    It's so weird to see Daniel play without having to verbally/visually bluff or headgame in front of opponents. His real emotions are discussed. Gotta say it's pretty cool to know he gets nervous before flops. The guy actually is human. 😅👍

    Daniel, this is all I've ever wanted: To see you play online and see your cards. I don't really need to hear why you fold or why you play because I can discern that for myself. I don't play hold 'em anymore -- only omaha. And if I could see you do with omaha what you're doing here, that would be a dream.

    1:14:14 I think reraising is a better play. I get the reasoning behind the bluff catching play and the whole you're not getting called by worse or a bluff but I think shoving all in could open up an opportunity to bluff in a similar spot down the road. And you actually might get called by worse and only hands better are quad 44s and K9 which are highly unlikely

  • @damonthomas2975

    @damonthomas2975

    2 жыл бұрын

    Glad someone else said it. His reasoning seemed to be that nothing else would call but if the other guy had a 4 then he might have called, especially considering how Daniel played the hand. He checked back after the turn so it would have came off as a possible bluff. I understand doing either but I also would have raised it. I thought only pocket 4's could beat us, but you were right, King 9 gets there too. Both are so unlikely though that I'm willing to raise just in case he does have the 4 and feels he has to call.

    He made noticeable mistakes after taking that call. The King Queen hand had a couple of bad plays. After the flop he only bet 1 BB he should have bet more. That would have set him up to also bet more than he did after the turn. The opponent would have folded to higher betting. I understand what Daniel was saying later in the video that he did it like that on purpose hoping the guy had middle and bottom pair so he could string him along, but I think if he goes back and watches and is being honest with himself he would agree that he should have bet more after the flop and turn.

    When you read the comments people act as if he's playing so badly. First off hes a pro, he doesn't need any of your advice, hes made over 53 million playing poker. Second he wouldn't of cashed if hes playing so terrible. Finally 3rd its unrealistic to expect him win every tournament he plays in.

    Poker is gambling, that's why you won't see pro players beating amateurs all the time in tournaments like in chess. Of course there's some strategy, but all this "advanced poker theory" looks like a scam to me. All you have to do is patient, wating for good hands in the button or late position, not playing in off position except you have really good hand or you know your right is like to bluffing alot, mostly things you already know, but amateurs usually just don't have the patient. But when that amateur is in good shape and good mind, he can beat the pro without "advanced theory", something that will not happen in chess.
