That is one of the nicest XS chops I've ever seen!
Groovy background music... and I like those seats... Cool bike... I love those old kick start engines....
You have inspired me to make my "Special" special , but your bike should win a prize
You've done incredible work, incredible workmanship. Beautiful bike. I owned 2 650's. A 72 and an 80. Always regretted selling them.
This is the cleanest-looking Yamaha XS 650 chopper that I have ever seen -- bar none! That bike runs great! I like the idea of parts being made in the USA! Thanks a lot for this informative and cool video. Ride safe!

@@rawhidecycles You're welcome, Brandon. You guys have it going on!
Sweet sound ❤
Great bike. Just some advice from a fan: keep the background music lower. It tends to drown out the reason we’re watching in the first place.

Noted! Thanks!
BEAUTIFUL BIKE!!!
Good looking XS650! Nice sounding too!
That engine sounds smooth. Good on yah! I'll book your link. Thanks!
It’s a pretty smooth ride, I got one just like it. Please make more videos on this bike if there’s ever a chance you get✊🏼
That build is amazing.

Thanks Skip!
Had a xs 650 never got damm thing to run right spent loads on it got rid eventually. My mate took it to sell on, still has it! Now have a 78 Honda 550 chop project hope that goes better! I am in Scotland (far north)
Sick chop
That's one crazy/cool little chop . Those 'cock-tail--shakers' are the longest I've ever seen . I have a nice 'clean' 73' tx650 cafe-bike . Very strong motors when they are set-up right . Dave NZ

Thanks 👍
Sounds really nice pity needed some close up shots
Great product -- great bike! You ran a decent front brake too. I dig the axed H-D fatbob/teardrop style gas tank and the Anderson "jackhammer" bar grips! The fit and finish is top shelf! Keep up the great work!
Any chance you would be willing to do a detailed walkthrough video of this XS650?
I just picked up an xs for a build project! Mine has the stock mag wheels but I love the look of these spoked ones. What are the rims you’re riding? Thanks!
Hello, good morning friend, my name is José and I am thinking of acquiring a yamaha xs 650, could you tell me how good or bad those engines are? The motorcycle in question is from 1982, what oil do you recommend for the motorcycle and if you recommend them as something durable? Greetings from Magdalena Jalisco Mexico ...
Hi!, if i upgrade the points on my xs with the one you show, what else needs to be changed for this to work ?
Nice choppa..
Just picked one of these up should I order a rawhide ignition I thought about getting one for my Harley sporty chop

Hey Brandon, yes our H-D ignitions are very highly rated as well. Thanks!
Hey how much is this part and do you provide a n install sheet
Will this work with the XS charge PMA?
Do you need a battery or will it work with a PMA. system ?
@rawhidecycles
Жыл бұрын
A PMA system is a "permanent magnet alternator", the same as a stock Honda twin from the same era. Most of these bikes with that setup have a battery as far as I know. We have not tried these with a capacitor setup, no battery, but I believe they will work as they only draw 2.5 volts. Your coil will still need 6V or 12V depending on the era of bike. The 6V inclusion is for early Harley owners. Thanks!
Does it work with a rephrased motor?
What style tank is that?
What kind of rear wheel is that?
Mmm mmm mmm she's a beauty I really miss mine, on another note what do you recommend for 1970 ironhead 900 kick only

Hello Edmond, we make an electronic ignition for that bike as well and that is absolutely what we recommend.
Any chance this would work for a '79 XS750?

Yep!
Will this bike maintain today's highway speeds?
@rawhidecycles
Жыл бұрын
Yes, although a smaller rear sprocket would help a lot.
A bit too overpriced if you ask me, Lowbrow are selling the Rawhide single pickup setup for a staggering $289 but sell a Boyer micro power ignition system complete for $285, a no brainer really which one to choose.
@rawhidecycles

That $4 is really a deal breaker for a Made in USA ignition huh?
@OldBiker

@@rawhidecycles Perhaps you didn't understand, Rawhide pickup plate only $289, Boyer Micro system = Pickups, digital power box, coil, leads, plug caps and many other parts in the UK at a new price of $185.21, like I said, no brainer.
Worst cameraman ever
Yep come I know where it and hopefully not you are .because your not a Li!?
