    Reminder Rex was around 15 and came from a very wholesome and welcoming easy going positive hometown. As he grew and met new people with different ideals he was changed and from then to how old he seems to be now (mid 20s to early 30s) his outlook could have changed even more as he matured physically and mentally. So saying heartless machine to Alvis isn't out there. Him knowing thanks to the architect that the aegis ARE information processing units

    I don't dispute that Rex would have the relevant knowledge to make this comment and I'm sure he has changed since we saw him last but even so, knowing the context of the world and again, being incredibly empathetic to an Aegis that was trying to destroy everything. @@JBspherefreak I think, if the audio isn't different, maybe he knows this ISN'T the person or entity who is truly behind the body of Alvis? I mean we don't see Alvis' face, we see the area where his face is with his eyes and other features but not clearly, it's all shadowed over by the light erupting behind him. Maybe this is something similar to the false, robo queens? I dunno, I still think Rex wouldn't say something like that normally but maybe as he got older in the new world he had less and less threats against him and his loved ones that could be talked to or even seen as people? Maybe it's a byproduct of him simply needing to be stronger as Pyra and Mythra lost their godlike power as a byproduct of them wanting to be able to die with someone they love? Maybe Adam was just a dick sometimes and it's just genetic, I dunno, it's all speculation but I'm sure there's something going on that'll explain it

    I'd...honestly disagree with him having all that much humanity. Everything he did in Xenoblade 1 was in service of the conclusion that Zanza was becoming a liability to the created world, and even then he never disobeyed a direct command once, only resorting to workarounds that his creator/user wouldn't notice. He's willingly allowed for the sacrifice of countless people over the eons by inaction. Even after successfully replacing his active user he seemed like he would be fine with whatever Shulk wanted to do, he only chucked out some ideas because he was pressed for time. He basically manipulated Shulk starting from the first dream in the cave and shows no remorse for anything he's done and not done throughout Bionis' history, all while having lied to the high-entia for eons. Since Shulk has renounced control over him Alvis doesn't actually have much of a cause to do anything constructive these days. Hell, assuming what they're angry at him for relates to the main story of Xenoblade 3 in some way, moebius is actually fully in accordance to the will of the people.

  • @EccentricSandal
    @EccentricSandal Жыл бұрын

    I STRONGLY believe this is Alvis and he's not being controlled. It's VERY lengthy, but let me explain, as I legitimately think it is the best explanation for this DLC: It was established in XB2 that the personalities of the Aegises are influenced by the personality of their driver when they are first resonated. Malos' entire character struggle revolves around this due to his impulses caused by Amalthus. To this day, we STILL don't know who resonated with Alvis to awaken him. It would be incredibly weird if he just randomly managed to wake himself up without ever needing a driver given the rules established by Klaus. I believe Klaus is Alvis' driver, and Alvis is the first Aegis. Klaus attempted to resonate with Alvis as a test run, which in turn caused the space-time transition event. Think about it. Klaus and Zanza are the same person, but because Zanza and Klaus exist as separate entities interlinked between two dimensions, who is technically Alvis' driver? I believe the space-time transition event was a malfunction in the system because the rules were technically broken here. Alvis has the personality he does because he was resonated with Klaus prior to Rex's existence, meaning, that Klaus still had a pessimistic view of the world. Before Rex, Klaus believed that if the world were destroyed a second time, "it was fated to happen. It cannot but happen." So why is Alvis so much stronger than Mythra and Malos then? Klaus, being Alvis' driver, has direct control of the Conduit. Alvis is more attuned to the Conduit's power, meaning that he likely still had strong resonance with the remnants of the Conduit's power as it was fading away when the XB1 and 2 worlds began to merge. ALSO... NONE of this discredits or retcons Alvis granting Shulk his wish at the end of Xenoblade 1. At the end of Xenoblade 1, Shulk became the new God right? Shulk wished for the future to be decided "by each and every person in the world." Hmm... interesting.... Z, who is the LITERAL personification of the collective unconscious for "each and every person" inside of Origin, just so happens to exist somehow... but how? It's established indirectly that Origin is essentially a temporary replication of the Conduit's power in the form of a universal backup hard drive. It's not out of the question that the similarities in power between Origin and the Conduit would allow Alvis easy access to Origin. MY THEORY: Alvis, using his perspective and impulses established by the pessimistic views of his driver Klaus, grants Shulk his wish of having the future be decided by each and every person in the world by taking control of Origin and creating Z. "I am Monado. I was here at the beginning, and I will proclaim THE END"

  • @JBspherefreak

    @JBspherefreak

    Жыл бұрын

    It's an interesting Theory but there are some holes in it. Firstly, what you would be implying is that Alvis killed his own Driver which isn't impossible but would go against his will. The Aegises are also special in that they were initially AI's in the Trinity Processor and spent a lot of time in memory space living out virtual lives to create their personalities (Siren Model Kit Lore). With that, Aegises personalities, whilst influenced by their drivers are not completely overwritten. The main reason that Malos turned out as he did is that Amalthus' rage was so strong. As for who awakened Alvis....well, no-one. It was stated that Ontos triggered a space-time transition event and dipped, thats it and it would be possible for him to do this as a processor because of his AI as well as being plugged in to the conduit (I'll drop some juicy lore about Alvis in a min). Alvis is also basically the Conduit. The Conduit is effectively a gateway to the Upper Domain and Alvis acts as one also as it's believed his consciousness lies there due to who he is based on and what he can do. Alvis calls himself Monado BUT that isn't what Monados actually are. Monads in Gnosticm and Leibniz's Philosophy (Which is what Xenoblade is inspired by) are unique to each and every individual. Each person has a Monad but they must find it within themselves. In the context of Xenoblade, each person has their own Monado (Zanza's and Meyneths Monado for example) and these are unique to themselves. Alvis is based on a specific character from a specific branch of Valentinian Gnosticism known as "The Christ" (On a similar note, Shulk is based on the Messiah). He acts kind of like a terminal to the Upper Domain where he interacts with the fabric of reality, similar to the Conduit. There are differences between Alvis & Aegises also. Pneuma for instance does have 3 swords but she crafts & wields them herself (which are manifested from her own Monad (Pyra, Mythra both have their own Monads and merging them together creates another)). Alvis on the other hand never wields his own Monad, instead crafting them from others which is what he did for Zanza and Meyneth. Hope this clarifies things 😊

    @@JBspherefreak You say "Upper Domain" as like it would have been established already , that the Conduit would be some Gateway to 5th Dimensional or Wave Existence planes , but it isnt established yet. In Xenoblade Lore we only know for a fact that the Conduit is a Gate to the parallel universes / distant dimensions. Plus it gets abused as Energy Source ... Nothing more , nothing less. So far at least. I found that EccentricSandal had a interesting take so i want to join in on this convo. "Alvis + Z" - Alpha and Omega , "I was here at the beginning, and I will proclaim THE END" It would make sense for Alvis to force itself into the plot and bend it to ensure that everything happens so it can unfold as it did in the Main Plot of XC3. It is defo consistent with Shulks wish. And Origin is somewhat of a huge Space Time backup Hard Drive , and Space Time are pretty much powers that Alvis governs. "Alvis is also basically the Conduit" + "Alvis acts as one" - I assume you refer to the wave existence from Xenogears , not yet explained and established in Xenoblade. But i do agree. He himself refers to himself as the Administrative Computer of a Phase Transition Experiment Facility in the XC1/DE ending , and in XC2 Klaus says that Ontos triggered a Space-Time Transition Event , so this lines up , he defo seems to have had that Authority to do so. Hell he might even be the cause for the Rifts and the Black Fog in the first place. "I am Monado. I was here at the beginning, and I will proclaim THE END" - If Zanza was Alvis Driver it would completely make sense that Alvis has the Red Original Monado , because it was originally his and Zanza just borrowed it , kinda . Plus it does not contradict with Alvis being leveled up to a not established wave existence , but i suppose he can be both as long as he is connected to the Conduit and has a medium. "Monads in Gnosticm" + The Original title of Xenoblade was "Monado: Beginning of the World" - Alvis , Zanza , Meyneth , Shulk , .... dont forget Malos. Shulk is the only one of them from who we know that he found his own Monado within himself. Pyra / Mythra / Pneuma where never referenced as Monado. So just being an Aegis (trinity processor unit) does not equal to being a Monado. My point is Xenoblade does not necessarily use the word Monado the same way as what it is inspired by. By your logic , you could also argue that Monado just means Blade in Xenoblade Lore , because all the Blades can summon their own Weapons. Or alternatively every Person with Aptitude can summon a Monado / Blade. But in XC1 it is established that a Monado can change the very fabric of existence / creation. But XC2 dosnt use it like that at all. And XC3 named the Swords Sword of Origin and Sword of the End , you see Noah/Mio Ouroboros Form pulling them out of themselves tho. But otherwise the Noahs just carry it normally within a scabbard. How does that fit into the whole mess ? "Alvis on the other hand never wields his own Monad" - But he does , if Zanzas Monado is just the one that originates from Alvis then Alvis wields it when he teaches Shulk how to defeat Telephia. Which should be imposible if Alvis isnt the Monado , remember every person not directly chosen by it , will suffer pain , just look at Dunban.

    To correct a misconception that I've seen pop-up: The classic Momado I is more-or-less Alvis's "Blade"; Zanza and Shulk were only using it his "Driver". They and Meyneth all get their own Monados; specifically, in the climactic scene, Zanza and Meyneth 's Monados connect to Shulk's Replica to create his True Monado.

  • @JBspherefreak

    @JBspherefreak

    Жыл бұрын

    This is incorrect. Monados are unique to each and every person. In theory, every single being in the Xenoblade universe has the potential to awaken their own Monado (Actually being able to do it tho is a completely different matter). The Monado Alvis wielded should be unique to Zanza (It's possible that this is Alvis' own Monado that looks identical to Zanza's but I find this unlikely). Monado's are based on the Gnsotic & Leibniz's concept of Monads which are unique to each every being. Everyone has one but they have to find it within themselves. Because each Monad is unique to its own person, it is feesibly impossible for another to utilse someone elses Monad. There are also different Tiers of Monads but explaining that would require a whole video on its own which I intend to make soon. Again Saying that "Shulk is alvis's driver" can be disproven easily by mentioning that Zanza and Meyneth have Monados too. If Alvis was being used this way, then that would mean that he has multiple Drivers which is simply impossible for a blade. Hope this clarifies things 😊

    Alvis is more machine than Malos or Pyra/Mythra ever were. Malos and Pyra/Mythra gained humanity from being drivers of humans and from accruing all the data from core crystals on Alrest for untold number of years. Alvis went into a different dimension and maintained his original programming from his time at Radamanthus. It makes perfect sense why Rex would consider Alvis just a machine, because Alvis himself considers himself a computer, not a human.

Go watch the original trailers and see how much audio meshes with the video. Also, the land they show is immediately identifiable as Gauer Plains, straight out of XC1. It's not even ruins. This leads me to believe the game takes place AFTER the origin reboot and is a Sequel.

    I was kinda thinking this could be an epilogue since Shulk and Rex aren’t injured here since maybe they’d have those injuries in Aionios but not the real world? And I thought it was for sure the real world when we saw Bionis’ Leg but you’re right, we don’t see any of the overhanging hills that should be there. So maybe it is actually a prequel 😭😭 they just want us as depressed as possible. I’m still hopeful they’ll have a cute ending scene with everyone in the real world later though after the worlds merge correctly. I’ll try not to expect it though 😪 Hey maybe they’ll have successfully merged the worlds together in a timeskip cutscene at the end and everyone is hugging and having a good time. Right? Right…?

Maybe "Alvis" Killed his wives Pyra and Mythra and the one he is holding now is just his blade just look at it it's different (maybe he retrieved the remaining of his wives and became blade eater).. but when Nia project Pyra and Mythra blade in Hero form is still the old ones.. Rex is the type that held grudge and gets so emotional when Pyra and Mythra in danger.. He straight up goes so full wrath when Pyra is Injured in XC2.. Why not doing it to at XC3? getting Angry at Alvis because he's hurt/kill his wives seems in character..

    Alvis doesn't really have a personality outside of the trinity processor AI, though. He's always acted the part of a computer obeying commands, at best occasionally asking for clarification as to what an authorized user wanted or offering suggestions. He's never really shown to have felt remorse over the shit he's done or allowed to happen. The other two cores became Blades, which are explicitly meant to imitate and analyze the human heart for Klaus' sake. They were repurposed as something more than they were created for. Alvis was never anything other than an omnipotent tool to enable his users' wishes. He's never expressed a hint of guilt, or morality, or even compassion, just questions and answers. "He's acting more like a computer" implies he wasn't literally just a computer from start to finish.

    Right and wrong... Alvis calls himself Monado BUT that isn't what Monados actually are. As I'm sure your aware, Monads in Gnosticm and Leibniz's Philosophy are unique to each and every individual. Less so confirmed, more so heavily implied and actually realistic. Based on the short 20 seconds of footage we got, we see both an older Aionios and this guy standing on Raguel Bridge. It's therefore heavily implied that this is earlier in Aionios and thus the Founder Vandham over Noah. This is then further supported through his gloves being completely different to Noah's Gauntlet (Might need to compare side by side to see the differences tho). The problem at the moment is that there is good VALID evidence to support this being a prequel whereas there isn't any for it being a sequel. Thats only as we stand right now and even with that evidence, it isn't guarenteed but personally, theres a much higher chance of this being a prequel then a sequel (Also, as I said in the video, if you look at the terrain shown, it is completely different to the Bionis Leg)

Secondly the whole "hes a heartless machine" doesn't really sound like rex to me, I've played the clip over and over and I'm not really seeing a correlation with the voice which to me means one of two things. It's either a brand new character all together which is likely or someone else we know, as for who your guess is as good as mine, but if I had to pick one I'd say maybe othoron? @@JBspherefreak You would assume someone like Alvis, who may very well be the strongest being in the Xenoblade universe wouldn't be so easily controlled by something that should be weaker than him. And If is Alvis somehow is powered by the conduit or something of similar power, there ain't no way Origin or Z can do anything to him, so i honestly believe he's acting on his own or following somekind of pre-establised command... or maybe a being of a higher plane of existence is controlling him, that would be a good way to set up the next saga of Xenoblade imo.

    Alvis IS the Monado, though. The 3 Monado swords belong to him the same way Pneuma has 3 swords. When Alvis takes on his true form the 3 Monados combine and Alvis says "I am Monado." Monado is the Japanese pronunciation of Monad, which is the highest god in Gnosticism. I believe that Monado is Xenoblade's equivalent of the Wave Existence or UDO from XG and XS and it chose Ontos as its avatar in the lower universes.

  • @JBspherefreak

    @JBspherefreak

    Жыл бұрын

    Right and wrong... Yes, Alvis calls himself Monado BUT that isn't what Monados actually are. As I'm sure your aware, Monads in Gnosticm and Leibniz's Philosophy are unique to each and every individual. There are differences with Pneuma & Alvis also. Yes, she does have 3 swords but she crafts & wields them herself (which are manifested from her own Monad (Pyra, Mythra both have their own Monads and merging them together creates another)). Alvis on the other hand never wields his own Monad, instead crafting them from others which is what he did for Zanza and Meyneth. Hope this clarifies things 😊

    Not at present because it is possible that the cinematic of Aionios isn’t the world we’ll be playing in but all of the evidence (Rex & Shulk being uninjured, Aionios being shown and a man who almost certainly resembles the Founder of Vandham (Including what we know in the lore about him) leads me to conclude that this will be a prequel or at least start out as one. There’s always a chance that everything we saw might just be an opening cutscene and the rest of the game takes place after Aionios but yea

  • @craigmarshall1980

    Right let's put some of this stuff to bed. This is just as likely a sequel as it is a prequel. Why? Because of origin. Nia says at the end of the game "I will see you soon" to rex and we know origin is holding the data and memories of everyone and listen I don't know why everyone is dead set on "this can't be alvis" Here is what I think has happened 1. Alvis said he was there at the beginning and he will proclaim the end" 2. At the end of 1 shulk asked alvis to create a world where everyone could decide there future. These two things are important. So how does it all work. Well noah and the team succeeded and defeated mobious. As the world resets alvis realises that the world has been pulled out of the endless now "which is what everyone wished for" As shulk and rex emerge from origin alvis returns to now proclaim the end as a result of the world moving away from what people decided Rex and shulk fight him. The other person is a new character and probably a distant relative of noah who was a founder and is now reborn with the others (don't forget we know noah is only a child again at the end of three so it can't be him) This third person will wield lucky 7 to complete the three swords It will end with the death of alvis bringing an end to the link to klaus and ending the klaus saga Alvis then proclaims the end

    This isn't "just as likely" to be a sequel as a prequel, it isn't even close 😂 I am team sequel all the way because I think it would have been better for the game but based on the evidence we saw, it is heavily implied to be a prequel over a sequel (But that is based on what we saw which is only 20 seconds so there is still a chance for a sequel, I won't deny) Your argument of "Because of Origin" doesn't really hold up either. Yea, Origin could have returned them to that moment in time before and re-created Shulk & Rex as we see them there but thats not really whats in dispute. I don't deny based on the Alvis section alone that this trailer could go either way, its based on the clip of Aionios and Fei Fong Wong that leans is heavily into the prequel side of things. Nia's comment is also irrelevant as she also states "one day, we'll surely meet again" as in one day in the future and not 5 mins from now. If the worlds merged instantaneously, then maybe but we see the end of Xenoblade 3 with no Agnians in sight so that doesn't really work or mean anything either. In terms of this not being Alvis, thats not really where the issue is. This very well could be Alvis himself but making him the antagonist of this FINAL DLC for the Klaus Saga would be a VERY bad move by Monolithsoft (To the point where people I know would consider ditching the franchise all together). Why? This would go against Alvis' entire character from Xenoblade 1. All of his development and everything he did in Xenoblade 1 would all go to waste for what reason? I've seen people try to create reasonable explanations and theories to justify the means of him doing it but that still hasn't prevented him from becoming a huge contradiction thus far. We're largely on Copium that this isn't Alvis because it could quite simply ruin everything built up thus far. As for your idea, this is what I was talking about before with the same issue over and over again. Alvis shall proclaim the end and Shulk did wish for a world with no gods (where they themselves can decide the future) and its here that the MAJOR contradiction arises. Moebius doesn't allow people to decide the future because there is no future. Even if it was everyones wish (Which it wasn't that is simply how Z (Likely a computer AI) understood this human emotion), it still wouldn't be valid anyway because that is subconsciouss and ALL of the people then decided to move forward at the end of XC3 anyway. If the future is decided by everyone, then it will continue to be because thats what occuring at the end. This whole logic and statement falls and collapses in on itself ya see I feel like for a lot of this, we can go round and round in circles because it is based on ones interpretation of the trailer. I also will not dispute that this DLC may be a sequel because it is possible but I do think its necessary to not close your eyes to whats in front of you when it definetly implies in the later scenes to be a prequel. If you can find me any evidence to suggest that this isn't a prequel in those two scenes (Primarily a reason why the area isn't Aionios or why Aionios would still exist during a sequel), then I'm all ears but I don't think it can be disputed that it currently leans far more into being a prequel

    @@JBspherefreak everything you have just said (and it was a lot) Are assumptions and I mean everything. You have watched a 22 second trailer and gone "it's a prequel" I have decided its a sequel. Let's be frank unless you are part of monolift you know no more then I do. And let's be really clear here., xenoblade creates love to throw you off with misdirection Let me give you two examples. In xenoblade chronicles 3 trailer lanze says "I refuse to believe your him" while it looks like he is fighting noah. When really in the game its joran. In xenoblade chronicles 2 the creator said it had nothing to do with the first one and it was. So you cannot take anything for granted. For me I still believe it's a sequel and honestly I'm totally gobsmacked at two things you have said The first one being about origin. It's like you have totally missed the point of the fact origin is designed to bring people back to life. Its what it's designed to do and what powers the endless now and what it job is after the collision oftbe worlds . The second thing is alvis. When you talk about his progression? He was neutral he did Puck sides he completed his programming which in the end saw him turn against klaus. This is what's happening here to me Look your entitled to your opinion but this is mine

    Allow me clarify when I stated the word "Argument", I did not mean it with any hostility (like the word is usually used). I was implying it more in the sense of a devate where both sides have their own argument. Apologies for the second conclusion. Also, you are absolutely entitled to your opinion and that is something I attempt to encourage on the channel. You have not stated anything outright incorrect (in terms of the Lore and such anyway) so I'm not even trying to correct you. I am merely providing you with the evidence and answers I have been drawn to which have lead me to conclude that it isn't a prequel (Feel free to do the same). My issue stands at present that personally, I can relatively simply shut down the Sequel idea due to Clip of Aionios and Fei but there has been nothing to contradict the idea of a Prequel thus far. You get what I'm saying? It could still go either way but based on the evidence we have at present and I emphasise "Based on that evidence alone", I am as much as 90% certain that this will be a prequel. Does that mean I'm right? Absolutely not but with that evidence, thats the conclusion I arrive at. I still believe there is a chance for a sequel, I really do but I just don't see it happening with what was shown thus far. Hopefully the next trailer brings us some more clarity soon 👍 You are absolutely right with Monolith throwing us curve balls though. I wouldn't really use your first example but your bang on with Takahashi originally saying XC2 has nothing to do with XC1 so it is very possible that this is a mis-direct (which I'm fine falling for. I still want a sequel so if anything, that would be a good thing) When it comes to Origin, I also find it important to understand that it has limitations. Yes, Origin can create people based on the Data it has stored inside but if it could return everyone, then it would at all times. More people = more life = Longer Aionios. My issue was simply that this Origin scene alone doesn't do enough to justify a Sequel (but it is neutral in that it does nothing for a prequel either). In terms of Alvis, again, I believe it comes down to everyones own interpretation of him but I personally feel this would contradict his character. (Tho it not being Alvis remains as Copium)

Star Wars prequels is one of the few that ACTUALLY mattered and was genuinely executed well. Something being flawed doesn’t mean something isn’t effective long term wise. XC2 prequel played well but geez did I not give af about the story. It wasn’t very impactful because not only did I know how things would play out but it didn’t do enough to provide any decent clarity to the post game of XC2.
