I'm old enough to remember when PPVs only happened on Sundays, so I got a bit confused. None of that changes the fact that many people expected a Drew win and a payoff. A win that anyone with a working brain could see wasn't in the pipeline just yet. People were literally talking about rioting if Drew didn't win. So you tell me, what ever would have given me the impression that there were people looking for a payoff? Do I need to remind you of this year's Mania? How The Rock got sent packing without a match? Do you really think Dwayne and Taker are gonna wrestle now?

Pink running in as the referee was brilliant. It was even a call back to the promo before Mania, teasing Punk could referee, when Punk got down on the mat and counted 1, 2, 3 to prove his arm was ok (during that ridiculous Punk, Seth and Drew exchange). Except this time, the 3 count never came.
