I've been using this for years. Not as a gel but as an aide to add moisture. I SWEAR by it. I use it daily with my leave in conditioner when I rebraid my hair. It says it rebalances moisture and I believe it does. I love it in my 4c hair. P.s. I don't braid for a twist out ... it's just for the moisture aspect.

​@@dianalogan6185 use the SCurl no drip activator juice with it 😉. Actually any gel with the juice does wonders, even for coarse hair. Ex. Wetline Xtreme, Eco styler etc.

Thanks for the review! Have you ever tried using the jheri curl activator to do a twist out? I tried both twist out and wash and go on my channel and It was an experience!

Curl activator and all old school curl products are moisturizing, they are different from "holding gels" like Wetline, etc.

This product is designed for use on hair that is curly permd/texturized. This is why were not getting optimal results Regardless your curl pattetn turned out so beautiful _😍

You’d say the cantu gel is a moisturising gel with similar results to the Ecostyler?

I bought the S Curl Styling gel in silver and blue jar. It has more hold and clumping ability than this, but it still makes your hair ridiculously soft. I'm gonna try it with eco styler gel on top next. I need my hair hold. I think these types of gels would be perfect as moisturizers under gels without causing flakes.

Everytime I use Eco it leaves residue in my hair 😭

You didn't use enough S curl and you have to have wet hair.I use it under the gel when I wash n go

My 4 C does not look like this, y'all should do private tuts,,, wash and go I have never had, but a wash and should've could've

Did you try this again while your hair was completely wet?

Next time wet the hair first before putting the gel then cantu on.

I brought everything from Cantu nothing works for me with that brand....

I hate their brand. Can't stand Shea Moisture either. NONE of the Black hair care products are designed for truly, coarse, 4c, extra thick hair....NONE! I find it to be EXTREMELY depressing and discouraging. I feel you on this subject. 😢
