Still runs, 39 years on! The smoke is just some WD40 which I sprayed the motor down with before storage. Don't worry, it was boxed up over the winter and not 'just' left under a tarp.
Found out that the gas cap vent was plugged over the winter, another thing off of the list., Bikes are one big pile of puzzles.
