Well, once again I ended up with a bigger project that I originally planned. I can't believe it took me as long to make this one as it did. Though, to be fair, I was a bit lazy in the first couple weeks when I started (cooldown after the last big one?). This time it's "So Much More!" (Konnan Janai) from Yakuza 5! I do want to give a shout out to Klaige on Twitch as his playthrough of the game is what brought the song to my attention. Check out his channel sometime~
Like with the previous one I ended up charting out pretty much all the parts I could hear in the various versions I had listened to and studied. This includes the 4 "uncles" (or whatever you want to call Kiryu and the guys) doing their fan chant thing! I didn't transcribe/work out EVERYTHING of the weirdness they spouted, but used a good chunk of it to create an interesting interjection throughout the song. The latter half of their part isn't exactly what they do, but I worked with what I felt fit with the rest of the song.
I'm considering uploading a 2nd video of this, but it'd be without the piano solo to showcase the 'backing band' of this one. I'm not sure how many tracks I'll show with the Synthesia bars...still working that out. It would be nice to highlight the 'ideal' bassline I wanted to use as it's EXTREMELY difficult for piano at this tempo. We'll see though~
