Nicole is an absolute pro. Her job is to set the bar, the standard the benchmark and it's up to the contestants to rise up to it and that's what Sam did. You can't expect her to be as good as Nicole who sings for a living. It's about seeing how close she can get and Sam did an amazing job. A random dude is never gonna jump on a 100m track and expect to run side by side with bolt in a race, but it's great to see a narrow gap. Sam did amazing singing side by side with Nicole the way she did and hold her own and the harmonies together were just beautiful. In my book, Sam's easily One of the best winners of all time!

I Love Nicole's voice, she's so underrated! The only problem about Nicole singing with a contestant on the X-Factor show with any contestant in the finals, she outshines & drowns out the contestants out! If you watched Nicole sing with Matt Terry the song "Purple Rain," on X Factor UK 2016, she was the star & you could hardly hear Matt's vocals!

I agree. BU, Sam did a hell of a job keeping up and of all contestants to duet with Nicole, she gave the closest run at it. Nicole has the experience to still outshine here, but for an up and comer who never performed live, Sam did a hell of a job.

JUST look at their faces at 4:22. Those are faces of women who know exactly what they’re doing and know just how good they are. They know they’re completely slaying the whole arena with their vocals, heck my headphones are vibrating from those high notes! It’s literally the best duet I’ve seen on TV and it’s unsurpassable! No amount of applause/cheering or anything really will be enough to this performance the credit it deserves. It’s been almost a decade and nothing has comes close to beating this!

How stunning this duet was, two brilliant vocalists who didnt have to hold back for the other, both able to utterly let rip together and produce something that deserves to be in the top list for best female duet of all time. Sam, the underdog, won. The underestimated her. She demolished every category she was given. She held her own at 35 proving that age is only a number. Her grace, sweetness, and sincerity was heard in every lyric, melody and song. Nicole has always stolen the show. That is just who she is. She is beautiful and talented- a powerful combination. Her competitive spirit does not allow anyone to outshine her. Speaking as a photographer, both inner and outer beauty cannot be hidden or contained. Nicole has embraced hers while Sam is beginning to discover hers. Nichole is a judge who is a seasoned, trained, and established artist. It is unfair to compare them. By doing so, you miss the essence of the show. Both artists sing from the heart and that is what matters. This was a world class performance!!! I was moved to tears.

The best female vocal duet I think I ever heard. They showed everyone a thing a two about true vocal power, range and control. Every 1/4 tone was milked for everything it had! Years of practice accomplishes this coupled with a spiritual epiphany in the moment. Both of them were quivering at the end. Spiritual adrenalin! Kelly and Nicole fully appreciate the spiritual part and aren't afraid to acknowledge it when a contestant moves them.

I have seen this performance over and over this the best duet of two great singers , a year ago i came across sam Bailey on xfactor i loved her right away all her performances were amazing ! BUT this performance with nicole was i have no words phenomenal ? I knew nicole could sing but not like this the range the power wow these two beautiful ladys compliment each other just fine this is the best duet ever ! Congrats ladies

If you are thinking that Nicole outshined Sam, let me tell you that you are wrong. Their voices are not comparable because their voices are different. Let me explain. Nicole Scherzinger's vocal range is considered as SOPRANO (she reaches 3 octaves, 4 notes and 1 semitone), on the other hand, Sam Bailey's vocal range is considered as MEZZO SOPRANO (she reaches 2 octaves and 2 notes). So they have complementary voices. Anyway, this song is awsome because they're both great singers and their voices complemented perfectly. ¡Bravo to both of them!

A Mezzo Soprano simply has a lower range than a true Soprano. How many octaves the range encompasses depends on the singer and on how much practice and training they have had to extend their natural range. While some will go through what actual notes Sam reached, I would say Nicole's voice is obviously higher while Sam's is lower and richer (I would actually call her a Dramatic Soprano). Nichole has also spent more time singing to crowds lately than Sam, who up to this point was a prison officer. I personally am a Soprano and can reach very high notes. But you will not find me on stage, because that's about all I can reach. My voice doesn't do much below middle C and thus I have a rather small range (for a singer) no matter how high it might be.

You know Sam was a singer (contest winner/cruise ship singer for years ) tv just focused and used the prison officer/mom part for ratings, Nicole - musical theatre/opera with Bocelli. My opinion Sam did a great job and I think her performance was elevated due to Nicole bringing her "A" game - it must have been an amazing experience.

Sam Bailey is the best by far singer I've ever heard & there has been some great singers in this competition .Sam's right up there with Celine dion,Whitney Houston, & many more..I could listen to her all day..Nichole brought it home to.she's great as well but this was Sam's night to shine

JUST look at their faces at 4:22. Those are faces of women who know exactly what they’re doing and know just how good they are. They know they’re completely slaying the whole arena with their vocals, heck my headphones are vibrating from those high notes! It’s literally the best duet I’ve seen on TV and it’s unsurpassable! No amount of applause/cheering or anything really will be enough to this performance the credit it deserves. It’s been almost a decade and nothing has comes close to beating this!

Sam Bailey is extraordinary. Nicole is extraordinary. How stunning this duet was, two brilliant vocalists who didnt have to hold back for the other, both able to utterly let rip together and produce something that deserves to be in the top list for best female duet of all time. They are spectacular individually and together.

I didn't think Nicole could actually sing until I saw some of her other X Factor duets. But this...this was the best. DAMN! Nice to have a judge who has the talent to know good singers.

Sam, the underdog, won. The underestimated her. She demolished every category she was given. She held her own at 35 proving that age is only a number. Her grace, sweetness, and sincerity was heard in every lyric, melody and song. Nicole has always stolen the show. That is just who she is. She is beautiful and talented- a powerful combination. Her competitive spirit does not allow anyone to outshine her. Speaking as a photographer, both inner and outer beauty cannot be hidden or contained. Nicole has embraced hers while Sam is beginning to discover hers. Nichole is a judge who is a seasoned, trained, and established artist. It is unfair to compare them. By doing so, you miss the essence of the show. Both artists sing from the heart and that is what matters. This was a world class performance!!! I was moved to tears.

Nicole is so beautiful. Sam has her own beauty and I like that even more. Love them both.
The best female vocal duet I think I ever heard. They showed everyone a thing a two about true vocal power, range and control. Every 1/4 tone was milked for everything it had! Years of practice accomplishes this coupled with a spiritual epiphany in the moment. Both of them were quivering at the end. Spiritual adrenalin! Kelly and Nicole fully appreciate the spiritual part and aren't afraid to acknowledge it when a contestant moves them.

I have seen this performance over and over this the best duet of two great singers , a year ago i came across sam Bailey on xfactor i loved her right away all her performances were amazing ! BUT this performance with nicole was i have no words phenomenal ? If you are thinking that Nicole outshined Sam, let me tell you that you are wrong. Their voices are not comparable because their voices are different. Let me explain. Nicole Scherzinger's vocal range is considered as SOPRANO (she reaches 3 octaves, 4 notes and 1 semitone), on the other hand, Sam Bailey's vocal range is considered as MEZZO SOPRANO (she reaches 2 octaves and 2 notes). So they have complementary voices. Anyway, this song is awsome because they're both great singers and their voices complemented perfectly. ¡Bravo to both of them!

A Mezzo Soprano simply has a lower range than a true Soprano. How many octaves the range encompasses depends on the singer and on how much practice and training they have had to extend their natural range. While some will go through what actual notes Sam reached, I would say Nicole's voice is obviously higher while Sam's is lower and richer (I would actually call her a Dramatic Soprano). Nichole has also spent more time singing to crowds lately than Sam, who up to this point was a prison officer. I personally am a Soprano and can reach very high notes. But you will not find me on stage, because that's about all I can reach. My voice doesn't do much below middle C and thus I have a rather small range (for a singer) no matter how high it might be.

You know Sam was a singer (contest winner/cruise ship singer for years ) tv just focused and used the prison officer/mom part for ratings, Nicole - musical theatre/opera with Bocelli. My opinion Sam did a great job and I think her performance was elevated due to Nicole bringing her "A" game - it must have been an amazing experience.
