I thought it was settled and it would stick. Of course if Jill stayed her daughter then Devon would not be her grandson. Another option would have been have terrible Tom be the kid she gave up. Tom and Jill are about the same age. Sure Kevin would have loved having Katherine as a grandmother. Downside this would mean he almost had sex with his cousin Mac.

@@kreed82 Marge returned and took Kay’s place again. Marge was killed and when the real Kay returned, no one thought she was Kay because the DNA didn’t match. They finally realized that was because Jill and Kay had no relation.

I guess the revelation in 2008 that they weren't related shouldn't have been too much of a surprise. After all we only had Katherine's word for it.

That was cute. This is the Jill I know, because I started watching last November. Love Katherine too, and I miss the actress who is playing her, and I can't wait until she comes back!

I thought they would have just kept them mother and daughter after this. So I guess someone altered the DNA test.

Liz and Kay should have been sisters. That would have explained the DNA results.

So her daughter had a baby with her husband/Stepfather? Y and R you are sick.

Does anyone one know thd scene with Elizabeth harrower where she tells Kay the truth.

I wonder how brenda Dicksons jill would have reacted to this news. Also I thought jills mother was that old cleaning lady.

She would have reacted very differently I believe. Bill Bell grew tired of Jill by the 1990s after Brenda Dickson was gone, so he had the character stuck with the same storylines: marrying John and cheating on him, feuding with Katherine, disapproving of her son’s girlfriend. If Brenda Dickson was still in the role, I don’t think that Jill would be fond of Katherine being her mother.

@@solomonpayne7179 I agree, Brenda Dickson as Jill literally hated Katherine. It would have been strange seeing Dickson and Jeanne Cooper’s character act chummy with each other.

Fans LOATHED this and that’s why it was undone, eventually.

It made no sense. Why would Jill be excited about the woman who killed the man she loved being her mother? That would’ve meant that she was married to her “brother”, Brock at one point and tried to marry her stepfather also. Brenda Dickson’s Jill would have fainted after hearing the news.

I may be wrong but I have the feeling that Jill is involved in this Will Scam. I read on You Tube that Catherine had a DNA done it showed that Jill was Catherine Daughter. But it also said that no one saw the results but Catherine. Who knows I wasn't watching the show back then I was working.After retirement I start watching All My Children until it was ended. Then I start watching The Young And The Restless because Angie and Jessie was going to be playing on the show. Who played on All My Children so that when I start watching The Young And The Restless because Angie and Jessie was my favorite on the show.

@Michael Stewart - No, , this was reversed, it broke up Billy and Mackenzie, thinking they were cousins . They weren’t. Tucker McCall was Katherine’a son, she didn’t know if she had a boy or a girl
