Usually when cameo appearances happen... that is a hint/secret that the character will soon appear in some episodes within the season or next season. Remember when morph turned into spiral and then she appeared with mojo. Cameo appearances are basically suspense, hype, and excitement for characters who are going to appear. This is why morph shifted into quicksilver!

The vast improvement of Jean Grey power wise is exemplary compared to the original!! Jean attempted a similar stunt in Days of Future Past pt 2 and it was “too heavy.” Here, she’s able to collect the building and the debris and chuck it in the ocean and recollect herself to battle Prime Sentinel Trask! She ate that!

Rogue and Gambit were not dating in the series. They were implied to be in love, and had a platonic bond, but were not boyfriend and girlfriend, so there was no commitment from either side whatsoever. Is anyone as pleased with this continuation as me. Cyclops blasting at full power. Rogue was in full power looking for Trask. Jean Gray is finally at level 5 omega status as she should have always been and without the pheonix. Storm using full potential in the last episode. Seeing so many Cameos. Cable finally saying Dad to Cyclops lol. Morph turning into so many of the mutants we love and being able to imitate there powers. Plus the dialogue is great. I am thoroughly pleased with xmen 97.

​@@kailevil3444such dumb assumptions. First off, fainting Jean wasn't due to the character itself. It was a conscious decision of the original showrunners to turn her into a damsel in distress. She was always the X-Men's powerhouse and the original omega. The showrunners now are improving on many things from the original and adding things which were not there in the 90s such as Magneto and Storm getting promoted to omega level. Second, Madelyne is dead. Didn't you hear what Cable said to Jean in this episode after she had probed his mind? He said, "You're not her".

Pacing is off. They are squeezing what should be entire season arcs of comic story into one episode. It’s got the veneer of the classic show but not the control of story or heart. Core characters (Wolverine/Beast) are largely regulated to side characters/ignored or comedy (Wolverine ) when they should be given more serious arcs and attention. Also the lead producer Beau De Mayo was fire for some “questionable” life choices by Disney. And Disney doesn’t fire people of his lifestyle given their politics of the last decade. The neat thing with the classic show is that each core character got a “solo” story to flesh them out. They haven’t done that here well yet barring Storm vs the adversary (which was rushed).

0:14 As much as anyone would have done so, what Rogue did was rather shortsighted which was only driven by personal grudge. Not judging here, I'm just saying that it could have been handled better so that fiasco of a fight with the Sentinel Trask could have gone better for the X-Men, had Cable not arrived it would have killed the entire team.
