Installing a USB/volt meter on a Yamaha TW200

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

It's nice to be able to put your phone or your gps on charge while out riding a TW200 or any other kind of motorcycle. It's also nice to be able to see the battery voltage on your bike weather you are running a lot of electronic accessories or you just want to know if you should put it on a battery tender. I found something that does both! and it has and on/off switch so you can connect it directly to your battery.
Hope this video was helpful, thanks for watching!

UPDATE 6/8/18: once in a while pushing the button won't turn it on but if I push a few times it turns on, kind of like those old lamp switches. may just be the one I got. I also have had it in the rain a few times and still works. Super impressed with your videos 🤘 , the TW200 is the most popular motorcycle in South Africa , we use them on our farm and they work super hard every single day for years on end ! All i do apart from anual services is change the oil and oil filter every 2500km and the engine will last you a lifetime . Keep up the good work and thanks for all the hard work making these videos , much appreciated . Greetings from Namaqualand South Africa .

Another very well done how to video. I think having a voltage readout is really important. I'm running NOCO gear on my KLR with a lower dash that has a voltage readout. I run a lot of electronics on the bike, and it gives me a peace of mind to know where my voltage is.

  • @TDubsKid

I personally just run the stock rear and a shinko 244 5.10-18 on the front, I actually got brand new ones in that i'm about to put on, never used that one but it says it's for a rear, not sure how much of a difference that makes but the 244 says it's ok for the front or rear

  • @TDubsKid

hey glad to hear the videos are helpful, it's mostly likely the cable wasn't lubricated at the dealer I just put a new clutch cable on my tw and clutch pull stiffness was a night and day when adding the proper lube, check this out kzread.info/dash/bejne/aXiTuNSho8XIk9Y.htmlm50s, also not a bad idea to check the clutch cable adjustment while your at it

haha awesome, i'm doing some motocamping tomorrow, should make for a good video. as far as getting them used I would just keep an eye out for a good one at a good price, then check it out really good, check the oil, make sure there is nothing strange going on with it, and try to get proof that the services were done on it. then once you buy it I would change the oil and filter, and check the valves and a lot of other stuff
