In part 6 of our 2017 Yamaha Raptor engine build, we’ll show you how to install the valves in the engine. This process takes a little time and attention to detail, as John will show you how to check the valve’s contact with the valve openings and then show you how to lap the valves.

How do you know how deep to install valve seals?
Nice video. Is there a leak down test and repair video? Seems like the best way to see if your motor needs a rebuild.
I had a shop press in my new guides, my original valves (the stems) do not slide down in them. Kinda at a loss. Are they supposed to be tight ? So tight I wouldn’t be able to lap the valves and the seats?
hey i've been wondering what happens if the valve contact point is too large how would it affect the engine could it damage it or loose power?
