Here is my experience with the workshop for specifically cod. The Workshop is useful to make guns more useable and to have a more predictable recoil. It’s definitely a good add and a great start! After hours and days trying to make bullets stack on top of each other with various guns, I don’t think it’s possible yet. I’ll leave the door open that it may be possible, but after watching the tutorials, doing everything exactly as you did it and even trying other things, I was not successful. I would love to see the option be a little smarter and do the work for the user to get the bullets lined up based on the traces recoil pattern. I don’t think it’s there yet, but I’m looking forward to seeing the enhancements to the workshop 😊

Use the vertical modifier to tighten the recoil so the full magazine fits onto the wall. Or just do 50 bullets instead. Realistically there wont be any ranked moment in which you will shoot more than 50 bullets in a row.

I’ve watched this video atleast 10 times & every time I try to use the workshop my recoil ends up worse than what I started.

Hey, you have to play around with the X and Y scaling to find the perfect combination. Otherwise it will only get worse. Sometimes you achieve a better result by changing the X scaling by one value, which then lets you use a different Y scaling value with better performance. The key with this method is to find the most optimal Y and X scaling value, only that way you achieve a perfect result. Also please make sure to consider the steps from the beginning of the video or otherwise it will be impossible to achieve a perfect result. That means you must use the recommended XIM ingame settings, no SAB, dont use smoothing deactivated and such things. If you experience mouse stutter fix that, it can also negatively impact the tracing result.

Can’t wait to do this when I get home. Hopping it will solve the issue I’ve been having on the recoil.

To be fair, motion aim is pretty free when controlling recoil and now it is standard in a lot of shooters. No xim needed if you have motion in the controller ie Dualsense.

From the popular games only two offer native gyro on consoles, and in both games you are better off to use stick aiming due to how insane the aim assist is in these games. Matrix offers you to use gyro mapped to mouse or gyro mapped to sticks. The latter results in gyro aiming having access to aim assist which puts your accuracy on a whole new level!

@@XIMCentrali think his point, is that although the ability to use different inputs on console etc is great, adding anti recoil features to Actually allow basic cheats, is a step too far. Which is also my opinion, being a Xim matrix owner. I love the device, but providing recoil cheats (anti recoil features) just give more reason for controller players to cry about Xim/Mnk being cheating. Which would be completely false had we not had any anti recoil features.

@@vYakss It’s not hard to make your own Anti recoil values, using the Workshop. I did mine, just fine without all the extra steps in this video. Just use workshop but trace 6-10 patterns then adjust X/Y until the spray is the absolute best you can make it. If you want absolutely 0 recoil, you need to edit the final result and adjust each of the values incrementally until you have removed the recoil from each direction change on the anti recoil.

Yes, but luckily game devs are a bit lazy and reuse recoil pattern for different weapons. In regard to Siege the recoil of Jäger = Flores = Osa = Mira = Wamai and so on. So its being reused quite often and you can use one setup for lots of operators.

Hey, you can take screenshots or a clip and use it as a reference. Ideally on a surface with a distinctive texture so you can later use the texture to compare where the bullets went to. Alternatively use my "XIM Matrix Perfect Anti Recoil" video guide. With that one you dont use the Workshop and disappearing bullet holes are no issue. It takes a lot longer though and is more tedious.

Im trying to do the third workshop stack but it just makes the recoil worse. Im trying to do it for the rust AK and i dont know how to the 3rd one. Any help?

For rust i would recommend to only do one workshop, and then manually edit the smart action sequence to get it perfect. The aim mechanic of the game is so bad that the tracing will not 100% reflect what happens in the game. So manual editing is better than adding more Workshops!

I don't know why but parts of my recoil work while others don't. The recoil will be good until the last few goes when it goes off track.

Hey, in some games such as Siege that is just how it goes. The more you compensate the recoil the more the recoil pattern changes. Thats why you need a second Workshop on top to remove the remaining (new) recoil pattern.

Doesn't seem like this would work for Destiny 2. Weapon recoil patterns can almost be entirely different and bullet holes disappear within < 20 seconds. Would be curious to see what you think though.

Hey, if you stack two workshops then that wont be an issue. Alternatively use a manual recoil spreader as that prevents the issue you described in the game. Its caused when no mouse input is being recognized by the game.

I’m having trouble with the anti recoil workshop in Apex Legends , im not moving and tracing all my bullets exactly how you said to do it , but it keeps making my recoil shoot down and it’s just not working at all. once im done tracing it’s making 3 large red dots and one of the dots keeps going all the way down off the model (screen) im not sure what else to do, maybe you have some knowledge about this?

If you turn it back on the anti recoil effect may no longer be as good as it was when not using acceleration. However you are right, for tracing you want to use 100% the recommended ingame settings which i think means no aim acceleration. If you cannot play without aim acceleration then turn it on again after the Workshop is complete, and check if it affected the anti recoil in any negative way.

pls make a video for Bandite. Some guns like that that are very hard for me that setup a norecoil setting.

@@roughrogue1426 Your XIM wouldnt cause anything like that so its most likely input device related, your network, monitor or something else. Try to isolate the issue by changing one of these things at a time!

When i do this with twitch F2 weapons its impossible for me, it shoots down and automatically shots up by it self - i made sure to inactivate my other shooting bindings aswell

So in a game like apex legends.. do you have to do this for every gun and also with every variant of attachment that changes recoil? So like 4 for 301m. Or do you just not pickup attachments?

Since every weapon in Apex Legends uses a different recoil pattern, and each attachment changes it, yes what you said is correct. To simplify things you could just avoid certain attachments, or always stick to the same 3-4 weapons.

Thats because those are randomized. Each time they will be different. You cannot remove that, only recoil that follows a clear pattern can be removed.

Since weapons usually use different recoil pattern this isnt possible. What you can do however is to use a light anti recoil effect that then works for every weapon. Like an invisible additional weapon perk. The remaining recoil must then be removed manually by aiming of course.

Please, do one for the ZK on battlefield 5! Cant get it as tight as you always gets.

Hey, if you are sure you have carefully traced the pattern then its maybe due to weapons way or your mouse sensitivity being too high. The higher the overall mouse sensitivity the less accurate the workshop will be. If in doubt raise your XIM sensitivity to something like 70 cm/360° and trace the pattern then. That way you get a much more accurate result.

Doesn't it make it really obvious when you negate any recoil as much as this? Just curious if people mention it spectating or on kill cams. I personally don't like to take it as far as this as it just makes it obvious

Some games change the recoil the more you compensate it. So if you shoot at the wall without touching the stick the recoil is different to when you aim with the stick. As a result you need two workshops to compensate such a recoil. How to do this is shown in this video! :)

Just set up the workshop but I’m having trouble using it into a group. I wanna put the workshop recoil is it’s own group while still being able to regular shoot but it disabled the both and I can’t figure out how to disable that. Ik how to enable it with a button but I need the regular shoot😊

In that case try tacing more patterns per Workshop (5 instead of 3) and verify that you found the most optimal X and Y scaling values before accepting the first workshop.

I followed your multiple profile setup video and you have over 12 workshop profile setup and i only got 8 and i am getting that error. CoD is no different. You just load the Shooting Range through your favourite weapon loadout, then make a 90° turn to the left or right, and then shoot a magazine into the white wall in-between the weapon stacks. Then you trace those.

@@zayaf18 You either use the vertical modifier to tighten the recoil so all bullets fit, or you just trace 50 bullets and thats it. In Siege you will never have a situation where you will shoot more than 50 bullets in a row. So tracing more is really not necessary.

@@XIMCentral thanks brother. One more thing. When we use workshop and finish setting up anti recoil after tracing and modify x y values. We use the closest 5M shooting. My recoil is perfect in 5 meters but when switch to 10M or 15M distance. The recoil is changed a lot. Is this a bug or i need to change something? Sorry for asking lot of questions.

Matrix supports both Controller and MnK and all of its features work with these input devices as well. So if you are a controller player then sure, you can use all XMatrix features including the workshop with it too!

Game developers usually assign different recoil patterns to different weapons. So you will have to address them separately. See the end of this video on how to do that in a very convenient way.

You can record a clip or take a screenshot. Ideally from a wall with a very distinctive texture or scratches, so you can later easier identify where the bullets went to when looking at the screenshot or clip.

Great video as always. Setting up this in call of duty can be tricky though, you should make a video about that. I´ve notice that recoil change the further away the enemy is even though the recoil seems/seemed good when you set it up.

CoD is not different to what is shown in this video. You spread out the bullets either via vertical modifier, or via manual smart action. Then trace them and adjust X and Y scaling. A second workshop is usually not needed for CoD, but can significantly improve the results if you want a truly perfect result. The issue you describe with enemies being further away is due to the aim assist slowdown. Aim assist strength changes based on the distance to the target, and therefore the slowdown also changes. I addressed how to handle that in the first workshop video! :)

Test it on the firing range on call of duty and you will see. When you shoot the wall which is close to you and have followed the steps in the videos it will be perfect however when shooting a wall at a medium to long range distance (with no aim assist slow down) it will rise more, I’m not sure what mechanic they have implemented into the game for this however it means it’s not perfect on cod. I personally play with a recoil setting where the final target in the firing range will have no recoil with the slow down however if I shoot through fencing or panels my recoil pulls down too much as I have no slowdown. I still feel this is the best way to get an advantage

Hey, can you check if the remaining recoil you experience is maybe randomized? Also verify if you use weapon attachments that reduce the randomization. Randomization can barely be removed.

Any idea when we will have direct pass through for the ps5 controller once more ? Its so annoying having to go into navigation mode to use the controller in game , I dont get why the change was even made in the first place ?

Hey, thats due to Apple. They started to restrict the maximum Testflight user count. Either sideload the IPA via your preferred sideloading app to your iOS device, or use the Android/PC manager. The XIM Company cannot do anyhting about it, its an Apple restriction.

Sometimes, the weapon sway makes tracing the bullet pattern difficult.

Hey I’m having some problems my mouse is super slow for no reason I have the same dpi and a decent sens but it takes 5 mouse swipes across my pad to do one 360 how do I fix this?

Hey, please try the DPI Checker in the XIM Manager. It sounds a lot like your DPI changes didnt get saved onto the mouse memory and as a result are only active when the mouse is connected to the PC. So your mouse probably runs on a much lower DPI value when connected to the XIM.

My ads automatically slides down after i do the bullet tracing. Anyone has the same issue or am i doing something wrong?

You need to use the X and Y Scaling to adjust the overall recoil reduction of the pattern you traced.

In the firing range turn to the left where there is a white board with weapons hanging on the wall. Use that wall to trace your bullets.

So I did the first workshop and tried to do the second one but when I go into the second workshop it still has my first workshop recoil it won’t spread using the 16degrees up thing

Hey, see the steps shown in the video with the groups and everything. Also listen to the audio as at one point i deactivate the second workshop by pressing the respective button (not shown but said via the voiceover). It sounds like somewhere during your second Workshop a setup error occured, probably with the group activations. So go through the video step by step again id say! :)

@@TelepathiQGaming Oh ok its rust. The issue with rust is that the aim mechanic is really wonky. So although you perfectly traced each bullet, due to the wonky aim mechanic the outcome will be slightly off. A second workshop on top can help, but i found it to be easier to just accept the first workshop and then manually adjust the smart action sequence wherever the result is off. So i basically do what i showed in my "XIM Matrix Perfect Anti Recoil" video by changing the respective recoil block that is slightly off.

There are times when I'm playing and I stop pressing a keybind but it keeps pressing making it move on its own, why could this be? Could it be a factory defect? I'm using the matrix

Does it only happen with keyboard keys? If so it could be a low key rollover. This can cause your keyboard to get inputs stuck if too many keys are pressed at the same time.

See the steps in the video, you probably did not do the toggle setup (or there is a setup error somewhere).

Some games out now have regular aim and focus aim, where you hit RB, for example, to focus your character's steadiness. Is there a way to bind a recoil control to that said RB/Focus aim button? If so, how?

You could create a second workshop when being under focus mode and have the focus mode button make your Matrix switch between both. Overall it may be easier to just not use focus mode but only run normal with a 0 recoil workshop result.

Yes. And thats why you must deactivate all other fire actions, so your weapon wont shoot when tracing the bullets. The Workshop will pause the fire action with which you launch the Workshop. As for your second question, you just use a random controller button as a temporary group toggle that doesnt do much in the game. Say DPad Up for example. Once you got your second workshop result you delete the group toggle button again anyway. Also you can use modifiers if you run out of controller buttons.

@@XIMCentral I was thinking about this for a future smart action for removal of bullet spread. instead of tracing the bullets vertically, you unload 3 magazines that is being controlled “recoil compensated for” and the outline of the cluster is traced, the smart action would then configure on the backend how to get it as tight as possible. Or what I’d like to call a “lazer”

Hey, i heard similar reports from other users. I can look into it but it might be that his recoil is bugged. Other operators had that in the past too, where the gun had not just one recoil pattern but several and each time you had a different one (Finka had it a while ago, Wamai a year or two ago too).
