I finally got Xiaomi Smart Pen 2. As a beginner in digital art I was very pleased by pen's performance. It behaves pretty good, but in some programs you definitely need to adjust stabilization to make smooth and clean lines. I have a lot of experience with traditional materials, but drawing on a tablet is something very unusual but also pretty fun 😅

Im starting on digital art and its good for me, honestly I havent got this kind of jittering while using inifinite painter. Theres some latency too, dont mind it that much

@@MichelSebastian8 im using ibis paint. its butter smooth for me. no jittering and latency in my experience. battery life for both pen and tab is fantastic.

I think it just isn't there yet. The line jitter/wobble alone is hard to accept, no matter what the cause is. Maybe the pen still needs some times for development. A Samsung Tab S6 Lite 2022 will provide a better drawing experience for about the same price with pen included. If on sale - much less!

Just the fact that you have to buy the pen for 99 is bad. It's a shame, the tablet is quite good but not for 400 bucks. Maybe 300 would've been the best price for this.

@@EnterpriseKnight In the video Teoh said the pen is US$50-60. It isn't as good as the Apple pencil or a Samsung S-pen. Maybe there will be someone come out and make an excellent tablet and stylus for drawing, but for now, Samsung Tab S still reign in both price and quality.

Honestly it’s better than 1st gen, the line is more taper… I’m drawing using Infinite Painter and their brush have stabilizer setting so it’s not a big problem to me 😂

Great review. glad to see someone doing a review while actually drawing. I'm on the fence between Xiaomi Pad 6, the Lenovo Tab P11 pro 2nd Gen, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. Looks like I can get the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro 2nd gen right now for crazy cheap because of their sale plus Rakuten 15% cash back. Will be using mainly for media consumption so I don't have to use my phone and then also to do some drawing.

Thanks for your effort! You just saved me. I'm considering using it at my serious travel art station since it has a really good spec with good price.But if the pen isn't as good as s pen I afraid I would be annoyed. Maybe I should buy something else..

This video has been very informative for me about the stylus. I got my Mi Pad 6 8/128GB for $280 during global intro release but didn't buy the pen. And now I'm planning to get the pen for casual drawing and saw this video. I guess a basic capacitive pen would suffice for now and wait for sale.

Nowadays I don't use screen protectors. I just use flip case. But I guess if you really want than get a matte screen protector but don't spend more than USD 10-15.

Hi theo, great video.. I'm thinking of buying a tablet like that for my drawings or the huion kamvas 13, I'm on a tight budget so ipad pro is out of the question . I would mainly use the device in creating tshirts designs mainly anime characters with some text in it, I'm current using intious pro m via photoshop but I can only use that device in my office work , unfortunayely can't bring it at home. Would device would you recommend.. budget is 300 400 usd

If you're looking for something you can bring around, there's Xiaomi Pad 6, Samsung Tab S6 Lite (2022), Samsung Tab S7 FE. If you don't need portability and you can buy from Amazon US, the UGEE U1600 is just USD 160 now and that's a good pen display. amzn.to/3RgIedi

M2 has the best benchmark and performance. But it doesn’t matter unless you use apps that make full use of all the power. I recommend you choose the tablet based on the apps you use instead.

I'm a graphic art student. I'm debating whether to get Galaxy Tab S6 LITE or Mi Pad 6. As far as I know, they're comparable in terms of screen resolution and storage, but from an artistic standpoint, I want to know which works best in your opinion.

Mi pad had larger display then s6 lite. Ill choose pad 6 here instead of s6 lite. S6 lite more better in writing consumption. But really it depends on your compatibility on a dvice.

If you draw often, Samsung is good. Otherwise get Xiaomi which is cheaper, not the Pro version because normal Xiaomi Pad 6 is good enough

Of course you have to consider the price. So many YT reviewers recommend products as if people are loaded with cash. For drawing, get Samsung for better pen performance. For writing you can get either. Actually get Xiaomi because it is much cheaper. And not the Pro version (more expensive) unless you play many graphics intensive games.

should i get ipad 9 256gb (second) or mi pad 6 256gb + smart pen? because in here the price is not that far fyi i mainly draw on desktop with pen display, so i wanna buy tablet when i'm outside the house i have samsung a8 2019 with s pen but i don't think it'll cover what i do now, because the internal storage is only 32gb, 8 inch of screen, and the pen is not that good either

I feel like the Xiaomi is more worth the money because the iPad 9 is a very old tablet release in 2021 using the specs from 2020. The Apple Pencil will have better drawing performance. And that's main thing the iPad is better than the Xiaomi. If you use graphic design apps that need typography, layout or vector, get the iPad. Well as a genshin impact player I can surely say if you can sacrifice everything just to play this game then go for Ipad 9th gen ( I bought Xioami pad 6 because I use mod apks which cant be done on ios software)

Surface Pro runs on Windows and is more versatile, but way more expensive. Drawing performance is good but I enjoy drawing more on Samsung and Apple

Hi! Can tab s7 fe handle multiple layers? I do art commissions and stuff on a daily basis, and my layers can sometimes go upto 40+ layers. I usually work on 1770x2006 px with 300dpi. Do you think it will lag?? Can it handle heavy drawings? Can it also handle large brush sizes??

I no longer have that tablet to test so I can't say for sure. But 1770 x 2006 isn't considered to be a high resolution file so it should be alright.

If you mean Sketchup from the web browser, yes. But there's no Sketchup and Autocad app from Google Play Store.

Not sure about whether tempered glass will affect pen performance. You can get those thinner ones which is good enough to prevent scratches

what is that drawing app your using? i got pen v2 for pad 6.. but my pad is pad 5.. they dont go along so well.. 😅😅 its hard to draw and much of the time at around 5 mins, the pen started to stop working,,, even in their native software notes... this has been my problem.. and not even their updates fixed this.. probably i need to change tablet now any fix on this issues?

Apps I use are Concepts, Medibang, Infinite Painter. Regarding Bluetooth disconnection, are you using a magnet case? If so try without magnet case to see if connection is better. Or it could be xiaomi has bad pen

Is it possible for you try the second generation pen on the Xiaomi Pad 5? As I am looking into buying the pen and it is announced that the second gen pen will work on the older generation Pad 5 but there are still no reliable review that can validate the performance of the stylus on the last gen tablet 😅
