The way I saw it the combat looks like the spider-man game combat. I played it on ps4 and i saw some similarity. The one that tells me its gonna be the same combat is the way your character counters the enemy attacks. You can when the enemy attacks your character just shots a yellow charm at it even when the enemy is out of your view.

Felix wasn't giving constructive criticism but poking fun at the games minor flaws. he is free to do that ofcourse, but we cant call it very constructive. What we as consumers in this industry need to do is start setting realistic expectations, it would solve many of its problems.

By rough around the edges i was just acknowledging it's minor flaws(from the trailer). It seemingly doesn't have the same polish of a product from naughty dog, Rockstar, Riot, santa monica studios etc... and thats OK. It is not a damning statement dude, its just an observation/ acknowledgement. Theres nothing wrong with holding devs to higher standards (especially higher standards than 20 years ago lol) but like i said to the other guy we just need to set realistic expectations when doing so. I said it looks good/ promising i dunno what else you want from me.

The game honestly looks really good, chat overusing batchest emoji is honestly cringe and spamming batchest at a game trailer is top tier chatter, hope the game gets multiplayer where people can atleast pvp and do minigames.

It has great potential. Hopefully they don't mess it up by hurriedly making a co-op mode due to fans wanting it badly and create a whole bunch of bugs. If you make a co-op or online mode do it slowly and steadily. Edit: Also they probably tried to make it sound more like the 1800s due to the story taking place in the 1800s which is why it sounds kinda weird to many.

Yeah, all Warner Bros games have the same combat. Attack with 2 Buttons, Counter, Special attacks, im 100% sure it'll have the same combat as Shadow of Mordor, and Batman. Not the best, but fun!

It looks pretty decent to me. I maybe be Clueless but i don't see anything in the trailer that should reasonably make people mald and call it trash instantly like our dear chat has done here.

Yeah I mean the only thing I don't like when I see it is that the npcs that aren't being attacked are just standing there like scarecrows. However that could be due to a lot of things, like the fact that theyre just trying to showcase it, or that there are difficulty levels and theyre showing a lower difficulty. It seems like they have added combos (or at least finishers, I assumed you would get the finishers from combos) so it could be good, could be bad. who knows.

For the combat they just need to vary enemy weaknesses based on progression so you don't end up with mega broken combos that last the whole game. The rest looks great but I hope the looting and side quests aren't too grindy as in it takes 80 hours to be maxed out at any point. Graphics look great but a couple weird things going on, honestly fine as long as there's no bugs (looking at you, cyberpunk)

Honestly, it looks kinda cool in the trailer, but the game itself will be ass. Using same 1 combo to defeat countless enemies all the time, doing quests like "bring me 20 Nirnroots (or Boomslang toenails or whatever)" and getting sick of the same 3 corridors

I hope that timer mechanic doesn't involve having to pay microtransactions to skip them

Harry potter games always introduce spells and new abilities in a unique way. Even lego harry potter did so it'd be safe to assume the lessons will be engaging and fun.

Taking a look at the top 50 most selling games ever immidiately tells you that people do not like hard games that much. So the game will most definitely not be a miss. It will sell huge. Most of the people that play games are actually casual players and those people usually play a game and move on until something new. I'm stricly talking about single player games here because Hogwarts Legacy is a single player game. On the other hand, hardcore gamers talk about games much more and are more vocal in the gaming community so it may seem that's what everyone wants but in a video games world they are actually in a minority compared to the casual players. It's just that casual players don't talk that much and engage in communities. I personally know people that haven't touched a game in more than a decade that will come back to play this game. My friend that has only played sims and a few ps1/2 games in her life will play this game. So they are definitely building this game for a right audience aka more casual players. It won't be elden ring that's for sure and I finished it the other day, and even tho it is one of the best games ever for me, I would rather play something more casual like this game. After all we have to see, they said the game will have many difficulty options, for people that just want the story and for the people that want a challenge and everything in between.

I find people complain that this game uses a lot of common RPG mechanics and movesets and I’m over here like “Do you even know how difficult it is to make an RPG game?” Now I’m not talking about the graphics or the story, I mean the movement or combat mechanics like attacks, dodging, parrying, shields etc. These gameplay mechanics have been used by a lot of RPG games, why?, because they work, and it’s very difficult to make different mechanics for a OWRPG. I’m a lover for OWRPGs, The Witcher, Genshin Impact, Horizon Zero Dawn, Elder Scrolls, Fallout etc.
