Nice one 👍. I live in Arizona, in the desert. So, in the summer I ride at night, much cooler and I see a lot of animals.

I haven't ventured out into the dark with mine yet because of the animal collision issue. But your driving lights seem to help out a lot, so maybe I'll look into getting those. I believe that "holding the line" is a good strategy, since some animals seem to switch direction or change speed mid-run anyway. Going into a sudden lean or drastic maneuver in the hopes of missing an animal might make the situation worse.

It is nice to do occasionally especially if daytime temperatures have been high. Also if you have someone to drive with would be nice. I think I do it simply because it’s such an unusual eerie feeling, especially on trails. Without additional lights keep the speed down to 60km/h or 40mph. If it’s really dark you overrun the headlights. It’s a good experience but not for everyone, I have mixed feelings and I don’t do it often but… On occasion with a buddy to make stops have a chat, and enjoy the dark sky’s is nice.
