid, and the way that reservations were created were through violent separation of people from their land. I think most early Americans were not trying to create apartheid, but to take the land from Native Americans and either forcibly integrate them(a form of cultural genocide) or kill them (more absolute genocide). I think if the Israelis were to give the people of Gaza Strip freedom to leave and import and export, and have a semi-independent government over Gaza, but under the Israeli system which they have full rights to participate in, that would be similar to what the Americans did, and something distinct from what they have now.

in recent years, things seem to change. there are young native women (of course supported by men but the women invest the most energy) with a huge initiative to improve lives and to research and reestablish as much as possible of the traditional cultures, but not meant as separatism. but they want to make their reservations really into their own space. originally, there were motives of apartheid.

Should have left it at: We shouldn't compare sufferings. One of the things fueling Anti-Semitism is the idea that Semites have suffered the most above all others. This isn't true. But if we are ranking: Anti-Semitism is in no way a "cut above" the treatment of Africans during colonialism and the rampant slave trade (post-treatment included) and certainly not the calculated genocide of the Native Americans. Africans could never and haven't assimilated and been folded into Western Whiteness as Jewish people seemingly have. And to say that a two-state solution isn't possible now is a bit daft considering that Israel was never interested in that solution in the first place. For a reason, I can not divine, Israel has implicitly chosen genocide, apartheid and are under the same spell of power and the undying need to project that power onto others as the Nazis themselves.

Sir, I understand and like your talk on Israel. Many of your comments are sensible and meaningful, however you clearly did not do enough research. I strongly suggest you go to Haifa and study the population dynamics as Jews, Muslims, Baha'i, Zoroastrians, Christians and a few others have lived in close harmony for decades. In my opinion no country should use religion as a criterion for citizenship or opportunity including, perhaps especially, Israel. Yet I was there some years ago and I met the head of the cardiology department at one of Israel's largest and best hospitals, the Herzliya Medical Center. That doctor, not only highly respected but truly loved by the entire staff, was a Palastinian Muslim. I don't know how many Palistinian Israelis are members of the Knesset today but when I was a resident there were eleven. There are more comments I would like to make but there is not sufficient space here. Best regards, David Silverman, Antalya, Turkey

Very good points made. A historical view of the role Jewish people have played in the financialist sector is complicated, or so I think, by anti-Semiticism. Criticism of the role of Jewish actors vis-a-vis the political realm is also hampered by anti-racist bias, paradoxical as that seems. The Spanish philosopher Ortega y Gasset said that race may have some consistency as reality and a subject for scientific study [this has proved difficult], but racism and anti-racism are topics of journalism and politics. Ortega criticized Arnold Toynbee's rabid anti-racism [labeling everyone racist as it were] in 'An Interpretation of Universal History.' Despite the difficulties, Historical Reason or the dialectic of avoiding the mis-takings of the past for the future, is the methodology by which to understand people and events co-existing in happenstance, circumstance, society, and external reality of nature and the world of man, including both essential [Cartesian idealism] reality and existential reality, the world of things, or so I think.

The loss of life through colonization in the Americas is more than WW1 and WW2 totals combined. White settlers were monetarily compensated for murdering natives (*all of them, on an industrial scale*). That process is now being repeated in Palestine (not to mention being continued in the US today), even if its tactics differ. There is nothing unique about whatever stamp collector mentality is being addressed (although I'm sure you can find other metaphors which do justice to the specific configurations of the holocaust, no doubt; the stamp collector metaphor is a particularly bad one though, with indigenous american faces routinely being a candidate for a literal postal stamp in the contemporary US). I think your disavowal of the hierarchy of suffering at the start betrays actually how much your argument really needs this hierarchy; I urge you (and I mean this as someone who obviously supports your work) to consider why this hierarchy persists in this conversation.

The hierarchy of genocides must be disavowed as Yanis points out, precisely because it places the importance and resolution of one above another. In the worst circumstances one can even be exploited to perpetrate another. It must be identified and stopped wherever it might happen. The common roots and effects of genocide must be evidenced wherever it occurs, be it colonialism, hatred, greed, etc. This does not mean they are equivocated but nevertheless equally opposed.

It has already happened in the US. The USA was built on genocide and slavery. Please understand Yanis is using the term "Apartheid" correctly, it means subjugation and racial segregation of a majority by a minority, the Afrikaan use the term "Baasskap" (literally: "boss-hood" or "white supremacy"). Other forms of racial segregation can be just as abominable, perhaps worse, but might not be formally "apartheid". It is important politically and psychologically to treat regimes practising apartheid distinctly with the unique stigma associated.

Yanis, you are one of my heroes. Now that I’ve dispensed with the adoration, please hear my request that you consider global anti-blackness on par with anti-semitism. A good discussion could be had between you and Irami Osei-Frimpong on the subject of American anti-blackness in particular.... I’m a somewhat studied Jew, and I see you’re echoing our beloved Zizek’s 100% correct assessment of anti-antisemitism in relation to Israel. But have you considered the view of our late comrade Moishe Postone, who posited that anti-Semitic racism is always figuring the Jews as monolithically all-powerful, demonic world-controllers? This type of racism is so far from the anti-black and anti-POC racism; which figures Africans and Easterners as subhuman in most categories, as to make comparisons between anti-semitism and anti-blackness for the most part unhelpful. Postpone illuminates how anti-semitism functions through the ages to explain otherwise obscured events, processes and the effects of power systems, giving a simple and ignorant narrative to the products of complexity and ideology. I believe your and Zizek’s assessment that the Israeli state’s discriminatory Judeo-supremacist policies and reactionary militant Zionism broadly pose a threat to world Jewry equal to that of rabid anti-Semites that are once again gaining political power. Thank you for your work.

In my experience, Europeans did not experience Jim Crow in the same way as Americans and thus have a different historical memory and "feel" for this. I have noticed that among the European left, for example, anti-Blackness is always taken as being below that of anti-Semitism in terms of significance. Europe is the heartland of anti-Semitism; it's not an accident that the Holocaust took place in European territory. America had and has anti-Semitism, but it is not at the same rates nor virulence as it was in Europe. I say that knowing full well that the US turned away Jewish refugees during WWII. I'm talking about both degree and virulence. But Jim Crow was not apartheid, simply because apartheid is about a minority ruling over a majority, and that wasn't the case in the U.S. It is the case in Israel and was in South Africa.

I agree with every word of this. I would just add that another unique aspect of the racism and prejudice against Jews is its longevity. I would say it is the longest standing prejudice and persecution in human history, lasting well over 2000 years. (Remember, the Romans also persecuted Jews even before Christianity solidified it as a cornerstone of its belief system.. And then there'd be the slavery in Babylon and possibly Egypt.) There are other very long instances--the English against the Irish (500-1000 years); American Black people (400 years) and others I do not know. But against the Jews, the persecution has been relentless and brutal for the longest period of time. And still that does not cancel the suffering of the Palestinians in the modern Jewish state..

There are countless examples of peoples who have been accorded second, third or worse-class status in their home country, let alone another country. Take the caste system in India as only one crystal clear historical (and unfortunately, still contemporary) example. After the passing of the CAA and other laws, Indian law now also legally discriminates its Muslim population. Similar things could be said to apply to the Saharwi in West Saharan Morocco, Uyghurs in China, Kashmiris in India, etc., etc., etc. We might also point out that, before the rarely remembered 'Jewish Nakhbah' in which almost 1 million people fled Arab pogroms (more than Palestinian refugees of 1948) - the Jewish and Christian "dhimmi" status in Arab countries also was a systematic form of subjugation and oppression. (Incidentally, this is one reason why even staunchly left Jews like myself have no realistic reason not to be wary of a one-state solution in which there is an Arab majority: there are few, if any, examples of Islamic regimes in modern history which live up to modern standards for minority rights.) These are all 'de jure' forms of systematic discrimination, or 'apartheid' if you will. But think of the reality of the countless other harsh forms of 'de facto' racism/apartheid today! Take the state of Christian Copts (let alone the handful of Jews left) in Egypt today. Take non-South Afriicans in South Africa, Blacks in the USA or indeed, of Roma in Europe. Do we call it apartheid? The architecture, the bureaucracy, the culture and harm of the oppression is systematic. The same can be said of indigenous around the world, or even such peoples as Carelians in post-war Finland. Why single out Israel? That is the reason the accusation of anti-semitism can, with some considerable justification, be made against those using such terms (and similar forms of accusations) exclusively for Israel. Criticism of Israel is justified, absolutely! But singling it out as an exceptional, "unique" criminal state is not. Singling out one person or state amongst all the others for crimes that many others commit equally or worse (in the case of Uyghurs, East Timurians or West Saharans, etc.) is a form of racism, however unintentional. I would be glad to hear your response.

Varoufakis said that "apartheid is to use architecture, town planning, educational policy, the army, the police, the universities, every vastige of power and state authrority in order to create bantustans, in which you put a population which you use as day labourers' you deny them allrights' you deny then anything except aquasi-autonomy the purpose of which is so that you don't have to deal with them".. Varoufakis mantioned many important things but he didn't mantion the most particular and important one, the reoson of that "so called" aparteid regime that is taking place in the occupied teritories, (and not in the official israel there palestinians have full rights as equal citizens) is caused by ongoing refusals of the palestinian leadership to copromise on a peace based on two states solutions. The palestiniens were offered many generous offers including east Jerusalem and more ( in 2001 - Camp David with Barak, 2009 with Ulmert and 1994 with Rabin) but they repeatetly choose terror as their only path in which make it impossible to Israel to leave the occupied territories (as Israel's forces actually did in Gaza and 2 years later Hamas took control over the area and started shooting rockets on Israeli civillians. ) I mean, israel did build sattlments in the palestine that created that so called aparteid, but the shrunk of the palestinians into enclaves that may Beselem said the speaker that they might remind bantustans is much diffrent. those so called bantustans were formed as a mid - move forward peace agreement in OSLO - accords in 1994. buy unsuprisengly the Palestinians refused to continue the nagosiations and choose terror as they killid handreds of Israelis. I think that is unjust to blame only Israel, even though Beselem said that is all Israel faults, and relying just on data of Beselem is suspected (Beselem is a very radical organisation that biases everything in order to make things suitable to its positions). Just in general? What else from antisemitisem and incorrect knowledge can bring people to think that Israel ,(the only moderate and liberal country in the middle east that allows full LGBTQ+ rights and uses as a full democracy by international rankings) is giulty in the conflict. the Palestinians are controlled and do support a terrorist leadership that funds terror and supports murdering gays ,chauvinism and mudering a woman if she is not enough modest by their standars. but NO, its only the jewish state fault without any mantioning of antisemitism.

Anti-Semitism has two large flaws. First, it should be "Anti-Jewish" in like 99% of the context it's ever used, lest a slander against a Jewish person suddenly also become anti-Muslim. Second, the circumference of ideas or activities which fall under the definition of the term are too wide ranging. Atheism is a powerful idea which has somewhat remained a respected stance in let's say America because people are free to believe what they choose. An atheist through some fashion or form may choose a stance of asserting the lack of belief in anything God-related, which by default would be in conflict with other religious assertions. How is it that an entire group of atheists who deny the validity of Christian divinity can get away with that belief when the entire religion itself is a Jewish creation? They need only word it differently by including that one particular group of people, and then it becomes open season for putting that label under any context, whether it be religious or cultural or ethnic.. bam, suddenly it's racist or bigoted. The more a system is manipulated to frame other people who have criticism as racist bigots, the easier it becomes for them to automatically be aligned as enemies.

Why DIEM 25, FAILED TO ACHIEVE ITS STRATEGICS OBJECTIVES, AND WHAT SHALL BE DONE, TO FIX THE PROBLEMS. In this doc, I intent to present grave mistakes, that undermined the DIEM to achieve, its objectives. Until then, you shall consider; Instead DIEM 25, applied, the science and given principles, that could help it , to achieve its goals, it had ignored or violated them . For example , stimulus that the org, used to create, tended to trigger given mental short cut, that , produce an opposite effect, in target's brain. But that is not all, because in terms of strategy, the org leaders, commited also, major errors, that stoped the project, to growth fast in less than 7 months, after it was launched. Before, I can give more details about the issue, I will invite you to analysis two situations 1) In the first one, you shall admmit, that I Alberto Rodrigues, will announce, I intend to organise an event designed, to teach small companies how to partenership in their communities, so that they can increase sales , reduce costs and obtain high profit. Suppose that, I will organise the event in different European countries, with an organisation , that is not linked to politics. Did you see the beneficial picture? In such a conjunture, small Business owners, from all political spectrum, will be excited to take part in the event. In addition, they will be interested to become members of a community, so that they can learn all the necessary details, that will help them to increase sales. In addition, due to the project importance, it shall be financed, with priority by the European Union. That means, to obtain EU funds in different cities , regions and Nation, with the same project. 2) In the other example I, will organise the same event, under a political organisation collaboration Can you antecipated the kamikaze mistake and tough negative consequences that might come about? In such a conjunture, I will have zero chance, to obtain resources from the European Union. Furthermore, instead the event help me to build communities, I may obtain an opposite effect. How that may occur? The ones, who do not share the same political views, as the party involved in the project, shall generate a destructive feed back about the event, spread lies to scare people and stop them to partecipate in the respective event. Because of the above reffered inconveniences, and other barriers, that a new political org , may face, professionals in political marketing , and neuroscience, recommend, a precisly strategy that political organisations must adopt, several months before, they can announce their political plan For the DIEMS 25 case, the leaders supposed to create communities, as I am about to explain below. The good news, is that, during the procedure the org should generate dozens millions of euros through more than 7 different ways. One of them is related to the following facts. KZread artificial intelligence programme, was created according to a precisly algorithm Subsequently, if you are able to adopt your strategy , according to how the AI programme , was programmed to work, after you publish a content, it will show it, immediately, for dozens millions of KZread's active target. That means, in just few hours, an insight shall be reached by millions of viewers and start to generate in the same time revenues. Instead, if you ignore the principles that You Tube artificial intelligence tool was programmed to work, it will refuse to promote your contents. This is one of the reasons why DIEM insights does not generate neither enough viewers, nor interaction. Because, of that, the first strategy, to consider, while building a mouvment from the scratch, is to seduce the You Tube , artificial intelligence programme. Like that, you can build an influencial data base, with more than 70 millions members, before the org, shall announce, its political plan In another words, in the first step, several months before the DIEM 25 should start to act as a political organisation, it supposed to benefit from the KZread artificial intelligence programme and obtain more than 70 millions You Tube, subscribers in less than 7 months. The good news, is that , during the procedure, as I already said, the organisation, should had obtained dozens millions euros as revenues at least from 7 differents modalities. In the next step, the DIEM 25 supposed to think like that In the world we are in, we can be shut down anytime. Therefore, we have to create an alternative to continue to generate dozens millions euro , and communicate efficient, with our 70 millions subscribers, even if big tech may shut us down. In such a purpose, the organization supposed to build power 5 communities , in different European Nations, and start to work and interact with them, in the real live. Doing so , the organisation should obtain a capacity to influence sales, and politics , even before people should know, that the communities would get involved in politics. As you can observe, the strategy I am underlining, recommend to build power 5 communities, with more than 70 millions active and influencial members, generate dozens millions of euros, before the organisations, shall declare its political plan. Any experienced political marketer or neuroscientist, know the following reality. Before, people's brain, shall detect political stimulus an organization need first to create communities, formed by dozens millions of people. During the procedure, stimulus must be created with the following purpose. 1) Activate, precisly mental short cut 2) Create a given brain biochemistry, that will determine the audience, to want more and more information about, given issues 3) Create a given perception of value, for certain advantages, that both the members and their loved ones shall benefit from the project. Like that, in a moment when , the organisation, will trigger the mental short cut "fear of losing", the members, will feel a desperate need, to take the respective action that the organisation will require. Advocate, fundraise, donate, vote and convince others to do so. Until then the rules are strict The organisation, have first to undertake what is required so that it can install given mental short cut, and creat a relative huge perception of value, for the benefits ,the members receive. Until the organisation, does not conclude that, it is not allowed to declare its political scope. If it does so, it will undermine its chance to succeed. This is why, the DIEM 25 did not achieve the above reffered objectives, in less than 7 months, and neither after 5 years. Due to the situation gravity, I will come back to present details about what the DIEM 25 , shall start to carry on, reverse the situation and achieve its strategics scopes

Isn't the terminologie of Anti-Semitism already questionable? What does Anti-Semitism hate? Unlike other forms of exclusion, this notion doesn't target a group of people with a specific characteristic. Here Stands a vague "Semitism" as target, which can be "filled up" according to the relevance or taste of the hater. And as the hater defines his/her target, he/she defines "the semitic object of hate", in other words - who is a jew (like the Nazis did with the 3. generation rule for ex.), and that, regardless of the persons self-definition. This aspect is maybe the fiercest, as it imperceptibly embeds itself in the collective mind and thinking, as an indisputable fact, as a natural truth. Hence we legitimate the haters authority in determining the groups and prescribing reality. I Believe that accepting this terminology, without looking at the bottom of its meaning and dismantling it, crystalizes this reality. This ignored question stands, to my opinion, at the core of the israeli State's problem and its policy.
