Ironically enough, when my skin was dry and dehydrated and I had very few blemishes and I thought I was doing ok. No skincare to speak of either. But last summer when my GP told me that the tiny bumps on my nose were rosacea, a kind of acne he said, I started a journey to a full skincare routine now that has made my skin incredibly healthy and dewy at all times, on which makeup sits nicely (didn't wear makeup for years on the dry skin). BUT now I get the occasional normal pimple...... and I don't really care about it like I thought I would. I'm not even half a year into retinol and other acne preventing ingredients so I'm hoping that the spots decrease in frequency over time anyway. Regardless, even if there are a few of them at one time, or a breakout of sorts, the rest of my skin is so nice that it's not as noticeable as it was before when my whole face (I now realize) looked unwell and irritated from dryness. Also, they are way easier to spot conceal now that the skin is healthy and takes to makeup. So even a no-fullface-makeup day doesn't have to reveal the breakout.

Just fyi: Vaseline itself doesn't moisturize. It just creates a barrier over your skin while your skin does its thing. So it's your own skin's moisture, not anything added to it. Imo, find a quality moisturizer that will let your skin breathe freely. Good luck 👍

@@preetparmar1939 Oh you're so welcome! And yes, according to the American Cancer Society, the glass typically used in cars, homes and office windows is designed to block most UVB rays, but it doesn't offer protection from all UVA rays. So if you're inside and close to a window, you still run the risk of exposure to UVA rays and possible skin damage. UVA rays are generally linked to aging, wrinkles, sun spots and other signs of sun damage, whereas UVB rays are linked to sunburns and skin cancer. Clouds also don't block UVA and UVB rays from penetrating your skin, so although it may feel cool and cloudy outside, your skin will still absorb these harmful rays.

@@vidaliatheonionqueen I'm super oily and live in a very humid environment (90-99% humidity daily until rare winter dry cold fronts for a couple days) so I use benzoyl peroxide to soak up some of that oil (I also had oily acne prone skin since puberty so). I wake up wayy less oily that way. Ugh it sucks to see my friends who eat junk food and still have dry clear skin in this city😫😂

@@chocolatecharley99 i live in the same climate and my skin is the same as what you described. trust me. only use benzoyl for spot treatment at night. your skin needs to heal over night and plump. use benzoyl toner in the morning after using a gentle cleanser. that will keep the oil down. but don't over use it because you'll dry your skin out. and use benzoyl lotion afterwards if your skin is in a bad breakout state. it helps cleanse your skin throughout the day while it's getting dirty from your environment and touching your face. and make sure you wash your face at night with a stronger cleanser to wash those products and settled dirt and oil off before bed. keeping a routine of this, your skin will eventually become less oily and you can decrease how much you use benzoyl

@@maddye117 and imho embracing ones silver/grey hair is just as sexy as a bald man who accepts his baldness vs doing the combover or hair plugs etc. I love a sexy bald head on a confident man!!

I tried slugging with the Cerave ointment and I hated it. For some reason, it made my face really hot and was driving me crazy. At least the jar didn't get wasted because I discovered I absolutely love it as a moisturizer for my legs.

Hi you guys are amazing! Thank you for making physician-recommended content freely available. It would be so helpful to see a realistic breakdown of procedures and treatments. Botox for fine lines, fillers, laser, dermabrasion, etc etc along with which demographics are best suited to each, cost (although I know this varies by geography, practice, etc), how long effects last, all that good stuff. Thank you!

I loved Dr. Shah’s reaction to baking soda! I tried it years and years ago to exfoliate my body, and I have oily skin that is not sensitive, and it irritated me! Thankfully I didn’t use it on my face, I have adult acne and would’ve ripped my skin off. Never again! I’m glad they are getting this out there. Never again will I use DIY, except maybe plain jojoba oil, or coconut oil to shave my legs (and then rinse off).

I love to watch the two of you. The information is great but even if it is a topic that doesn’t apply to me personally, I can’t miss it. I’ve been a subscriber since you started and I recommend you to everyone I know. Not to mention you are very easy on the eyes! 😉
