She had real talent. It's too bad that she's gone. There have been a lot of stories in Y&R in the past years where she would've fit in nicely.

I often think of this great Lady, Mrs. Chancellor, as I delve into fond memories of the past about my own now deceased Mother as she continuously glided throughout the whole of our household with her elegant, & long flowing gowns w/attached silkened and(or) velvety robes just looking and smelling like the richness of pure wealth indeed. 🙏😇🙏 And as for myself, I have long taken up that same mantle from BOTH of these beautiful Ladies and carried it forward in much the same manner as them..... 🙏☺️🙏🌹🙏💕🙏 MRS. CATHERINE CHANCELLOR FOR LIFE!!!!!

Started watching Y&R for the very first time during the summer of 1981 and right before my junior year in high school and Jeanne Cooper was indeed an icon.

She was phenomenal, I miss Jeanne Cooper Everytime I watch

Thank you for posting this lovely tribute to Jeanne Cooper. She portrayed a character for over 40 years, I met her once at a mall appearance and I am surprised how her death has had a huge affect on me. For over 30 years I have watched her and it feels like I lost a part of my own family. I still expect her to see her on the Chancellor set. God I miss her!!! I remember Jeanne Cooper being in cowboy TV shows like "Gun Smoke" and I think she was superb in her role in "The Young and the Restless" as Katherine Chancellor!

And she WAS MAGNIFICENT IN ALL OF THEM‼️ BUT WHEN SHE TOOK THE ROLE OF KATHERINE CHANCELLOR IT WAS A GAME CHANGER FOR ME ‼️ SHE WAS POWERFUL, DRAMATIC, DYNAMIC, SENSATIONAL ‼️ALL THESE THINGS IN ONE LITTLE LADY‼️ AND I HAD GROWN TO LOVE HER AS ONE OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS, BECAUSE SHE WAS ON MY TV EVERYDAY.I GUESS YOU COULD SAY THAT WAS MY WAY OF SPENDING TIME WITH HER. IN THE LAST EPISODE OF Y&R WHEN SHE WAS GOING UPSTAIRS AND JILL ASKED HER IF SHE NEEDED ASSISTANTS TO GO UP. Miss Jeanne sooo much . She was the glue that well kept them all from killing each other. (Early clips were a bit of a scenery-chewing situation) but as the show grew so did Jeanne.. RIP or Grande Dame of GC.

She died, I never watched another episode. The first time I watched it, she was instantly my favorite character. Victor Newman was my 2nd most favorite character. Then, John Abbott.
