Great video I had the Mi 11 Ultra and that phone was a blast, great cameras and the rear display is really fun and useful for self pictures and videos, it can definitely hold up pretty well against the 13 pro, the phone aged really well and I am glad to see it! I got the 12s Ultra currently and that is also a great phone, but I cannot help but miss my Mi 11 Ultra for it's awesome rear display!

I also have Mi Ultra 11 and is great camera and I like rear display. But I was looking for Honor Magic Pro 5 and Xiaomi Ultra 13. Thinking should I buy or stay on Mi 11 Ultra and wait next year for newer models.

OK so I have owned the Mi 11 Ultra and was really upset when I dropped it last summer. But I had it long enough to appreciate what it was good at and what it was not quite so good at... Overall the Mi 11 Ultra was the best phone camera I had ever used. The screen on the back was perfect for quality selfies as well as selfie videos. But where it fell down was not apparent until I got the 13 Pro and it really did take using the 13 pro to find what I was missing. Now I will be 100% clear I have still not been out and taken a lot of photos in the real world with the 13 Pro but I do take product photos to show customers products I am currently working on for them and they get updates as I go.. Its in a workshop with LED lights and a window behind the parts I am working on, which is not great for detailed photos due to the back lighting. But I can get the camera to meter on the part better and you get more separation in the image so the parts do stand out more. The parts are all black carbon fibre parts so it really is a challenge being a black product with the carbon weave pattern on the surface too. The 13 Pro gets a LOT more detail, especially in the 50mp mode. I do tend to use Leica Authentic most of the time and Leica Vibrant when the light is not so good on a miserable damp day with rain or mist to just bring more out of the image. To be honest both modes do seem to help make the most out of and wintery feeling day here in the UK. Cold brighter days mean Authentic is all anyone needs for point and shoot images. Dull days it seems Leica has helped get more out of a day when most of us would rather be at home keeping warm and dry. The Mi 11 Ultra is not and was not a bad camera at all and if I had not dropped the phone, I would still be using it for another couple of years as it did all I wanted and all I expected. The 13 Pro is an incremental change not a massive leap in quality. The Mi 11 Ultra sensor is as close to 1 inch if not actually closer to 1 inch than one other phone I had looked at, the Sony Pro i which uses part of the 1 inch sensor. Now I am looking forward to better weather and some sun on my back to get out and go take some more interesting photos of walks and hikes we would normally do.

Nice comparison. I think flagship cameras from Xiaomi have not improved much in the past two years in terms of actual photo quality. Maybe they need their own ISP to make significant improvements. It is more of a different style in the photos than before rather than vastly improved quality. I think they have improved the photo taking experience quite a bit though. There is much less shutter lag on the 13 pro and you also have all the different filters

@@ThroughJermainesLens True. It's a very good camera phone still but it does also highlight the lack of progress. At the time the Xiaomi 11 ultra was probably leading the way but basically they've been going sideways since then and other brands have caught up and probably even surpassed them. Let's see if the Xiaomi 13 ultra brings something better in a couple of weeks time

nice comparison as always, I wanted to inform you that it is still possible to install the leica camera mod on mi 11 ultra with additional functions compared to the original and the complete libraries of the 13 pro. All this also on miui 14 and with the possibility of manually adjusting contrast, sharpness, saturation, in practice you have complete control of the camera and all this with a magisk module

Do you notice the difference between the screen qualities of the Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 13 Pro? Does the Mi 13 Pro LTPO screen makes a lot of difference?

You can't go wrong with either like you said Jermaine. The 13 Pro does eek out the win but props to the GN2 on the Mi 11 Ultra. Xiaomi you have been consistently providing us with great cameras. Great video Jermaine.

The Rear Display is definitely not a gimmick on the MI 11 Ultra

How comes the mi 11 ultra delivers crisp, sharp, detailed images without software sharpening while sensor is smaller?

The 13 Pro had some wins but, overall, I think the photos out of the Mi11U were better. They seemed overall sharper and the colour science was more to my liking.

and that honestly is why I always say preference is a thing ^^ the mi11 ultra has more of a normal approach where the 13 pro has a more stylefull cinematic approach that I prefer overall.

Since your 11u is still on miui 13 I need to say you will take better photos by miui 14, night mode has better white balance and details with better highlight controlling, supermoon algorithm got better as well and finally by this update now I can take a decent photos on panaroma mode, before that it was just a trash and pics were ruined by a little shake but since then I've taken tons of panaromas and enjoy.

Well…I have both camera phones and i test them taking a sunset over the sea and the m11 photo has better fasma colors without editing,but after editing the pro is pro about colors and grain…Anyway the m11 still standing…Last week I went for holidays to Budapest and had with me the 13 pro instead of the fujifilm xt30ii with the kit lens or my xt5 taking a risk…thanks God the 13 pro was like DSLR!

Xiaomi mi 11ultra is the best phone they have ever made I just wish they did a full global release back in the day ..

I was thinking of upgrading my Mi 11 Pro to the 13T Pro but after watching this video, I have come to the conclusion that there isn't much point. The camera is only slightly better. The only other benefit would be 512GB of internal storage. Sure the processor is more powerful but is it worth it? I don't game, just appreciate a decent camera. Excellent comparison video. The Ultra and the 11 Pro have the same camera

Mi 11 ultra is a legend .it only has a display shadow issue and wifi not working after using it for some months ,it can be the update issue.

Compare the base Mi 13 vs Mi11 ULTRA

GN2 sensor is still one of the best on the market

The night mode shots of the 11 Ultra look IMO much better. More details also in the dark areas and overall they seem more sharp. Side note... 11 ultra still scored higher in dxo than the 13 Ultra.

There is a difference though in approach, and what it is going for, which people often overlook, the mi11 Ultra goes for the more bright shot, to show everything BUTTTT night isn't always like that, heck often it isn't! With the 13 pro (it isn't always correct because from time to time it is to contrasty and dark) it has that NIGHT feel you want in the shots, where the shot isn't bright, where it feels like it is a night shot, and I do prefer that when it get's it right, again this isn't always the case, but when it does, it is far superior then any other. Also DXO... Seriously? DXO?..... We do not talk about the, because their scores and b.s has been wrong so many times, where I even question if they look at the shots. Also btw, on the Xiaomi 13 Pro you do have for low light the Vibrant mode (I prefer authenthic) this will go for the more normal mobile photography approach

Also I saw that Leica filters could be used on the 11 Ultra, but don't know if this is still possible. What I do usually to get a "real" night shot is just to take night shots with shortest setting or even just the lense without any specific night shot setting. Mi 11 Ultra was a concept phone that became reality and still dominates. After that, xiomi started copying apple, alongside a bad quality check which made all the later releases dumb. Look how desperately they're trying to mimic iPhone with their mi 13. Ultimately it underperforms and looks like another generic brick.

Expensive phones call for a smart jacket.

As first i would compare Mi 11 Ultra with 13 Ultra. Second-do You have issues with overhating during using camera? Before that was a problem with Mi11 Ultra.m Is that fixed or...?

oh man, that is such a hard one!! the problem is that there is a lot of difference in approach and style, where preference becomes such a big part of it. What I can say is that I love the 13 pro A LOT! when it comes to the camera performance, and so do I love the Vivo X90 pro, even though they have such a different approach between the 2! I don't think I can give a simple answer on it, but right now the 13 Pro is my favorite, I know this probably doesn't help a lot, but I find it bad to give a dishonest answer without taking into account perference and approach.

Samsung's images are soulless..... xD And I do miss Huawei as well as big competitor! They where so good for us consumers because it allowed for competition and made Samsung take it serious as well!

May be it is KZread compression, but video looks cleaner on Mi11 Ultra while stills look tiny better on 13 Pro. Look at the trees when he is moving the camera it is a mess on 13 Pro.

Motorola have autofocus problems, dosen't focusing close object with main camera, is very blurry photos, i have it, now have 13 pro, not same league in camera category. 13 pro is more, more better.

You seriously talk about effects, sir? Not about different modes work (including manual), not about different ЭФР in different conditions, not about actual GCAM, that will give both phones much better quality (especially on telephoto lens)? But waste time on cheap gallery posteffects?)

Thank u man💚💚, I still prefer 11 ultra in this comparison it looks way better to me, and I wanna share a fantastic idea when it comes to macro photography with a nice bokeh, I dare say mi 11 ultra does amazing job and I have no idea how it can possible! But u must do it just by main camera not macro mode, the all u need to do is turn on the enhance image quality in setting in good light condition and zoom it to a level befor 5x for example 4.9 or less with about 10 cm distance of subject to get focus and press the shutter button then wait to Xiaomi algorithm prosses the photo u will be shocked!!! The details are amazing! It seems the picture is not a crop of main lens Maybe it's using the periscope lens even in less than 5x!

I liked 13 ultra pics until I saw this comparison and the superirity in details of mi 11 ultra. 😢😢😢

DXO mark still rank the mi 11 ultra ahead of the 13 pro so I think mi 11 is the best and I'm proud of it.

Mi 13 pro IS much better for photography.With the Gcam mod we can make the most of the lenses on offer. The imx 989 is just amazing and the telelens Jn1 with its floating lens is really amazing. I expected poor results with this sensor for both the ultrawide and the telelens. And not all expectations I have very clean results and much better than on stock camera On the other hand, to go back to the Camera stock . The macro is just dazzling. And the portraits proposed by the telelens are very stylized. There is not enough talk about this floating lens. In fact the mi 11 ultra is just better for the zoom because it has an additional telelens. But hardware issue and with a snapdragon 8 gen 2 ( the mi 11 ultra uses the 888 that heats up a lot with the Gcam ) you have to be blind and not know much to say that the Mi11 ultra is better than the mi13 pro . for me, there is no debate, the mi 13 pro has better abilities in photography. And DXO mark doesn’t know much about photography. FF , xmls creator for Agc Gcam mod, Sgcam and LMC

overall, night mode is MUCH BETTER IN MI 11 ULTRA. THE VIDEOS, TOO

I'm using Xiaomi 13 Pro,and it's very disappointing most of the time , something I felt that buying a budget phone was a better deal.
