Yes, I avoid unfamiliar mud holes. Plus, your bearings will last a lot longer.

Yes, especially the mucky stuff, I don’t worry about the odd 5 second dip to get through something, but many people don’t understand how hard it is on things, especially extended exposure.

🐓🐓🐓 Just kidding. I would have turned around too. Where’s all your snow?

I don't take too many chances either when alone and remote. If I was completely familiar with that particular stretch and knew that it didn't dip down... maybe, but it looked like it could be fairly deep.

Agree, some of these patches have basically swamp mud like grease at the bottom.. ideal to go through with and atv first..

I ride alone most of the time. I'm 50, and ride a xt250 as well. No way do I take unnecessary chances. I live in south western Ontario and look for unassumed side roads like that. That's the perfect kinda stuff for the xt. I'm really hoping to stretch the xt legs on a trip to the pick axe loop this summer. Not sure if I want to ride the 4plus hours up there or throw it in the truck. Lol. Been watching your channel for quite some time now.

4hrs to get to a start location is too much for me also, . I'm in mid 50's. I'm going to make a small trailer so I can get to further locations. My other thought, a person could stay at a motel. Do a day drive with many stops to rest my rear... lol.. I don't get tired, it just becomes uncomfortable.. spend a night, explore region, and another night stay, and drive back. Thanks for watching, I better do some new videos soon.

@kd_enterprise3404 my plan was to camp as I go. Maybe a motel if need be. I make youtube videos as well, but focus on atv camping. I have enough gear to load up the bike for moto camping but haven't tried it all out yet. I'm not sure how the xt will do loaded up with camping gear and my fat arse on it lol. But I will do a test run with it before I head out to far.

@@RobMillerATV I’m sure the bike will be fine to get to location, I’m 220 and take a passenger often, and it does fine at say 350 total pounds. I just won’t do any Slightly challenging roads.. find a good camp spot, off load, then enjoy the area.. My issue with camping North of my area are Black flys, it varies depending on location and time of year. Ps I subbed to your channel, you have a truck which would handle a hitch carrier for the bike if you don’t want to roll it up a big ramp and put in box…

@kd_enterprise3404 thanks for the sub! Iv only did one video of the xt. But I'd like to do more. I need to get a better mic for my full face helmet. I'm better geared for atv stuff, but working on it lol. I have a long trifold ramp that makes it easy to load up the bike and quad in the back. Fingers crossed get out lots those summer and do some filming.
