There is a few things wrong with that system: 1) Should be built into the machine from the start 2) Delay should be adjustable to minimal 3) The sensors cover 60° out front, there needs to be a better arrangement for the one on the laser 4) wireless cutoff switch is a nono 5) Gas should be dispersed from multiple points trough a diffuser, including from the laser 6) should accept commercial soda co2 bottles 7) needs a warning beacon on machine after gas dispersal 8) needs room co2 sensor with warning beacon to warn of co2 concentration in the room 9) needs a „hard“ backup for when the co2 fails to put out the fire, dousing the inside/outside of the machine in fire retardant

Great video! I love the way you routed the sensors along the black frame vs the lid like xTool did in their introduction video. Thanks for sharing!

It really took a long time before it decided to put the fire out..

It is unlikely that it would get to that point if you were in the room as you would likely stop the process before that point. Of course since I was trying to get the fire extinguisher to activate I let it run through its process.

For sure. The amount of time it took to put the fire out does not justify this extra cost, at all.

I agree that it seems to take quite a while to activate but the fact is that the fire was extinguished. Since the enclosure is a set volume the size of the fire is not important because it can only consume so much oxygen which is displaced by the CO2 anyway. Christymarch: The laser is fine and the house is not a pile of ash so I’d say that definitely justifies the price, especially when you consider how cheap this system is compared to repairing fire damage. I’m sure if it activated too fast you would be complaining about that instead…

Greetings, and thanks for the video. I bought this based on your video. I do have a question, I got the single cable replacement for the P2 that uses the internal cameras. Have you moved to that, and if so how do you test it, because the sensors will show the lights blinking, this is bypassing the light box ( I think)

Sorry but I don't have the P2.. Yet 😁. If you are on Facebook, I would check for a P2 group to ask the question. I belong to the M1 group and the members are really good at answering questions.

I installed the canisters and they started gushing and turned cold , is that supposed to happen?

Did all four do that or just one? Make sure you push it in quick and firm. It could have been that it didn't go in all the way to seal.

Thanks for this video. Just wondering is just one cannister used per fire? Would it be worth ordering an extra set of cannisters? I've just ordered the P2 & am considering ordering the fire safety set for that.

It holds 4 canisters with 2 sufficient for the M1. Would be a good idea to have another set on hand.

@@The10AcreWoods so for the P2 all 4 cannisters could go off.....even if the sensors detect a small burn rather than a serious fire? Surely only one blast of CO2 would put out most starts of a fire??? The sensor on my ortur LM2 would go off several times (even when there was no fire) I would have wasted SO much money on cannisters for not being able to get to the machine within 10 seconds. I'm worried at hoe sensitive you say they are

You could always install only two canisters at a time if that is sufficient enough to put out any fire that occurs. Just make sure that when you install the canisters they're installed diagonally in the number one slot.

@The10AcreWoods do the cannisters need to be installed for the sensors to work? Could you still have use of the sensors without having any cannisters? When the sensors go off I'll just check the machine & if there's no fire (or just a small fire I'll just put it out myself) From all videos I have seen so far 1 burst of air seems 2 put out big fires why not just have 1 cannister go off? Seems like using 2 (or 4) is excessive...right?

The alarm will still go off without canisters installed. Depending on the size of the enclosure depends on how many canisters should be installed. You could use the unit alarm only without the canisters but just make sure you do have a fire extinguisher in the area.
