Yamaha TW200 Foot Peg Install // Cheap & Easy // Product Review

Ойын-сауық

Hello Everyone! I hope you are enjoying the holiday season! I finally got around to upgrading the foot pegs on my Yamaha TW200, and I'm very happy with how they came out. The larger foot pegs feel way better while riding, they offer more grip & feel more comfortable. I picked mine up off amazon for cheap, but if you want to spend a bit more money check out the options on Procyle.us! With some basic tools, and a spare set of cotter pins you can easily do this modification to your bike in under an hour.
I have other "off-road" modifications on the way, so if you like this type of content and would like to see more please hit that like & subscribe button!
Thank You for watching and as always remember to ride safe!

Cool vid! A soon to be upgrade for me as well. Some wire cutters would work to shorten up the long tails on the cotter pin.

Wow that’s actually a great idea. I didn’t even think about that lol. Thanks for watching, and that suggestion, i’ll definitely keep that in mind next time I’m working with cotter pins! ⚙️😃

I also added a longer shift lever to accommodate wearing big boots.

That’s a good mod I should probably do. I wear size 12 boots and it can be a bit difficult shifting up sometimes.

Nice upgrade dude! The bigger/wider foot pegs are most definitely the way to go! Glad to see that your install went well and that this model pegs worked so good for you. [Different brands/types are hit-and-miss] You nailed a very important point.. Foot control/feel once on this style of peg.. Since they added material to both the front and back sides of the pegs, they closed up a bit of room between the front peg and shift lever.. It's okay if riding with shoes or most work boots [I tried w/ my Keen Springfield Industrials] But when riding with O'Neal Sierra IIs or Alpinestars Belize boots [sz 45 (11)] The toes just love to fumble around and sometimes mis-shift.. My lever had to be spun CW a tooth or 2 to get it up a little bit higher.. Much better for sitting/shifting Not so much for standing/shifting But for standing-riding in general, these things absolutely rock! [This style will also be a bit less aggressive as far as wear on the bottom of boots] Great video as always bro! And thanks for sharing! 😊👍 Sam -

Hey thanks for watching! I don’t have true riding boots like your O’Neal’s (hopefully I’ll pick up a pair soon). Riding with my work boots has been good, but I could use the extra protection! I’m sure riding boots are more clunky, so I’m curious how it will feel, especially with the new pegs!

Hey thanks for the comment & watching! Oh that’s cool I didn’t know they made it with screw in studs, but I’m glad to here they work well. Before I bought them I was a bit nervous that my foot wouldn’t fit, most of the time I wear my Chippewa work boots which are pretty big. But I put some miles on the bike with the new foot pegs, and they fit totally fine! I really want to get the ricochet skid plate, I think they sell it on procycle? I’m hoping to purchase one in the next week or so 😃

Wow! That seemed like it was really simple! Wish back when I had my big bike that it was that simple to swap the floor boards haha! Oh hey found a video by a youtuber that goes by Scruffy the Barbarian and he has those duffle bag material saddle bags of his tw200! Might be a little small for carrying some stuff though...

Hey thanks for the comment, yeah I could imagine it’s a pain in the ass on larger bikes. Also thank you for that youtubers name. I watched a video awhile ago about those bags & forgot the name of it! I’ll definitely check it out.

Most of my videos are not directly where I live, I live right on the outskirts of a city. But usually I like to ride up north, on backroads (less traffic). I visit my family who live in NYC, and definitely wouldn’t want to bring the bike & park it outside! Hahah like you said it would be gone so quickly. Thanks for watching 🤙🏼😃
