It's not only coming on Xbox, but also free on Gamepass so pretty much anyone can play it.

I'm so excited for this but the crowd reactions to each one with just a bit of them cheering for p3 and p4 but a large audience for 5 had me chuckling Edit: while I rewatched this I heard someone say during p3's segment that they wish p5 is coming, completely disregarding p3 lol

This was the best part of the show. Love persona franchise so much!

@@UltraCasualPenguin yeah it's not for the faint of heart. You spend so much time in the game that you start to think the characters are real people. Your real life relationships start to suffer as you dive further and further into the game world. Before you know it, you spend all your free time meticulously researching the exact dates your friends are available and when the best time to hang out with them are. For example, my best bud Kanji is only available on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Never on rainy days. On the night of 10/6, we talked about fabric. He loves fabric, almost as much as he loves his penguins. Maybe he'll love me like that one day 😳Anyways uhhh (what are cultish things). Oh yeah. You befriend demons and force them to fight other demons. These gnarly creatures resemble phallic objects and unclothed women. Theres this kind gentleman with a long nose who slaughters them brutally all for your sake. He creates stronger demons for you to continue your crusade on hostile TV beings. His sometimes hot assistant charges exorbitant fees as she keeps your foul demons hostage. You then have to contribute to society by folding paper cranes in order to pay it all off and get them back. Anyways you kill God or something somewhere in there. So it's a little culty, but you grow to love it

@@SgtTankDempsey I suppose you're right but as things stand the only way the get Persona 3 FES at the moment is to buy a physical copy or from the PS3 Store. Hopefully if a definitive edition can't be made perhaps we can get P3:FES on PS+ Premium.

@@GenerationZ313 It seems like the xbox P3P is gonna be an upscale of the PSvita version, and combined with the fact they didn't do something like a definitive mix between portable & fes, I hope they do a remaster/rerelease of some sort this year. Its 25th anniversary and a remake with p5's graphics or a remaster that combines the good in both versions of p3 would do well, especially now that persona is on most consoles

The definitive edition is P3 Portable. P3 FES came before Portable. Portable made dungeons easier to navigate and the RNG bullshit from your teammates are no more. You can control your party members in P3 Portable unlike FES.

@@steven310250 yes but Portable doesn't have The Answer (even if it sucks, it is canon) as well as a handful of cutscenes or 3d navigation in the overworld. I think the game would benefit if they merged the bonus story + visuals of fes with the quality of life and improvements protable made

I expected a way better reaction. This makes me a bit worried, I hope they sell well because the series deserves it, they're awesome games, and also because otherwise they won't put more of these games on Xbox or PC if they don't.

@@AGESRingsGame Pass is certainly an oddity in gaming, on one hand it helps games gain greater exposure but on the other hand if you finish the game on game pass like I do then the developers don't get any money like People Can Fly when Outriders was made for the system and Square Enix was made a deal to let the game be made on Game Pass day 1.

Well persona 4 golden apparently sold very well on steam when it came out, so I don't doubt that 3 and 5(especially 5) will be extremely popular on both pc and xbox

Well im not a massive SMT fan (nocturne isn't really my thing) but i'm a big persona fan. This announement means that porting SMT games to newer consoles and PC isn't exactly out of the question so hopefully you can get some ports of SMT games you like.

Soul Hackers 2 is launching on Xbox too, it's an SMT game (though its technically a spinoff too, still far closer to mainline than persona)

Glad to see more people will experience P5R. One of the best RPGs in the last 10 years.

Ever since Joker came to smash bros, I've been dying to play Persona 5, but I didn't have a PS4 for it. Glad to know that I can finally see what all the hype is about.

I was at that event and cried when they announced this. For your information, I was the one who yell "Ohhhhhh" mostly. What an announcement and Never seen that coming!

Literally the most exciting news I heard this summer fest event thingy. The second one is tlou remake coming to pc. As non playstation player, this is a very win for me. (I love playstation btw, I just don't have the money to buy it)

The reaction to P4G got me ngl, everyone was like "oh wow, another p4 release, how surprising" and then 5 seconds later p5 just fucking breaks the audience

P3 P4: Eh.... P5R: YESSS Now imagine if P2 or something came up, they're probably gonna roar

I am really glad that Xbox players will be able to play Persona, especially P5R, Its masterpiece.
