Many years ago, (when I was maybe 15 years old) I got to go backstage at an indy show, and on that day, I got to meet a few wrestling 'legends', including the Bushwackers, Rougeau brothers, Earthquake, etc..... But none were as cool as King Kong Bundy... he's the only one that actually talked to us young fans, we talked about wrestling, his favorite matches, workers, etc.... he was a total class act.

So many kids loved Bundy in the 80s. I'd say he was amongst the top 3, along with Hogan and Iron Sheik, and let his death put to shame once and for all WWE's so called hall of fame, which Bundy shockingly is not in. It's not like he was Pete Rose who bet on his own team in baseball. WWE should seriously let fans vote, accounting for 50% of the final tally, and sports writers/wrestlers/wwe personnel vote for the other 50%. Vince built an empire but his empire will fall due to his tyranny and ego. Rest in peace big guy

Hands down my favorite heel ever. When I was a kid and wrestling was still played up as real. He was terrifying. Hearing him in shoot interviews now as an adult no question a salt of the earth funny guy. He never took himself seriously and great self deprecating humor. Would love to have hung out with him. As genuine a person there is or was. Rip straight up legit jersey guy. I’ll miss his humor.

We were poor but my parents always found a way to get us to see WWF(WWE) or WWC when it came to town. And of course we loved going to all the local shows we could find no matter how small they were!!! Got to see a lot of great wrestlers and it was something our fam did together! I Loved that part! Enjoy that while it last because it doesn’t always…

Loved Bundy! One of the greatest wrestlers and entertainers of all time! I still have his old school wrestling doll from the early 80's stored away! Priceless matches with Hogan, Andre, Bam Bam Bigelow etc...

Kyle Stewart I’m sure it was Dusty’s idea to give it to Big E. But yes I didn’t know Buddy did it before.

They are dying so damn fast. I watch wrestling since the 90's but i recognize these leyends. I already miss Gene Okerlund, the good old Rowdy Pipper, "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Andre "The Giant", big bad Vader and Eddie Guerrero. My childhood heroes are starting to die.

WELL done video 👍 ,of the BIG MAN himself 💪. 1st time seeing him with his earlier hair too. I still can remember seeing him for the first time, as he was wrestling TWO wrestlers (same time) and whipped em TOO, in the early 80s. And I thought 🤔...THIS guy could be the next "BIG thing" Lol. So glad he ended UP making HIS mark,, as I was ALWAYS a KKB fan as well. Yeah, I preferred/liked lotta "the bad guy wrestlers" BACK then, as I kid, lol. Never did get to see him live, now I think on it.... R.I.P. KK BUNDY 👊

I met Bundy years ago in Buffalo N.Y. at a chicken wing restaurant. I managed to get the balls to ask him for an autograph. As it turned out Bundy was one of the nicest, funniest guys I've ever met R.I.P. my friend.

RIP!! One of the legends of the WWF/WWE. Whether you were loved or hated, you will be remembered as a true legend. I grew up watching you as a kid, and loved the character. It's a great loss to the old greats of the WWF. 😞

Fun Fact: King Kong Bundy was the inspiration for the name of the Bundy family on Married...With Children, he even appeared on the show as a cousin of Peggy Bundy. King Kong - "Cats and dogs, cats and dogs." Peggy - "Is it raining?" King Kong - "No, I'm just hungry." RIP.
