I wanted to add, I said cylinder head a few times when referring to the cylinder head cover. I only noticed it when I watched the video myself!

nice video. i'm getting ready to replace the head & cover on a rhino I just picked up which the previous owner cracked the cover and tried to fix it by covering it in epoxy..... also .1 = tenths, .01= hundredths, .001 = thousandths.

I have put the stud kit in a hisun 750 engine. Perfect!! Its a cub cadet challenger 750. Also drilled out the small restrictive water flow holes in the head gasket for much greater flow and added electric water pump ahead of engine mechanical pump. What a beautiful experience! So worth the time.

@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures if you look at all the head gaskets for the rhino based design engine, there are only 2 holes open for full water flow around the engine and up through the head. I examined the cylinder and determined at the end of break in there were hot spots forming. I drilled out the other 6 holes in the head gasket for greater water flow and added a cheap low power electric pump. Its like a whole nother machine. Temp gage is more stable and better cooling under load. I am willing to bet that I even may be able to add the thermostat now for the raptor and grizzly so I can add a heater. I do not believe the original pump alone was designed for a full water flow through the engine. Adding in the electric pump ahead of it was a super drastic change.

I am having problems overheating and keep blowing head gaskets. I have tried everything I know. New water pump, hard wired fan, new head, new cylinder jug, new valve cover. Do you have any suggestions? I'm totally stumped and sick of rebuilding. Thanks

What cylinder are you running? I have the Niche on here and have heard lots of bad things about them. The cylinder liner can be slightly offset with the cylinder, which causes head gasket failures. Otherwise I would suggest getting the cylinder top machined along with the cylinder head. Cometic gasket. Head studs. Copper spray. A bit of luck. Prayers maybe? 😀

I just traded my old dozer for one of these and I think it has a bad head gasket which he did not disclose but I noticed bubbling in the radiator reservoir so probably going to have to work on it. The reason I traded the dozer was I didnt have time to maintain it lol

Anyone know the physical dimensions of the studs he used in the stud kit? I have an engine of same design with the actual measurement in metric but I can not find a stud kit listed for it. The long bolts I have are m9 x 1.25 x 109mm. Looking to see if the bolt lengths are the same.

So to speak yes. I have a cub cadet challenger 750 utv and the engine style is the same. Replacing head gasket and looking to put in stud kit. None listed for the hisun engines... or at least cub cadet. But the original head bolts on the rhino, the torque specs so on from video look the same. So I figured I would see if they are the same length original bolts and if so order some studs for the rhino as a replacement.

@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures that would be a great help for sure. The originals are all metric. Im pretty sure the yamaha is also metric. I saw the instruction paper in your video and it has the nuts listed as 9mm x 1.25 pitch thread. So I just need the length.
