Lightburn works great so far but I've decided I don't want to use the offset red laser anymore, I disabled it in laserbox but lightburn refuses to start where I have my actual laser firing, how do I fix this in lightburn ? I'd prefer to turn laser fire on and have that be equal to my job origin. Please help.

Is Laserbox Basic the same as xTool Creative Space? When I click on the link you provided, it says I don't have access to that.
Hello. One question. So, I still have to download laserbox, even if I will be using lightburn? All those steps you show, have to be done in that order in order to use Lightburn? New user, and am watching tutorial, before I do anything physically with my xtool d1 pro 10 w. Thank you.

If you are using absolute coordinates like we use in the video, you do not want to move the laser head by hand. Typically if the design is backwards it means that the origin is set incorrectly. There are 4 options. At the time of recording back left was used for the origin with this machine. Did you change the origin? The origin for the xTool D1 (at the time of making the video was set to the top left). If you have it set to a different corner in LightBurn it would mirror the image/engraving. If you do have it set to top left, they may have changed something so trying the bottom left would be my next step. The most common cause for a mirrored image is incorrect origin setting. In what way are the cuts imperfect? If the lines are strait (meaning lines in line mode) then for cutting you would just be raising power, lowering speed, and potentially running multiple passes. If you are needing to dial in settings for a specific material a material test grid is going to be your best bet.

The most common cause of a mirrored engraving is that the origin is not set correctly. I would start with the top left for the origin and if that is mirrored they may have changed the origin in their firmware. Use a piece of scrap material and try the different origins until you find the one that gives you the correct orientation.

There is definitley something not right with LightBurn reading my Xtool D1. I have Windows 10. I've set up LightBurn exactly as you have described in the video...only in my case I've got the build #2. I also now installed XCS from Xtool because of the RA2. I've followed the instruction to the letter on this video. But no matter what I do...LightBurn will tell the laser to move the lower right...I'm in Absolute Coord. and yes, I've put the laser head top left before turning on. It will not frame in the same place twice. I've 9 hits on the gantry, and it through the gantry totally off square. I fixed that part...and now in the settings work place I did not put in 432 mm x 406 mm for work size. I entered 399 mm x 406. That did stop the laser going into the rail when framing. I do not know if the board circuitery is wrong or what. The laser works just fine in XCS...however, I also have a Lightburn Camera that I can't use if I go with XCS; and in LightBurn it worked one time and after that...it would not move the laser????? I'm perplexed at where to go to from here? Believe me when I tell you....Newbies such as myself...do not want to go with LightBurn because they are hearing how folks just don't get it. This is not a criticism guys...but your Software will do fine with many laser types...that is good.

It is possible that xTool has changed something in their controller or firmware that has changed how it behaves. I have not heard of any issues with controlling but I have heard of some weird things with the rotary which is something that you mentioned here. I am almost wondering if when the RA2 is used it is changing part of the firmware configuration through XCS. It should be only changing in software. If it worked one time then something definitely has changed. I would start by deleting the current device in LightBurn and downloading the LightBurn device config from xTool to start from square 1. Then move the laser to the back left, power on the. machine, and see how it behaves. Yes, I followed the instructions but for some reason it was not recognizing it. I finally was able to get it to recognize but now all of the settings are completely off. I am pretty familiar with lightburn as I use it on my OMTECH, but it won’t line up or recognize the bed.

I will uninstall everything and try again tomorrow.
I can't get anything to see my lazer

Is it a D1 or something else? Some manufactures have specific device profiles to help configuring. If you have tried different USB cables and drivers with no luck it would be worth contacting the machine manufacturer.
The driver will not install

If you have installed the software from xTool you may already have the driver installed. If you are still having issues contact our support at support@lightburnsoftware.com
...and of course my CH34 driver will not install.
