So subtle. So within your own experience. I have learnt this form of Yang for 16 years and used it to teach retired people. For 6 years I have been Learning Chen Man Ching through Master Huang.Lineage here in Auckland. New Zealand. Extreme martial art and very detailed application. Every single posture can be used as a martial technique with devastating consequences. Master Huang came to New Zealand as did master Ma as a guest of Patrick Kelly who is now and international seminar provider currently in China. They train with deep mind. At 6 years I am in an advanced class and it's tough. But the presence I feel after a two hour session is amazing. Thank you Nancy for encouraging me with your beautiful softness which I intend to show to my retirement classes.

Thanks for the video... I learned the 108 movements but sometimes I forget the order and movements so this is really helpful. My sifu was a student of Yang Zhenduo.... I'm trying to get back into this so thanks again :)

Very Nice. Studies with Yang Zen Do and Yang Jun reviewed ,corrected Long Form, Sword and Sabre, over 3 workshops beginning in 1995. Nancy represents Perfect Yang Style, Now I am limted to 10 min at a time due to inoerable ROtator Cuff Tears

I like the fact that you perform it so beautifully without the extreme leg and arm stretches and lowering if the body that many of the younger KZread video instructors tend to demonstrate.

I'm never worrying about my form again. every person I watch is doing yang form completely differently. there are as many ways to do tai chi as there are people doing it. I'm letting my own chi guide me from now on.

She's not just letting her chi guide her. She studied under Yang Jun the current Yang family lineage holder. You should be doing the form the way your teacher taught you and not just make stuff up without proper understanding.

Excellent performance...Nancy moves like Master Yang Jun. I have a question for Nancy if she monitors this page. This is not criticism I just want to know why does the yang family make a short pause after many techniques in the form? Is it to emphasize fa jing?

  • @fuzzydogg1

Hi Kenpogodan, Thank you for your kind words. To answer your question (an inquiry not criticism) - The Yang Family wants us to show end postures for each movement, hence, the slight pause between each. Think of an ocean wave that comes into the shore and then goes back to become part of the ocean again or when you take a deep, cleansing breath and ever so slightly, before you exhale there is a slight pause. I hope this explains - if not, let me know. Thanks again, Kenpogodan! -Nancy

Nancy Lucero Thank you Nancy for your response...Yes your explanation makes sense to me...Makes me think of a Wu Wei state where the pause represents an effortless connection between the ebb and flow of the form.. Nice

Hello Nancy, Is there a list of the 108 moves? I used to have it and make a story (the flying man tore his cape so he went to the seamstress who sewed four pockets) just to remember all the moves. I lost it for a while now. Would help if you or anyone can give me the names of the moves. Thanks!
