Can0fpepsi This time they may the xbox itself not affected but the power box itself so basically the box maybe interfering with power like thundering or black out or the box just need a reset which you only need to do is unplug everything from the power box so unplug the plug in wall,the box itself, and the xbox and then wait two minutes and then it should be back and ready to do its duty

If it blinks you might need a power brick and if its solid then something might be wrong with ur xbox

Similar thing happened to mine, it turned out that the touch sensor ribbon was completely gone, so I removed it, used the controller to start the Xbox and it worked. Hope that works.

Same problem for me. Every few months it just decides to not work. But mine also won't connect to a wireless controller

This is because the first 3 capacitors in the power supply are shorted. You can replace them for a couple of dollars each or just buy a new power supply.

The problem is the power supply. If you bought it from a third party seller then they always overheat or stop working after a while. You just have to buy a new power supply.

If anyone is still having problems with this it's a easy fix unplug the box the power cable and the cords connect the the outlets from the Xbox for 2 minutes it's will reset its self and then plug and it back in and it should work

If you're still having this problem I literally just fixed mine all I did was clean the top of the xbox and pressed the power button twice quick and it turned on

Check on start up and power up and under that youll see options put it on instant power not energy save but you need to also see the right side check the boxes that apply to you only if theyre all checked and your xbox cant do those things then youll be having problems you can put it on energy save but idk i like instant on

The best way to "PREVENT" this from happening, is to use a surge protector as your native power strip. My power brick just recently fried after a power surge/blackout and I'm forced to buy a new one off Amazon, there's not much eles you can do. This can happen to the Xbox one s, xb1 x, and all Playstation units aswell.(with their internal power supplys) They need to have a surge protector included with all consoles, the life span of a power supply is actually quite long depending on how your setup is. I feel like alot of people are quite literally destroying their power supplys because of somthing that they didn't even know they had to worry about. Having a surge protector pretty much guarantees, that your console and power supply are safe. I just wish I knew this two weeks ago.

I use my 360 slim brick has the little fans in them u can cut that little tip in the middle on the 360 brick that plugs in the console then slowly spread the little metal peace on the 360 plug in thing that goes in the back works like new

Vaccum the system and the power brick worked for me. Vacuum every single vent

Regular power cord will work greatly the SAME you use FOR the ps2 with a few modifications, the power brick cord is NOT needed... find one that's the SAME as ps2 power cord... VERY cheap in PRICE.

i never touched anything and it makes noise like it turning on but dont turn on like MICROSOFT FIX IT

Mine was yesterday, there was a storm I played during the storm but turned it off to avoid a power surge. Left it off for about 4 days now to play gtao now this bs

I know it's been quite a while but I've found a fix that's worked for my xbox twice, your controller has to be connected to your xbox. You take everything that's plugged into the xbox out and leave the power cable in then leave it there for like 10 seconds and hold down the power button on the controller. Worked for me twice :)

try another power brick... one you know works. try a power on with sync eject and power for 10 seconds to try safe mode... if no luck send it to MS... it's probably a South Bridge chip problem... could try the heat gun trick like the 360 fix if it's out of grantee...and you are thinking of chucking it anyway!

I'm having a similar issue would love to know how to fix. some fault is making the power brick trip (this is a safety feature by trippin the power brick it prevents any damage to the console) and by you unplugging both ends for a short while the resets the power brick that is the reason when you plug it back in it will start up but then after a while mine shuts down again so I need to find out why it's tripping the power brick

Mine just had a power snafu it seems, the white light comes on but doesn't seem to power up. Just came home with Fractured but Whole, so bummed

my xbox was doing the same thing and I tried unplugging everything so the brick would reset and got nothing. so right before I started throwing stuff in rage I noticed that ever time I was plugging the power cord in the wall it sparked so I turned the cord over and plugged it in the opposite way and my xbox one came back on. I didn't think it made a difference which way u turned the power cord to plugged in the outlet but it worked for me.

So here's what you do Step 1. unplug the cord from the wall and then the cord from the brick and the other cord from the back of the console Step 2. unplug the HDMI cable Step 3. leave it unplugged over night 12 night - 10:20 morning Step 4. in the morning plug everything back in then either put a game in or take one out by hitting the eject

This video is old, but to anyone out there with an Xbox One with power issues similar to my own. My Xbox One (purchased release day) suddenly wouldn't power on. I'd press the button and you'd hear half the noise, but it wouldn't ever power on. Relentless unplugging and waiting to the same results. I couldn't tell if it was the console or the power supply as the power adapter light stayed solid orange and never changed. I read apart of the Xbox Help page suggesting to remove any surge protectors or power strips in between the console and the wall outlet. I unplugged my console from the cheap power strip I was using, low and fucking behold, the damn console was alive! Was this close to pulling the trigger on another power supply... glad I didn't.

My issue came back, however I'd fully recommend taking out any potential bad links in your power connection. One thing worth note is removing ANY and ALL USB devices from your Xbox before attempting to turn it back on. That includes wired Xbox controllers, chargers, power banks, etc. I had a battery power bank that attached to the left side of my console for the last 2 years, that could have been the cause for all of my issues. I've since removed it and my console is working just like normal again. As soon as I plug it or any wired Xbox controller into the left side USB port, my console goes back to not turning on.

Mine is all of a sudden doing the half beep but not turning on. No light on the front of anything, brick stays orange, etc. However, I'm not plugged into a surge protector/power strip. But I do have a USB that connects to my external hard drive. I wonder if that could be it

Mine makes the power on sound for 1 sec then doesn't come on Edit: I have to unplug my flash drive then put it back in after my power box turns on

It’s 9 in the mourning and I stoped playing last night at 10 and my console shutdowns when I turn it off and so now it’s not turning on the same reason we’re all having.(shouldn’t have overheated but seems like it did) Not as bad as red rings but what a poor console they built to last till the Xbox series X.

If you have your Xbox one power mode energy saving when you turn your Xbox off the power Brick is orange if you have your Xbox one power mode on instant on when you turn it off the power brick should be white

Look at this comment u have to get a HDMI cord and plug it into the Xbox and tv and the only way to turn ur Xbox on is it hold the middle button on ur controller
