I am completely shook y'all. I did not expect that clay mask to do my hair like that! The apple cider vinegar was stank BUT pretty much did the job when it came time to cleanse my scalp and hair. Applying leave-in conditioner in the shower is a game changer - so, so efficient. My gel even worked better to clump my curls! I don't think you understand...I'm obsessed.

If y’all tryna do this method, maybe just use this as a one time prep for winter rather than a regular routine! First of all…IT STANK. Second of all, the double cleansing could be too harsh for some of y’all’s hair over time. So just be smart and use at your own discretion! I’m gonna play it by ear and use JUST the clay mask in place of my shampoo ONCE a month. 💃🏾

Ur correct, this method too often will break ur hair off especially because it was designed for low porosity hair. His curls were revived but he aint at maximum hydration. This method is over 14 yrs old made by Cherry Lola so way back in d day we just called it the cherry lola treatment. To reach max hydration the treatment is actually done for 7 days i think but ive modified it yrs ago to be done in 3 days. After this initial 1st stage. The vinegar part is just a 1 time deal in the entire method though. U maintain ur results with once a month or every other month clay treatment if ur hair says its needed and deep condition once a week with heat or overnight is a must. I do the full treatment once a year and thats in the summer because my hair stays under a cap with deep conditioner for 3 days. I rinse every evening and recondition. Doing so gets me to max hydration quickly and thats when ur curls are really formed, soft and just juicy. No friz to be found.

Dandruff has a variety of causes. If it's real dandruff (the yellow thick scales that fall off in big sections) it's caused by a fungus. For this you need medicinal shampoos. If it's the fluffy white small bits that you can agitate with your fingers it's because you either have a) buildup on your scalp, or b) dry skin. If it's a) a good clarification routine and moisturizer on your scalp will help. If it is b you need to be more methodical. You can clarify, but that will strip your skin, which causes more dryness, which causes more dandruff. Do not use head and shoulders. You need to treat your SKIN as a whole. What helped me is the following: omega 3 supplements. I was severely deficient in the omegas and omegas contribute to how your skin retains moisture. I applied a pre-poo if bio-oil. You could use hemp oil but hemp oil is really expensive. I left the bio oil in for 2 hours and then clarified. Use a scalp agitator to stimulate blood flow to the scalp at least once a week. More times if you have the time. You need to know the cause of your dandruff and whether it is dermatological or not. Dermatological issues require strong clarifiers like head and shoulders, and if it is psoriasis it requires other medication, but for the other causes, shampoos like head and shoulders will literally make it worse.

@@ProseismyVision I'm not sure if it worked for you but I personally live by ACV. When I first went natural like 8 years ago I had the worst dandruff. I it was constantly agitated sometimes Ill have sores if it was real bad. But for me ACV really cleanses the scalp and keeps it clean for a while even when it gets itchy still no flakes. I personally put absolutely nothing on my scalp aftwards I deep condition, moisturize, leave in condition and put oil (on strands not scalp) and I live by it honestly

MHM been around since 2014/2015. I did it when I first went natural 6 years ago. If memory serves it had a lot more steps than what Will did here. He missed the cherry lola step for sure. And there are product ingredient restrictions similar to the curly girl method (no silicones, mineral oil, parabens, etc etc etc...it's a lot). That made it difficult to find products that were cost effective for this method back then, maybe better now with more natural hair products on the shelves. MHM helped me to really learn how to manage my hair and eventually I was able to modify it and create the regimen I still use today which is kinda in line with what Will did in this video but I start with shampoo instead of acv.

Right! And it was a 7 day commitment! I worked out of town for about 6 months with no family , that's when I tried MHM (2014). The product list was insane! I was going to Whole Foods for a particular conditioner and gel! But when I tell you my hair was GORGEOUS and healthy!!!!! Bouncy for no reason at all! And the only product on my hair was an organic gel! So the conditioner I used changed ingredients and it absolutely made a difference in my hair's texture. There's definitely way more IMPORTANT steps missing from this.

When I was doing this I found an article of someone who did it a couple of different ways I'll see if I can find it but for anyone with the extra extra dry hair plus dry conditions like myself, I recommend if you have a steamer to use it with the deep conditioner or do the misted shower cap under multiple layers of warm towels and such. Just a tip from the brittle dry and crusty crew.

🚨Please do not do it long term. 🚨It damages your hair strands and literally makes them look like frayed rope under a microscope. Notice that everyone who uses MHM are not able to retain length. I’m saying this as one of the early co-developers and testers of MHM. Please do not use this method on any type of regular basis!!

@@raspberrysoda2277 Yes, I had before and after microscope photos. Before my hair was just okay... after, it looked like frayed old rope under a microscope. What happens is TOO MUCH water is forced into the hair strand and then sealed so it literally BURSTS. I'm sure you hair could handle like once a month, but please don't do it on a regular basis. Your hair will break. I personally wouldn't even do it at all! You can get the same results simply using bentonite clay mixed with simple water and then put curling pudding after.

Your videos are too funny 😂. I love apple cider vinegar rinse and sometimes use ACV in my Aztec bentonite clay mix. To mask that NASTY apple cider vinegar smell I use 3-4 drops of peppermint essential oil and it makes it smell much better. Would love to see you use the ecoslay Jell-O shot jell cause I think it gives wet line definition.
