You look cool man ❤❤❤
Cool jacket.. 😎
Very nice jacket. I favour the Aviation Leathercaft Tornado jacket for summer, which is also derived from the A2. I sometimes wear an Irvin Sheepskin flying jacket.

@@BulletWanderer I like designer labels. Barbour, Irvin, Aviation Leathercraft, Merlin, Harris Tweed….😂😂😂 all 70 years out of date!
Cool jacket.
Nice one Bud, lovely jacket I don't know if you remind me of Steve McQueen or Freddy Dobs.

I think we have a new front runner for the next Indiana Jones actor here, ladies and gentlemen. The A2 jacket is timeless and has morphed into a fashion statement that most anybody can use. I've moved to textile-based riding jackets with removable liners for most of my riding....the black and loud ass green/yellow ones, so I can be seen! I do have several A2's that I and my wife wore often when out flying in our RV8..if you fly, you gotta have an A2. You get a pilot's license, you better darn well get an A2! It is an unwritten rule that shall not be ignored.

Too kind Brian 😂 The rest of the year I wear textile based riding jackets, with similar loud ass green/yellow lining 😆 Didn't realise you're a pilot! The RV8 looks like a fantastic plane to fly while wearing an A2 😁 I'm jealous!
That is a nice jacket and great back story. Definitely agree with the lack of collars on a lot of leather jackets. Certainly one thing I dislike on my leather one. For a moment I was jealous of your fancy jacket stand until you dismantled it 😂.

Not sure why a lack of collars has become the norm 🤔 Just out of the camera's view was a stack of boxes to prop up the fancy jacket stand... needs must 😂
Pretty cool background on the jackets. I've always loved the looks of them. 😎👍🍻

Thanks David! Thought the history would add a bit of something to the video 😄
Hello Brendan, the look does suit the bike and there’s something about wearing a leather jacket, I used to wear one years ago and I think it’s the smell, feel and look on and off the bike 👌🏻 Oh by the way I couldn’t help noticing that the back protector wasn’t in the centre of the jacket! Sorry that’s my OCD coming out 🤓 Ride Safe Regards, DCT Dave & Butty Bach 🙂

Definitely agree with you there on the smell and feel of a good leather jacket attributing something intangible to the bike 😁 Glad you told me that haha, gonna correct that before I next take it out 😂
Looking good Steve...er I mean Brendan!

Nice jacket. Can I recommend a Goldtop 1958 jacket too. I have one of their other leather jackets and it's incredible.

Thanks for the recommendation! Definitely pulling from the same inspiration of the pilot jackets, that's a really nice jacket Goldtop have! Cheers! 😁
Cracking info. I can recommend the Glove liners they do. About £ 15 but well worth it!

Must take a look at them, cheers 😁
Interesting bit of history there, I enjoyed it. I own one as well as the normal cloth jackets. I find it comfortable to wear but a lot heavier so I don’t use it as often, maybe a mental thing, cause once I have it on I forget how heavy it is.

How waterproof is yours and how easy is it to clean? I feel sorry for mine in the rain and my cloth one has rain inners. But then I hit a locust swarm some time back wearing the cloth one and I still have evidence
The SMQ look is all but about the clothes. All he dressed in looked good, wonder why we can‘t match it ;-)

True 😂 we can try though haha
I do like a bomber jacket 😊
You should take another look at harrison fords jacket.....its not a flight jacket....its just a regular leather jacket.

True … but according to the jacket maker Peter Botwright , he based the pattern on an A2 jacket he had previously fitted Ford with, minus the ribbing at the bottom, similar to the Trenton . He also added the pockets of an A2 jacket to Indy’s .
I want to wear mine but it's 37° here at the moment!

Celsius. It was 39° later. I went out on the Bullet in it with a Merlin Shenstone mesh jacket and still got a bit dehydrated. When it cools off, I'll sport my leather bomber jacket that I've had for nearly 30 yrs. Cheers.
