We only got 4g about a year or two ago and barely get 4G away from main city centers. 5G is never gonna take off here due to millimeter wave penetration issues.

Looks a bit like a reversed dolly-zoom.

Most people don't even know the charger was removed. Working in a local carrier, about 90% of people, who recontracted their mobile line, asks me "Where's the charger?" or "Where do I put in the SD card?". Or a few years back "What happened to the headphone jack?" You see most people just buy what's the latest without checking the specs, they don't even know when features are removed or introduced, which sucks as companies can get away with it (because they still sell well).

used to love meizu, love their mx 6 pro plus, impressive phone, and still even powerful to this day. the bad? their global rom and software version is crippled and a strip down version of their chinese rom, which have better features, the phone have a heart rate monitor, the problem is, in the global rom, they dont have that feature unlock, because their software engineers are stupid. if i were you, stay away from them, i personally own a couple of device from them, and move on and use xiaomi now.

I love curved screens, it looks so good and really gives it a premium look in my opinion. I've had a curved screen for a while now and accidental touches shouldn't really be an issue unless you grip your phone really weird.

I am always looking forward to the gaming phone line up, I've got an rog phone 2 and 3 and a Black Shark 2 pro but I did quite like the look of the Lenovo Legion too. Just hoping that the rog keeps the USB port on the side to connect to a monitor with. (great for racing games)

Yes definitely can't be called a budget phone when you have the Moto g and the Samsung a series out there. Solid phones at low prices. But I think the point he made and I agree is that mid-range is the most important category right now. There are a lot of people who want a good phone but don't think they need everything the ultras, maxs, and pros offer.

Galaxy Note 3 started it all in 2013 to imitate a leather notebook... I still quite like the appearance of their take on this. The back is super grippy, matte black and enables to change the battery in a matter of ... seconds. Dann I want my 2013 back.

I'm personally looking forward to see what Xiaomi will come out with this year as I just got my hands on redmi note 9 pro and so far super satisfied with it! I can't wait for the global launch of Xiaomi mi watch as well. Also would love to see a video on "amazfit gtr2" there is many on KZread already but I'd really love to see either you or Mrwhosetheboss talk about it as you guys are my top channels for tech info. Xiaomi really got my trust with this phone and it was only £170 on black Friday sale I've decided next Xiaomi phone I'm willing to spend even up to £700 as like I said they've gained my trust :) all the best for you marques, and thanks for the great reviews.

The metallic circle at the back is just for aesthetics and it means you have one of the two limited editions variant. There are 3 normal variants and 2 limited editions.

I'm always most interested in the bleeding edge of technology, the flagships, the Pro/Ultra phones, the Snapdragon 888, the foldables, under display cameras and wacky new form factors, so I'm most interested in seeing what the new Galaxy Note will be, the new Fold and Flip, the next RAZR if there is one, maybe a higher end LG Swing, perhaps a Royole Flexpai that's actually, uh, good. I want to see the next step in folding screens, whether it's better scratch resistance, smaller creases or even different ways to fold it. On the other end, I'm glad to see cheap phones becoming every bit as good as older flagships. Just 10 years ago, a bottom end Android phone was not much more than a phone with a touch screen, put a few apps on it and it slows down to unbelievable slow, practically unusable levels, now people on a budget are afforded the ability to have a phone with a good amount of RAM, a decent enough amount of storage to get by before using an SD card, actually good screens, so I'm also excited to see how good a cheap phone can get, how cheap a phone I can actually recommend can become, maybe even a folding phone at a reasonable price with decent enough specs to make them the new flip phones like we used to see in the 2000s

The round metallic piece is suppose to be a "wireless" charging "power receiver" sort of thing where you have to buy a separate "wireless" charging station.

I'm excited for this phone and the other variants of it to come out this year. I was also excited about the Poco F3 but that's waned recently. Xiaomi is real game changer though.
