Yamaha Champions Riding School

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The morning of the ChampSchool introduction Nick Ienatsch said, “We’re going to give 100% of ourselves to you for the next two days, but we expect the same in return.” It resonated with me. It reminded me of why I’ve had so much success with attending schools or simply when listening to those who have more experience than I do. I do appreciate the instruction and I do try to apply myself, 100%. A lot of what I would learn in the following days on the racetrack and in the classroom apply to all disciplines of riding and some things, to everyday life. And that’s why the Yamaha Champions Riding School is based around what the crew calls Champions Habits.

A bit late but thanks for this. Great video. I'm a 3 time grad and I can continue to improve now that I have the tools and the vocabulary they gave me to analyze what I'm doing. Can't say enough about it. Worth it.

I've read your books and viewed a bunch of your content. "100 points of grip" and "load the tire before you work the tire" are two things I remember every time I ride. I do have a question....Do you in the course of instruction delve into correctly setting up the suspension for each rider? Having a properly set up motorcycle is a key component is both going fast and being safe. I'm a 50 year old Marine Corps veteran, and am street / novice class trackday rider. I've been considering YCRS with the goal of increasing my overall proficiency on a bike. I consider riding safely a large component of proficiency, and speed is a byproduct...not a goal. Would YCRS be a good fit for making that happen? Thanks.

Keith you need to do this!! I have a story. I high sided a F3 honda back in 97/98 kind of fuzzy @ Pocono broke collarbone and a six pack of ribs! Got my Evel Kinevel starter set. My wife was pissed. Later she bought me a class at Freddie Spencer’s where Nick I was lead instructor. 2002 maybe. There was a guy who took 5 classes before . Can’t remember his name in his 60’s like me now. I was thinking what didn’t he learn the first 5 times. Later that day he passed me in a turn dragging his knee and was gone. This old dude was fast! At that moment I realized why he went 5 times before. Nick and company will make you far better than you think. I went 3 times more. I’m 64 and just got Stem Cell for lower back, neck & knees. No pain anymore. Planning to retire and spend my time burning tires up. For anyone’s interest I went to Munich then Austria for treatment. I did a lot of damage to this body. But on a brighter side they fixed what I screwed up so they can do it again. Probably!

@@lefin1027 Thanks for the story. I hear what you're saying, and I wanna be that old, smooth guy who is fast as a result. Also a firm believer you fight like you train. Train to build muscle memory and instinct, so there is a good possibility I'll be at one of the NJMP classes.....at least once.

@@lefin1027 I'm going to try and make that one. Being in the middle of the week is the only downside, but I can probably make it work. Also trying to see when I can squeeze in a track day this spring. Probably do 2 in the fall, but want to get one in the spring if I can swing it.

Looks like the school will be running at about 9 different tracks for 2020. They'll have schools as close to SD as Willow Springs & Buttonwillow and as far as Sepang, Malaysia next week. ridelikeachampion.com/motorcycle-school/schedule/

The industry really isn't growing because the economy doesn't allow most people the luxuries like bikes like it use to. Sad but true, people who have the slightest interest and the means have bikes already because they really are fairly cheap and affordable to insure but yet still no growth tells you something.
