A bit quicker with a new video than usual, but that's only because it's a follow-up to the last one I shared (the 2nd video I mentioned). Last time the video was a piano arrangement for "So Much More!" from Yakuza 5 with additional parts in the background. This time it's flipped a bit. The piano cover is still there, but it's now in the background and the other parts I've written out sheet music for are in the background (with a few exceptions) - hence why I'm calling it a "backing showcase" this time around.
So, many of the parts I mentioned charting out are more...visible...in this version. The colors of the bars are as follows:
- Blue on far left = a bass line trying to match what I heard in the original (or close to it). I had to simplify the piano bass line in the previous video as parts of this are...just not playable in that sense.
- Yellow = Guitar
- Orange = Horns
- Red = Fan chant by the 'uncles' (what I wanted to include anyways)
- Purple = Some backing parts based on original mix.
- Green = Melody (Haruka)
- Blue in the middle = harmony vocals.
- Blue on far right (and right at start) = Additional backing parts based on original mix.
There are a few parts that I don't have visible as either it'd just be super messy (block chord progression/tabs driving a few parts) or don't really have actual parts (drum loops). Unfortunately, Synthesia only has 6 colors to choose from so that made things awkward. If I could find a way to tweak that (or a different program that has more colors but makes these too?) then I won't need to double up on colors again, but I guess we'll see.
