I think what would be really helpful is a video on how to layer scincare products, and what products to use at what time of day. If you're new to skincare this can be very confusing. Combining the wrong products can actually cause quite some damage whereas layering incorrectly can render some products useless. I think a lot of people need a guide on how to get the most out of your scincare and make it effective!

I just want to say: Thank you Dr. Maxfield and Dr. Shah for your content. I am turning 30 in the next few days and I have fought with acne for about 18 years. I visited countless dermatologists but most of the time I ended up with some overpriced cosmetics or strong acne solutions which make my skin dry, inflamed, and flaky. Nobody truly explained to me about active ingredients or what could be truly beneficial for me. Thanks to your videos I updated my skincare routine a lot and after one month and a half, I already see improvement and results. Also, my skincare routine is much more fun for me :) So once again, thank you! ❤️

What you're dermatologist won't tell you is acne starts from within I too have struggled eith acne for 14 years, finally cured it after doing an elimination diet, stopped using all skincare and brought things back one at a time to see what my body was reacting to, turns out I'm lactose intolerant. 80% of my cystic acne went away after 2 weeks. Now I have hormonal to deal with but that's a different ballgame. Also look into face mapping. It will tell you about the different kind of acne and which organs are distressed. And the locations and what type of acne you're dealing with, as with everything take what is useful about my comment and disregard the rest. Just trying to help another sufferer!

@@twistedxvengeance lactose intolerance would have shown up with severe digestive issues after milk consumption... That honestly sounds more like a casein problem. I could be wrong though! Good that you found a contributing factor. I struggled severely with hormonal cystic acne when I was younger and am still on the pill because I am terrified of it ever coming back (my sister has the same issue and when she stopped taking the pill her skin was a mess for two years). I also have a complex metabolic issue (severe histamine intolerance) which causes weird outbreaks sometimes... So yes, if it is real acne there normally is a reason "within".

Using The Ordinary’s Peeling solution is one of the products that has helped me cure (yes, cure) my acne. My skin doesn’t turn over like it should and the sticky, dead skin cells cause clogged pores. I have been using this peel for about a year now and I still don’t leave it on for more than 5 minutes. If you damage your skin barrier with leaving peels, acids on for too long, it will undo all the benefits. The skin-barrier’s health IS the most important thing in achieving healthy, clear skin.

This is my favorite video. So helpful and hilarious too. ETA: wow! I was surprised all these hacks passed muster! I appreciate your willingness to consider other alternatives. As a PhD, I am always disappointed by how much we can be constrained by epistemic norms. But you guys are really reaching out to open up the knowledge. This is the definition of what Kuhn calls a “paradigm shift”, at least in your scientific field. Hats off.

Something I've noticed about the Aztec mask is that it actually helped fade my wrinkles, I don't know if it's because it makes your face pulsate and brings your blood flow to the surface or the acv. Anyways I believe it has helped me, it could be different for everyone I guess.

almost 18 year ago my sister went to a dermatologist for redness around her nose and the doctor said to use Nizoral shampoo, it was fortunate that we had it at home already, as a anti dandruff treatment. It worked, of course. I'm glad that the world finally caught up to it and it went viral 😆

I would love to see a video for skin/face management for nightshift workers or nightshift healthcare workers. Wearing masks all the time is hard but you usually get a break when you're in your car or going home. When I work a 12 hr wearing and switching from N95 to surgical the entire time, by the time I get home in the morning I'm tempted to do a deep clean and recovery. I would love to hear any skincare suggestions to help with the breakouts and cleansing
