This video was made in response to a number of comments requesting a video of the settings I have used to make repetier host run smoothly with the da vinci 1.0.

Cheers mate I have had the Davinci for 4 years and never used it until now, you videos have help greatly.

In all fairness, I am that stupid so I'll be in my own little special corner trying to learn everything. Haha So far your video is going to help me out a lot. I got my da vinci second hand a few years ago. The extruder head was not installed and the dude told me he couldn't figure it out. I learned a lot through trial and error. It's nice that you took the time to help people out with settings.

one more tip, i found to use repetior with da vinci 1.0a, you have to use the repetitor rev 1.0.6 as the video shows, all latest version will show connection problem. you have to find your own way to get that old version of repetior

Does anyboby know how to use this on the Davinci 2.0? i changed the firmware on mine and i need to redo the home positions but when i try to print something it only uses the first extruder even if i have it set to use the second. i Looked at all the settings under the extruder tab and i think i have it set up correctly but it wont use the second extruder. Please help!

I have a problem with my X axis on the Da vinci is a tad off when doing the auto bed level test. Do you have any ideas?

Hey Jacob, So I'm having a really weird problem where I can print fine on one end of the bed, but when I move it out to a further corner of the bed, the print gets all jerky and the x axis jumps around making the print fail. If I print close to the home point though, it prints fine. Are there any bed shape or printer settings or EEPROM settings I might have missed?

In case it helps anyone, on my 1.0A it has the correct X&Y to start with (-33.00 & -12.00), but I had to adjust the Z from -3.00 to -2.50 since the bed was too low.

Nice job on your video. Are you still using your Da Vinci Duo Printer? I'm pretty new to this. I've updated the firmware with Repetier 0.92, but I'm having trouble loading the filament (when I go to load, after the extruder heats up nothing happens although I push the filament into the nozzle). I can communicate to the printer with no problems. Thanks.

Great Work Jacob, I've successfully upgraded firmware on my MAC. A few struggles as you can imagine but got there in the end. I have Itemised the Mac issues/instructions on a word doc for Mac users if any one wants them then reply with your email. Also, to center your extruder the EEPROM Settings are X-34, Y-12 and Z depends on your calibration height but -3 is a good start. Unfortunately it seems negatives figures cannot be set on the Mac version of Repetier so I had to do this on a PC.

After messing around with the settings (it took me awhile), the best settings for printing in the center is: X home position: -25 Y home position: -10 Z home position: -3 Try these settings, then let me know.

After many hours of tweaking my Da Vinci 1.0 i was able to print PLA and go back to ABS with no problems. i still need to add a fan for PLA to make the prints even better. To print PLA using stock extruder change temp to 215c change bed temp to 65c save your profile so you can go back to ABS. change firmware extruder steps to 89.00 . i use Cura for slicing.

Are you pc or mac? On Mac you can't put it into negative figures which really sucks, if PC try putting the 'z home pos [mm]' to -10mm to start with the gradually move your way up in .5mm increments until it gets to the right level.
