2024 and i still come back to this from time to time. I rarely watched The Young and the Restless, mostly when I visited my nana (Rest well Nana), and i loved our Y & R time together. Jeanne Cooper killed it as Katherine Chancellor. I remember the day my Nana told me that Jeanne passed away and i had little tears running down my face because I loved Jeanne. Rest well Jeanne. We will always love you and miss you 😊 well deserved!

She's been around forever - I remember her back when I was in school during the 70's and would get home early to watch Young and the Restless and Mrs. Chancellor. RIP Jeanne Cooper and thank you for all the wonderful performances!!

Jeanne was a great broad in every sense of the word. YR died a little bit when she departed this Earth. But she’s smiling down, knowing the show must go on.

I absolutely adore Maura West. I just wish that Y&R (Maria Arena Bell) didn't waste her like she did.

Cannot believe that she has never won before now...something is wrong with the way that they configure this award process....Cooper has been devine for decades (even when she didn't have a story to shine in she has been stellar).

For me personally, no Oscar, Emmy or Golden Globe is able to define an Actress or an Actor. By the end of the day it's not the Award that makes their work complete but how the Actors themselves see their performance.

I adore Jeanne Cooper, however, this should really have gone to Nicole Forester. She was without a doubt the best lead actress on daytime this year.

Chappell is very good...have seen her on DAYS too and she is always giving raw emotion & nuance in her scenes. Not sure that she has not tried to do more film work - it's a tough field.

@Messylin maura was not pregnant. her last baby at that time was dec. 2007. Her last baby ever was june 2009. the emmys were held june 2008. so unless it does not take 9 months to be pregnant, she was rude.

the thing w/ me, i watch Y&R B&B and a lil of ATWT AND OLTL! so i like 4 out of the 5 actresses! idc who wins rly, except if its that one from AMC! THEN ill be mad!

Miranda Hayes I can never understand some of the Daytime Emmy nominations, yet alone the wins. But, there is a lot of talent and some years the competition is very tough. Also, it’s about choosing the right reel to submit to the judges and a lot of politicking, just like all awards.

the acting stuff most often goes to the CBS soaps...as it should. all of the nomiinees this year...cbs. as much as GL and ATWTs ratings may have suffered some, they are still great shows.

We don't have Y&R here, but from what I've seen from Jeannie, she's great. Although it's kinda hard to understand what she's saying most of the time.
