In part 7 of our 2017 Yamaha Raptor engine build, we’re ready to install the cylinder head. We’ll start by getting the head gasket on, and then we’ll show you the torque settings and the tightening sequence to get the head installed to Yamaha’s specifications.
There are a couple of other parts we’ll install, including the thermostat and an oil delivery pipe. We’ll also set the valve lash on our Yamaha Raptor 700, showing you the valve lash settings on the intake and exhaust sides.

Well organized, well edited, well detailed, and very well explained to the point that, as an amateur mechanic, I have zero reservations to perform this myself should my Raptor ever need such work... I was just looking for the oil-bleed bolt torque... Thanks!

@@travissprague7775 I did something to the same extent. Dropped a wrist pit for wrist for piston down in the motor. Got it out luckily. Thought I was about to be splitting the motor. Stuffed some clean rags down in the hole gave it another shot, and got it. That’s one of them mistakes that you’ll only make one time.
