It would be sweet to see which you thought was better. The CRF 250 RX 2020 ,or the newer YZ250FX 2020

Had a 2003 ktm 200exc and my best time on my practice loop was 9mjn24 second. Replaced it with a bone stock 2005 yz250f, no handguards, Mx suspension, no clicker adjustments, brand new and beat my best time. I became a 4 stroke believer many moons ago in back in the woods of South Carolina on my practice track circa 2005.

How does the yz250fx compare to the beta 350rr race edition?

I ride a CRF450R now ,and stock it was tuff it ride in the woods. I did add a flywheel weight, and had it revalved , and that helped a lot.

I've got a 2015 250fx. I love it. I'm not saying it is better than the CRF but I will never go beck to kicking, and no kickstand. I've got 150 trouble free hours on mine to date. Love your videos!

dont quote me on it but i think the 250fx lost the kickstart add on option for 2020. it updated to the current yz250f engine. that sucks because id definitely want that kickstart backup in case the battery died or something

Did you play with the map switch, if the Yamaha has, I know it is programmable with phone app? As soon as my 16' Beta 300 RR sells I am going for the Beta 390 or 430 race edition and put the street lights on.

@@coloradosupermoto8046 Thanks I was wondering because I have thought of the 250 FX and 450FX as my next bike. I like the suspension but now the Beta race edition has the KYB's and I am very impressed with my Beta's reliability I am moving toward the 390 race edition.

@@GladiusJon Good to know. I'm gonna sell one of my 450's (YZF/CRF), and pick up a smoother and lighter woods bike that can still do an occasional mx track. I had narrowed it down to the YZ250FX and the KTM 250 XCF.

Virtual tie... both very capable. Over a 2 hr race though, I am sure the e start on the Yamaha and easier power delivery would win the day. Have the Honda 'a suspension set up for woods though......the new 2020 fx looks like a large step up on the older bikes though.....fun stuff though to contemplate . We all just need to win the lottery...lol

A comparison to the HONDA CRF250RX would be great. If you put Race Tech gold valves in and re-valve it will make your Honda so much better. Showa suspension is fantastic.

@@GladiusJon I have done several bike. A YZ250F, CRF450R, and an RM250. I did both front and back including spring recommendations. The suspension was so much improved for offroad on all, and another wonderful result is completely learning how to service/modify forks and shocks. I have no affiliation with Race Tech, just an enduro/harescramble guy who learned that proper suspension is so important to how good a bike can be.

Brandon Bates Do you think it’s worth selling the R and getting an Rx for the new engine / electric start? I’m in a position that I can, and the original plan was to sell the R and get the Beta 390.

@@GladiusJon Im a guy who was dead set on a Beta 390 until I rode it. I really loved the engine, but it wore me out quick in NJ singletrack. If you like your Honda I'd go for the RX, but the Yamaha is tough to beat with 2020s being more narrow, lighter, and the power tuner built in. Im actually picking one up very soon.
