As much as I understand why other medias had more subdued versions of WWX's powers ( budget and the moral of the story being that rumors that hypocritical "righteous" people use to justify judging and acting in evil ways are a botch). The Dongua is so. Fucking. EPIC. Especially the his reunion with Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng. You can actually understand why he was feared as the yiling patriarch (even if in novel his powers were blown out of proportion due to said rumors.)

0:56 That summoning of paper doll is like THE BEST SCENE IN THE DONGHUA. The timing, background music, his voice when chanting the spell, it's PURRRFECT. Kudos to the donghua team, they do showcase WWX power very well in this series.

Top 3 reason why you should not mess with Wei Wuxian. He's the most powerful one, because he is smart, witty and have the mighty Hanguang Jun undying love and protection

I remember in the manhua it was Wangji who took Xingchen's sword and soul pouch from Xueyang, then saying "you are not worthy of this sword." And I feel like that line fits Wangji more.

Don't even start....there is no way out of it.....i watched it 2 years back and recently 3rd season also ended... I still can't get out of it

The desperation in Xue Yang's voice when he tells them to give back the spirit Xiao Xingchen's soul was so sad. I know he's a psychotic character, but you can really hear the pain in his voice.

Wei looks so god damn cool when he summoned the corpses

I like both the DOnghua and the Live action. There are missing part in DOnghua like in the temple they should confess but you can see them in Live action. In donghua Wei ying is so flirty to LAn zhan and even told him He likes Lan zhan and You can watch how LAn zhan tied wei ying and the juniors see it as if Lan zhan is saying "He is only mine" Lan zhan shoved away Wen ning because he is jealouse but you cannot see it in Live action. It is like filling the missing scenes both DOnghua and Live action. Wei ying is also stronger in Donghua.

When Wei Wuxian is strongly intelligent and witty, whilst Wangji is strong for his cultivation and protection for Wei Ying. They clearly are great comrades.

Besides the limitations of live-action and budget, the chinese censorship of dark magic & ghosts REALLY compromised Wei Ying's real powers in the drama 😩 I'm glad the donghua was able to showcase his powers more accurately to the novel

i really like modaozushi compared to untamed its closer to the novel but untamed is also good but because of chinese restriction some of the scene where not given justification

其實動畫這裡處裡很好，點睛召將術劇版因為涉及怪力亂神改了，動畫除了同性戀不能播之外，原版設定海外分享版喔，大陸國內刪了，夷陵殺溫晁溫逐流那一段，原著比動畫戲劇更殘忍。動畫戲劇還是做點處理。把溫晁被萬鬼撕咬沒有播，只看到魏嬰在吹陳情，溫晁直接變成碎片

I didn't watch the anime yet But, in the drama, the one death I cried for was Xue Yang He cared, just that his way of caring was different from others (also, the actor portrayed the complex character well, instead of focusing on just one way of expressing him)
