Xiaomi M365 Non charging issue easy fix.
This video is to show a possible resolution for the charging issue on the Xiaomi M365, this was the problem with my one and took 30 minutes to fix, check this fix before tampering with your batteries, any questions let me know. I've also mentioned so preventative maintenance for long term care, a compression cushioning around the cables and BMS will fix future problems that can cause breaks or damage in the scooters life.

Thank you so much! All it took was a little wiggling of the connector and now the battery charges as before. It is also for videos like these that I love the KZread community
Thanks so much! Just watched and fixed mine. So frustrating!! Lifesaver!!
This video was very helpful. Thank you, mate!
No concerns about heat dissipation when you’ve stuff plastic over those components?
excellent clarification , thanks !
you are a lifesaver thank you very much!
Helped, thanks Mi electric scooter Pro 2 version. You have my respect man!
you are genius Thomas! You saved me scooter :). I had exactly the same issue

You're a lifesaver thank you so much bro I just tried what you suggested and it's exactly what was wrong with mine
Thank you, problem is sloved🤟🏻
thank you man! it worked
Thanks a lot - fixed it for me!
Wow 😃 nice video Sir! And i love those 18650 battery pack 😍
You're a life saver
Just having this problem now, hope it will be the same as yours- will open it on weekend, thanks a lot though !
Thanks for the tip, save my day. I can't believe this basic problem stil exist in 2020 model of Pro 2 😟 Not everyone has an electrical screwdriver to take out and put back 21 screws plus you need a special bit 😟

but everyone can buy one it's cheap. And if it's under warranty just send it back for warranty, if everyone keep fixing the problem himself they never know there is those problems.
Thank you! 👍
I just kicked a bit at the bottom where it is supposed to be disconnected... and it worked ! (I did not open it !)
That's my issue too thanks.
Thanks for the video. My battery had one pad that had no contact, after soldering it, it was possible to charge again
Thanks for posting this vid Thomas! I had the exact same symptoms and was pretty down about it, but your video helped me realise that my battery might not be completely trashed after all. If you can believe it, my case turned out to be even simpler than yours - apparently the charging port got dirty, so I cleaned it and it resumed charging again :D That silly port cover is the worst, but need to pay better attention to it from now on. I also fiddled with the wires connecting to the charging port before checking (by just unscrewing the charging port itself instead of the bottom cover), so not sure if that made any difference, but both wires sit pretty sturdy in the port already. Anyway, thanks to your vid I have a working scooter and don't have to take it to someone who can fix it :D Yet.

How did you clean the port
@Ruslan-S
2 жыл бұрын
@@millietoomey4066 hey! Idk, was a long time ago, but with something small like a toothpick and isopropyl alcohol. The bad news though is that in my case the battery did seem to charge initially after that, but later that week died for good. Maybe this was caused by dirty port arcing, or bad battery caused the port to oxidize, or was just a radom coincidence. Got the battery fixed on warranty that week and still going strong!
Found one on the curb/sidewalk, someone put it out, read E1 , I changed the front tire motor, you can purchase online around $50 and, it works fine ,👍😊
I tried this, I saw no issues with a loose cable however, I notice in the video you have a blue light flashing, mine is flashing RED. Is this an indication as to what's wrong with my scooter?
You saved my scooter
tnx alot :)
What if you put some silica inside to avoid the possible moisture that plastic accumulates? Another idea from a user was to use silicon instead of a plastic bag material
Awesome 🤗
Bro, how did you get inside it? It's got some allen looking screws that won't let anything go in because it's got a nip of metal raised in the center of it.

Hey @pica I have had no issues so far been using it for 10 weeks now, every day, I have additional lights front a rear, and wear a helmet at all times so you look like you should be on the road, I do my best not to give an excuse to pull me over, Im I'm near a police car I will kick the scooter much more so make it look as if I'm not just riding on pull throttle but only when needed. I think the main thing is to just make sure you look safe and are not putting you self at risk and others and they will leave you alone. I'm in Brighton and there is loads of Xiaomi scooters and even a electric scooter shop selling just scooters so it's definitely coming we just need to wait for the law to catch up. It's very backwards in the UK.

Have you looked to do the firmware uprade so top speed is 20mph instead of 15.5mph? if i get one im planning to add a second battery for increased range (my commute is 3 miles of roads and 10miles of canal routes one way), This artical shit me up, but the kid must have been taking the p*ss to get 6 points www.theguardian.com/world/2018/nov/14/boy-gets-six-points-on-future-driving-licence-for-scooter-speeding
Worth a return imo if you can. (E.g. Amazon or anywhere). Had the same issue with our S1 scooter. I remember I jumped a bit with my scooter and then it doesn't charge. This could explain it.
THANK YOU GOD VORKİNGGG 3 DAYS PROBLEM AND YOU VİDEO
What screwdriver do you use ?
How can you fix this, if the pin was broken off ??
I think I have exactly the same problem, but I can't see what you are doing with the pen or where it should be aligned.
Classic 👌
naah that bubble wrap is not a solution ... coz if there is short circuit it will burn up pretty fast ... rather use silicon glue to stick those wires
@frederic6998

solder them properly or change the connector.
My scooter pro is it same way to fix it ? Thank you
Nice.. nice.. but if it gats humedity then will be worse. I would do this only in summer and only on dry seasons.
What does this ride like when off, like using it as a regular kick scooter if the battery flops

Very bad, not at all as a normal scooter. Lots of resistance on the wheels. If you give it your all you can go about 10-15 meters after stepping on.
How do you test to see if the battery is dead? I followed what you did but it's still not charging.
my battery is blinking red not blue like you what does it means?
Mine was already tight do u know whats the problem with mine? When i put it to charge its still green please help quick
With the foil ... what about the heat? I would not do it this way.
This kind of fixes my problem, but... As soon as I start screwing the screws back in it goes back to green. As soon as the "lid" starts to tighten it goes back to green.
Thank you ahaha. Ijust touch my scooter wire and then it work 😂
Didn,t help at all but i enjoyed the vid(lol) cheers
I'm going to use liquid silicone to keep it from jiggling about same as the motor area
Have you been getting stopped/ unwanted attention from the 🍩 👮 🍩? dont want to risk fine + points on me license just for commuting with this scooter. do you think it will be alright using on dedicated cycle lanes on the pavement (not in the road)? this would save me so much on time and transport, just nervous about the 🐖.

Yes, police do nothing. Media blows everything out of proportion. In London you'll see e scooter riders everywhere.
Bubble wrap will cause the Mosfets to overheat, better to use some silicon.
If you open the cover will you lose your warranty?
@frederic6998
3 жыл бұрын
yes of course. If it's under warranty send it back.
Hi everyone, I have the same problem. When I open the battery cover, the bulb is red, not blue
*plays with ungrounded wires while running current through charger* 😂😂
The blue light not blinking
When I connect the charger, light on the battery stays blue for a few seconds then blinks reds and then completely turns off. Any ideas?

Hi all, My scooter has the red and black wires reversed in the white pin. I just reversed and it works :))

1:14 it's negativ not earth.
Dont put plastic on that board, it could start a fire and became worse near the battery
Wouldn’t that be a fire hazard
First let the scooter cool off a little before trying this. It won't charge if it detects high temperature.
Me, when I fixed my charging issue, just by flipping my scooter upside down ;)
