    I just purchased the Wilde driver a few weeks ago. The shank on it is extremely solid with nearly no wobble. I haven't been able to pop out a bit or anywhere close for that matter. I also have the Tekton driver with Torx bits. I like it as well, yet the shank isn't quite as tight as the Wilde.

    That’s awesome. I’m so glad that so many ppl have bought that screwdriver and enjoyed it as much as I have. It really is a good one. Probably comes in handy when on the road. I imagine that multi tools are a necessity for you.

    My biggest gripe with my 6-in-1 is the slot for the wings oxidizes and jams the wings, making it annoying to switch from big to small. All of your small gripes in this video are ON POINT! Every item on that list of grievences is super annoying!

    Just so you know, I think Tekton does offer replacement bits that are just like the Wilde. Part number DZW01007 (phillips) and DZW02004 (flat). You may already be used to it as it is, but if you wanted to change it to match the Wilde you can.

    Nice review. I like the 6 in 1 that Klein makes. Very affordable and well made. Great gift. I just got one made by SK. It’s very slick.

    4:18 -- that's a reason I don't use the KLEIN multi-drivers as much - I don't like the design that uses the shorter, double-bits - the driver needs to have a little more length and strength, IMO

    Klein has the extended reach 6 in 1 (#32559) I carry one for turning screws in deeper holes, and Klein has a good warranty too.

    Haven't carried a 6 in 1 for years, I'm much more an 11 in 1 guy. I've been using Kleins for years. I really appreciate their extended selection of bits. I have a #3 Phillips bit that is hard to find in a lot of multi bit screwdrivers and i often find myself using the 3\8 nut driver. Pratt Read made a couple of nice 6 in 1 one with a rubber overmold similar to Klein but wit more of a tapered handle and also an acetate handled one which i used to carry. I've got the Snap-On one as well which i won't recommend unless you like jiggly bits. I'm going to have to look into that Wilde one, might be the one to make me reconsider carrying a 6 in 1. Thanks for sharing. 👍

    I just love the simplicity of the 6 in 1. It’s great to have an 11 in 1 sometimes and I do miss the 3/8 nut driver and the Torx and squares, but the big double sided Philips and flats are just more enjoyable to me. That Wilde in particular just feels so solid. For a multi bit, it really has very little jiggle.

    Ordered one of the Wilde. Coming tomorrow. My heretofore favorite has been the channellock acetate one. I will report back. One thing I wish there was is one with a PH2/3 and a 1/4/5/16 slotted. I am thinking about a make my own with two tecton. At my one old house I use a 12 in 1 southwire the most because it has the 5/16th slotted which is everywhere from the valves on the toilets to trim screws. Only issue is that it is large so not easy to carry. For vehicle stuff I still like the PB Swiss 6465 and I always have a PB Swiss 6464 in my pocket.

    If you dig stiff multi-screwdrivers, check out the Wiha 11-in-1. Super solid for something with so many options. It has a very similar locking mechanism to that Wilde. Has a nice, beefy handle. And it’s 11-in-1 so it even has the 3/8” which is dope.

    If you can find them check out the Channellock 6in1 its the blue and clear hard handle, USA made 100% $10. I only have one currently went back to try and buy a 2nd 2 years later and the store stopped selling them but they are made still I believe 61A is the part # I believe. I think they might have redesigned this tho to the all light blue handle not sure tho.

    "Jiggle factor" plays into a lot of things one can enjoy in life. 😂 I'm pretty partial to the Klein multi-bit screwdrivers. Pretty sure I learned about those from your vids actually. I'd only had cheapy hand me down ones prior.

    Probably the 'rounded square' handle style with over-molded grip. I really wish WERA would make one or their handles to accept a common multi-bit setup.

    @@realworldtoolreviews I guess it's a European thing - kinda how they like different kinds of crimpers and strippers. The Euro brands always seem to favor the 'multi' screwdrivers that have a bunch of bits in the handle rather than the flip around style common here in the States - i'd argue the latter is superior (in FUNCTION, at least) because you can switch bits with ONE hand while holding onto whatever you're working on with the other.

  • @realworldtoolreviews

    @realworldtoolreviews

    Жыл бұрын

    @@scrambler350 yea and not to mention you have nut drivers in that kind too. All those bits are great and all but I’d rather have a couple nut drivers too. That’s way more useful to me.

    I don't know who actually manufactures theirs, but the Channellock 61n are the highest quality 6-1. They're 100% made in USA, you'll even see USA on the bits which have the best hollow ground profile. I'm waiting for the current one with the new Mayhew handle to be more available, they will be about $20 when they are. That WILDE definitely looks well done, and being one of my favorite companies I may have to try one.
